I was raised in Oregon for most of my childhood, and this video brings back so many fond memories of my time there. I love the scenery of Oregon so much and having that spirit of exploration that it instilled in me 😊 I will always treasure and remember Oregon, and I hope that I can go back again sometime 😊 I was raised in Beaverton, by the way, and my grandparents and I would always take trips to the Coast or up towards Washington or to Mt. I think this is the 1st time in a VERY long time that I have saved an ad to my favorites. The animation, the music, just the overall tone of this ad is breathtaking to me. As a 3D animator I can only hope to invoke this same magical feeling with my work.
Ok this is the second beautiful Oregon-themed Ghibli style ad I’ve been suggested and I have to say, I am delighted! I’ve subscribed with the expectation of an eagerly awaited third installment of fantasy Oregon anime, and now I guess I have to visit y’all to see more than just the orcas I was already planning on. (P.S., give the animators and PR team a raise!)
Man I’m proud of the team that made this! I kept seeing bits of it on tv and seriously, wow! Every time I see them I’m amazed, thanks for creating such a lovely campaign! :)
I love this ad! As a native Oregonian I could not be prouder of the job you have done. I watched it twice, and had to comment! I prefer the ad over the video I was going to watch. Thanks from the beautiful and great state of OREGON
Hello from Paris, I plan to visit Oregon this summer and I found this incredible advertisement on the Travel Oregon site . I'm a Miyazaki fan and this beautiful anime deeply touched my heart. I think you really captured the Miyazaki spirit and made me want to visit Oregon even more.
The wild thing is, they didn't even get to the really amazing stuff like all of our waterfalls, covered bridges, or the stunning lava fields. So much more incredible landscape to cover in another short.
You know, Oregon really does feel like this tho! I’ve hiked all up and down the Coastline and hung-out in the Beaches in Florence. This amazing animation evokes all of those emotions. Love this! (Oh, and the Sun literally doesn’t set until 10:30pm out there!)
My goodness! I had no idea Studio Ghibli had a branch in Oregon! This is off-the-walls fantastic, and now I really want to visit Oregon. Also: please hug all of the team’s dogs for me.
Again, made me think Miyazaki had come out of retirement. The most incredible advertisement I have ever seen. Can't believe I just said that. Usually hate commercials, but this one I could watch all day! Well done guys! Might actually plan our vacation to Oregon.
That moment when the music comes to it's crescendo as the hikers reach the apex of the mountain rage overlooking the valley crested by the Cloud Giants was incredible. It's a scene that's heartfelt and moving like i would expect from a top notch Ghibli film. I'm guessing Willamette Valley but I don't really know I live in another country, and I am not overly familiar with Oregon.
What an AMAZING ad. Very well done. The music, the animation, the atmosphere. If Oregon was as magical a place as it was portrayed here (and my childhood when I last visited), i'll definitely be saying hello to this state again. Again. Well. Freaking. Done.
