All you need to do is get a smaller size version of windows to put onto a 4.7 gb cd, and then you can update it later. I used parallels for Mac to simulate a windows computer and then used the program Rufus to download a smaller size iso, like windows 10 version 1709, which fits on a 4.7 gb cd

You’ve got to buy a DVD+R DL 8.5gb DVD. I only found ones that came in as little as 10 DVDs at office max, though Amazon has them for the same price. For reference I bought the Verbatim brand.
Nice video an explanation, i've actually given up trying to install Win 7 and 10 on 2011 iMac, from Lion to El Capitan, info.plist edits to my own partitions, years ago i was successful from Win 7 DVD in drive but forget usb drive, black screen no boot, got Win 10 installed on partition but blue screen error when loading, did work once today but then when to blue screen error, appears it's something to do with graphics driver error but blue screen is stopping me from loading bootcamp drivers, so given up and reinstalling High Sierra.
Ian Kim yeah but you have to go to boot camp -->show package contents---> right click on info.plist and launch with tezt edit---> look for ___USBSUPPORTEDMODEL. Delete the letters behind the blank. keep page up and go to about this mac and then go to system report. put the system name under the usbsupported models

I do not have a DVD that is big enough. Could I use two 4.7 GB discs? And how would I do that?
How can you burn the latest Windows 10 ISO image to a normal DVD? Even when the Image is 4.7 Gb big, I will just get an Error that to Image is too huge.
I get that too. Did you ever find a solution?

it depends how much GB you can store into your disk.An average disk is about 3GB i think, and the Windows file is 5GB

Would this work with the latest windows edition
how did you fit a 4,95GB .iso into a regular DVD ?

Worked on a 2008 iMac 8,1, installing latest Windows 10 build 1909. Other suggestions, employing a USB stick, did not work.
How would you use a dvd if windows is 15gb and the largest dvd space is 8?
Is it ok if I download windows 10 onto an external harddrive rather than a DVD?
Ian Kim yeah but you have to go to boot camp -->show package contents---> right click on info.plist and launch with tezt edit---> look for ___USBSUPPORTEDMODEL. Delete the letters behind the blank. keep page up and go to about this mac and then go to system report. put the system name under the usbsupported models

Thank you so much for this video.
I did everything as you said but I ran into a few problems with BCA and no audio.
What if the iso is over 4.7 GB ? how will i burn it?
is it possible for me to get windows on my iMac?? its a late 2009 iMac
I have a question, what size of a disc do you recommend? The usually dvds that are sold are 4.7GB and there's some that are DVD+R DL that are double layer and can store up to 8GB of space. Which one should I get?
I used a standard DVD-R 4.7GB when I did my install and it worked fine.
So I basically just bought expensive discs for nothing, whoops
Mac Informant I have the exact same iMac as you. Mid 2011 and when I put the 4.7 GB DVD in and try to burn windows 10 on it it tells me "the disc inserted doesn't have enough free space". It's a brand new DVD-R 4.7GB. I'm not sure what the issue is... Please help!
Hi, i've followed every step but when I restart my mac just appears the "macintosh hd" and the "recovery option", no sign of the CD, anyone help me?
hi, I installed windows but I have a problem with the drivers. Even if i run the bootcamp setup manually, I don't have any driver installed. It completes the drivers installation, reboots and nothing has happened. I tried many times to run the setup again to repair errors but still nothing. I don't know what to do. need help
Can you link the disk you used to burn the iso? I have tried a few disks but none of them seem to be big enough. Thanks.
What didk did you choose in the end, running the same problem :(
@@xhekforcaliu9726 got a pc instead lmao. I was never able to find a disc large enough and accidentally wiped my mac and said to only use 16gb of storage instead of the 1 terabyte. Yeah...
I followed all the steps shown but I receive a blank screen on bootcamp with the words “Install this windows support software after installing windows” yet there is nothing beneath it. When I close bootcamp and begin to restart it doesn’t give me the option for the DVD with windows installed in it. I am running a mid 2007 iMac (old I know) is there any way to fix this?
Hi. one more issue. is it possible to default the windows to startup at boot when we press the on key at the back of the mac..Thanks.

Nope, I think that would require some bio mods
I don't know what I did wrong, but the Windows 10 DVD doesn't show up. I used a DVD-RW and put it in, I also put the ISO too. (didn't verify it, it failed verifying it and it took long. running a Mac OS High Sierra.) It doesn't show up when I hold down opt and get the screen thing. Any help?
