33:26 Dave reading guides again. It's so obvious when he MAGICALLY knows where something might be. 37:40 and again. He expected to get the ice beam in the room with the missile recharge. "I thought it was going to be.. something else" - Yeah yeah. Sure you did.
Sorry I missed the premier, but I just wanted to point out 1:56 to 2:30, I understand the Wii controls for the Prime Trilogy were a bit unwieldy at the start, especially when it came to visors and weapon switching, but here he reads the text word-for-word, and spends almost a full minute trying to piece it together, and what got me was "How can I release (-) when I'm not even pressing it?" To let go of a button literally means it has to be pressed first, There's no way around it. I'm friends with a couple of people with ADHD/OCD, and a guy on the Spectrum who have better reading comprehension than Phail.
I cannot believe I missed that out, switching weapons and visors in the Wii version was a bit of a pace breaker especially for first timers if they began playing the first game on that version, but at least they've adapted for that particular playstyle. Phil on the other hand, understand instructions and has to look up guides or be handheld to help him play a game, it's like as if the stream chat has to play the game for him while he holds the controller. It is sad that Phil just thinks reading is bad when it is essential to get accustomed to alternate control schemes for re-releases. Also, NP for missing the premiere, at least you can see the video on demand to see how bad Phil plays this game.

I enjoyed the premier of this video and it was pretty good. I have never played Metroid Prime except for Metroid II on the Game Boy many years ago. I look forward for more THIYDP projects soon.
I played Metroid Prime years ago on the Gamecube. I wasn't really into FPS games, but this one was special. I managed to beat it. But getting 100% completion, required a few visits to Gamefaqs. I didn't need someone to carry my hand throughout the entire game. Plus, figuring out the puzzles and enemy weaknesses was a breeze, thanks to the scan visor option. But this? It's like DSP does everything in his power to suck, fail, screw up, and ignore every single clue.
Yeah that's what Phil does when he plays a Metroid game, gets lost, never uses the Scan Visor on the enemies and bosses, blames the game when he doesn't get his own way and always throws his manchild tantrum and blames it on Nintendo and the game other than his own skill issues.
Could have sword I left a comment on here when this came out... Anyway me and berserker from the SoM watched this on watch2gether when the video came out. Leave it to phil to get a guide for a game that tells you what to do every step of the way. The scan is basically all the guide you need for battles yet he keeps forgetting that's an option. How does this guy function?
Ah, this game... I had the original Gamecube version. I couldn't even get past the Frigate Orpheon, at a child. But as an adult? I really enjoyed this game. I even beat it 100%! But DSP? Not so much. *Space Pirates OWNED him!*
And it feels like you're aiming Samus' Arm Cannon like how you are pointing a Light Gun in the Wii version, Phil on the other end is just terrible at games with motion controls because he plays games badly as always.
@@mitchdesertsquiddogaming treating every game like cod, it’s awful that’s why I’m starting to like harder games where you have to dodge or you take major damage
@@jefferythibodeaux5573 thankfully, the original Gamecube version of Metroid Prime and the recent Nintendo Switch remastered version have traditional controls, so you can be able to dodge easier while locking on to enemies and bosses, in fact Metroid Prime does have a hard mode when you first complete the game. Also, Metroid Dread has a Dread mode where it is super difficult where one shot will instantly destroy Samus.
After a whole lot of bs and all that, it's no wonder why Phail will never level up or gain anything for that matter and god the remastered is going to be a lot more worse than the trilogy playthrough (Wii version)
At least he wasn’t as much of a boomer Karen as he is today but still his complaints about the Wii motion controls still proves that there is no pleasing him.
Man, I'm gonna bet he somehow did better than in the Remaster, hadn't seen either tihydp yet but gonna. Also think phil gonna play Pikmin 4? He did played 3 despite not playing the first two that are on switch - I can't believe he playing gta 5 for the third time -
Well, he's done worse on the Remaster, he doesn't retrace his steps and gets his chat to handhold him a lot (and again uses guides to get the Chozo Artefacts), always raging at the game and calling it outdated (when the Remaster has the same mechanics as the original Gamecube release of Metroid Prime) and always blaming Nintendo over having a skill issue. Also, Phil has officially skipped Pikmin 4 in favour of a 3rd playthrough of GTA V.

Yep, he's still relying on handholding in games.
If his 1st excursion to Talon IV is this painful, I dread his second go around for the remaster.
Trust me, he's going to be worse in MP: Remastered.

Hey ferret how's it going
@@cortezbaldur413 Just glad to be in the Sons of Miyazaki. I'm doing good so far.

Yep, Phil’s inexperience with Metroid and the fact that he was too inpatient and not bothering to take his time has cost him badly.
Not a fan of motion controls either but I’m sure that the controls of this game are pretty damn solid

Yeesss
Phil's sexist comments are more disgusting than me when I have a cold
Yeah, past DSP doesn't know how to talk to a woman and present DSP is a wussy.
