The technique shown is perhaps the worst I've ever seen.

After this, I lost the motivation to paint my ceiling.

I was thinking the same thing. After half of this “advice”, they would need to hire a professional to correct the mess!

damn it will take a week and a half to do your ceiling with all these rules. Yall do know that with the price of painters tape it will cost ya $50 to tape a room.. Unbelivable.

This video should be called 'how to turn a 1 hour job into a 4 hour job'. Also, most of it is wrong. Find another video to learn from.

I agree, however, I am interested to hear your reasoning for not using tape? Is it because, it will mark the wall?

That roller looks completely ridiculous! You have to do a minimum of four coats, even with good ceiling paint....lolz.
I just did it, perhaps a $20 roller would do the trick on the first try. Haha

yeah that roller will fall apart after the first paint coat ..i can almost see it now, looking like the tread coming off an 18 wheelers tire on a hot desert hiway.

The man "painting" at the end of the video isn't even painting. He dips his roller in the bucket and it comes out without paint. Then he's rolling the moulding with a dry roller. Looks like they just set things up for a video shoot or "How to pretend to paint" demo.
