    The thing is, it’s not that these guys can’t talk to women or have no game, it’s just that they don’t want the interaction to be consensual at all. They get PLEASURE from forcing women into doing things they don’t want to do bc it gives them a sense of power. Sometimes these guys aren’t even raping women for entirely sexual reasons, they just do it for POWER. They like having an ego boost and the feeling of power that comes from the act of sexual assault bc they don’t see women as human beings and feel entitled. They feel like it’s their RIGHT to take that from women. It’s a power dynamic thing, a lot of them are rlly insecure and have fragile egos. They’re just truly evil people

    This case infuriates me. Especially the reaction from the Korean police. Whenever I watch terribly bad Korean (and Japanese) crimes against women or children, the police 9 times out of 10, NEVER take it seriously and never do anything to prevent anything further from happening. It drives me insane how cases like this still happen but aren't in the public eye. Terrible.

      Literally you can’tbe in a business and not know all that especially for someone who lives to party he would’ve been there drinking with them some nights for sure. That’s one thing I remembered about him when I was also a fan of big bang was he always tried really hard because I did feel he had that inferiority complex like Stephanie said and he liked to party lavishly.
      But Those fans are disgusting I bet they never once investigated into the burning sun case properly and just blindly followed their belief of old footage of him being “innocent”. Like celebrities have personas people need to remember celebrities aren’t showing their full personality on camera to be filmed good or bad.
      I hope he doesn’t come back to the industry ever again because that’s a danger we don’t need around. I would hope for him to be imprisoned longer but I know that’s too much to ask from the Korean law 🤧
      those poor girls I bet some girls are still living to this day with the trauma they experienced maybe not having the power to speak up as well I really wish them well and hope they have at least one person they can trust beside them because the fear they must’ve felt I can’t even begin to imagine.
      But unfortunately with the status he had built people will still even after seeing all the evidence and knowing every piece of information available if seungri still denies it I’m telling you they’ll eat it up and continue to say everything’s fake. Despicable behaviour.

    I remember watching Grace who is a korean-american rapper, on her youtube channel talking about the time she went to a club owned by an 'A' list korean celeb. She said she went with her fellow female rappers, but since she was feeling uneasy already she wanted to leave early. She said when she entered the club someone gave her a strawberry flavored candy, but once she ate it, she excused herself to her friends and decided to leave early. But then, as she got into the taxi she felt delirious, she said she was dazed and somehow felt 'happy', and it was not a sensation you'd feel when you get drunk.
    So she released the video of this experience on her youtube channel right before the Burning Scandal became big. And she didn't even mention the name of the Club or the owner, but if i'm not wrong she qouted as Club B, and mentioned that the owner is from a top kpop-band and an 'A' list celeb.
    And then after the Burning Sun Scandal became a hot topic, people were connecting the dot, and commented that it must be Burning Sun. She liked all the top comments that said it is Burning Sun.
    But now, i search that video and found out its not there anymore. Her channel is called Grazy Grace, lemme know if you find that video or had seen that video, this is shady as hell.

    as a VIP (BIGBANG was the reason I got into Kpop) I still cannot understand how people still defend Seungri. I remember in old interviews they would ask him about his lavish parties and they mentioned the bottle girls and me immediately getting the ick, and other BB members talking about how after concerts Seungri would go out with his rich friends instead of hanging out with them, how they jokingly predicted he would go to jail, how T.O.P. said he was worried about him because of him alienatitng himself from them and having a bunch of "yes man" friends, and it breaks my heart to say that when the news came out, I was HORRIFIED but not entirely shocked? due to his image as the "Great Gatsby" of SK, it made sense to me that he was involved in shady business, STILL HORRIFIED, but not very surprised which to me says sooo much, I dropped him so fast, I still like the other BIG BANG Members but unfortunately I could never get as invsted in them as I once was because of what Seungri did.

Like genuinely sickening, like i was a fan of almost all of these guys and their groups and saw a lot of shows with them, looking at them now, it’s very scary especially when they’re guys and quite handsome, they have a female fanbase and i was one of these girls, so seeing them around women was the most creepy things.

    Can I just say if I had been the co-owner of that club and it came to light what horrible things were happening there, on top of me being accused of being in on it, I wouldnt be thinking "poor me I feel wronged" I would be OUTRAGED at the club for doing such horrible things and tying my own reputation to it. I would not be so laid back about it, I would be taking prompt actions to get it shut down and remove myself from that business entirely.

