Wish I could have kits like that kits is very helpful especially for criminology student it gives them an idea how to assemble and disassembled real firearm like that. For the person who made this video and create these kits good job and thank you for the idea.
They might, especially for large objects like rifles that need to be spliced together. However, honestly there is generally enough publicly sourced information on the real firearms you should be able to figure it out. You might strike out on rare firearms, but common ones like 1911's, glocks, mausers, etc its not that hard.
The attention to detail, especially that markings, is just amazing. Just imagine if we create these using metal filaments with a proper blowback action for semiautomatic fire.
Now that you mention it, it would be pretty easy to recreate the movie prop with these instructions and the 3D printed parts, if white and clear plastic was used, although the side and other large parts would probably have to be injection modeled to look good in clear.
Maybe 1 or 2 people before melting due to the fact of the plastics melting point and the heat of each round if you had a metal firing pin and could chamber it in 9mm Luger or 40 cal or even 45.acp depending on magazine size and capacity’s
its a direct copy of all the parts of an actual 1911, there's no space for a blowback system unless he modifies the shells, firing mechanism and barrel. your better off buying an airsoft one, or doing or yourself, I'm sure his models should be a good starting point.

@@zvc_3DPrint thank you for the reply but i found a video (your old video i think?) where i saw orientation and supports, turns out i can't remove supports like that so i manually added little pillars and printed the frame on it's side, my plan is to print the slide the right way up, that's right, with most of the print hanging in the air on ~1mm thick pillars

@@iceman7077 ar15’s are not fucking military assault weapons. Military assault weapons are select fire. The ar15 is semi automatic (one shot per trigger pull) only and it is impossible to make it an automatic rifle without soooo many new parts

@danimoreon1400 there are plenty, plus with how it is made entirely from a 3D resin liquid, I reckon that it won't even last long to fire more than 3 rounds, and that's me being generous enough to give it a positive impression but overall, mostly the hammer, primer as well as the other metal parts required for the slide mechanism, chambering of a round basically it being the everything that is present within this 3D printed one clearly was not design within a 1:1 replication of the firearms system.

Amazing that he has not tried a single revolver , since the operation of these would not actually require actual munitions . Also , I am quite certain you could make actual firearms with these as templates .
Look up Defense Distributed, specifically the liberator pistol, its being done. People are even making homemade semiauto rifles and such with 3d printed receivers and furniture. it is a technology in it's infancy and will only get better with new stronger materials.
xD I don't think that's possible. The real deal cycles using the inertia of the bullet moving down the barrel. Springs work when they have tension. You could get the slide to move one way or the other, but not both ways.
For realism, weight, metal sound, I think some small parts should be made of metal. magazine, hammer, needle, screws, pins also handle can be made of wood and need painting
i justed print the slide, receiver and the back of the handle... all 3 piece doesnt fit one in another, mind DM me so i can know how to print em to make em fit ? im sure im missgina setting to setup

That is not common, yours just had an issue. I have three 1911's and have shot several others and none of them had to have the mag removed or a loaded mag to disengage the slide stop.

If they painted it with metallic paint and a clear coat. It could look like a real gun potentially.
Make a updated version that is more like a hi capa with the holes in the trigger. I prefer that design much more

In a real 1911 the slide release won’t disengage unless the magazine was removed or their was a loaded mag in it. I found this out with my 1911A1
That is not common, yours just had an issue. I have three 1911's and have shot several others and none of them had to have the mag removed or a loaded mag to disengage the slide stop.