    Stephanie’s video really changed my mind on seungri. I was in denial for so long as his fan… I’m so disappointed at how disgusting he was…he was the mastermind. He brought all the people together. It was his side businesses doing the money laundering… it was his friends in the chats, it was his ceo friend that ran burning Sun. It was HIS stardom that attracted people to the club. To say he wasn’t guilty is just not seeing the big picture. I’m just so disappointed. I’ve been a Big Bang fan for more than a decade. This whole situation is absolutely insane 😔 I remember having to pause this podcast a few times when I watched Stephanie speak on this. It's absolutely insane how no one helped these girls and guys who looked completely out of it and it was known as being normal in that certain club 😮 even the bouncers, bartenders, security, other club members and so on were in on it. Absolutely disgusting 😢
    Here in Australia, usually bartenders won't serve anymore alcohol if they can see that you are clearly intoxicated and give you water, actually make you stand there and drink it in front of them. If you're too intoxicated, the bouncers and security will escort you out and give you some water to help sober you up and ask how you're getting home etc. Not all places but the majority of them.
    I remember when I was about 21 and I was incredibly intoxicated walking alone through the Northbridge area. Anyway I lost my money and I remember going into a kebab shop because I was really scared at that point. They noticed that I was distressed and they asked if I was ok, they gave me a water bottle and some chips to sober up. I explained my situation and they called me a taxi and paid for it out of their own money. I will never forget how genuinely amazing and the kindness they showed me that night ❤❤
    My heart honestly breaks for these poor young women who had to go through these situations 😔 I couldn't even imagine how traumatic it would of been for them 😢 I really hope they are doing alright and my heart goes out to each of them ❤️🙏

    Though I was not a fan of JJY band, I definitely liked junyoung. I also clearly remember that I was watching this Korean show "I can see your voice" and he was a guest on that show and he was so funny (this was one day prior to the Scandal) and the next day I was shocked to see him on news....like even though I was not a FAN fan, I was still shook because I never thought he could have a side like that to him.
    What's really sad tho is that, his hardcore fans especially international ones were still defending him and same goes to Seungri, his international fans are the ones still defending him and this really baffles me. Most of the times we portray knetz to be toxic but some international fans are way more toxic and fans defending monsters like them are proof. Atleast none of the knetz are on Seungri/JJY side, if anything Kim is kinda treated like a hero in Korea because all this came to light thanks to him.
    The other day one of the kpop news channels was talking about Seungri's two timing Scandal and the comments 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ literally treating him like a God and defending him. The lengths that these people are willing to go just because they like him jeezzzz😂😂

      Yeah, Seungri was hard for me to accept. BigBang was the group for me for awhile. It was the group that got me into K Pop. It was the group that entertained me and made me laugh through one of the hardest times in my life. Seungri was never my fave but he WAS a part of BigBang and he had the talent to make me laugh in shows.
      This was after TOP’s scandal and it was heart breaking because TOP didn’t need persecution, he needed to pay for breaking the law yes, but he needed some understanding and help because his mental state was not good… TOP got more persecuted by the public then Seungri did. At least in my mind.
      I held out with the innocent until proving guilty with Seungri. He has been proved guilty and deserved more the one and a half years. Laws are way to light with crimes towards women in Korea.

      That's because he wasn't sentenced to prison for the SA, pimping, drugging, distributing of spycams and trafficking. He was trialed for tax evasion and embezzlement, that's why the 18 months only. He actually had to go 2 years but he appealed, enlisted to military duty and it was lowered to 1,5 years at his new trial.

    30:59 unfortunately it happens way too often, those false accusations, especially with rich people and celebrities. But also teachers f.e. Especially since the „metoo“ movement. It’s really frustrating and disgusting. As a survivor I hate those kind of women just as much as the r*posts themselves. Because of women like that, those who falsely accuse men, real victims have it more difficult to either come forward or taken seriously.

    • @chesiresays
      @chesiresays 10 месяцев назад

      False accusations make up less than 1% of SA cases… a man is literally more likely to be raped than to be falsely accused. Let’s not pretend like that’s the reason victims aren’t taken seriously, you know damn well the system and society doesn’t care about victims. That’s exactly why they always ask “what were you wearing?”

    I am DISGUSTED that I did not know of CNBLUE's involvement. I actually enjoyed their music so much and recommended it to my friends, but I just looked it up and not only was one member in the rape groupchats, but another had left the group prior to the scandal because he had a case of sexual harassment towards multiple fans. TWO out of FIVE members?? Sounds really unlikely that the others didn't know, I personally can't imagine listening or supporting them going forward
    As for Seungri, the fans that still defend him make me SICK to my stomach

      @Amy-sg8xg 11 месяцев назад +4

      I'm not much of a CNBlue fan, but don't be so harsh, it is proven that the guy who left because of sexual harrassment alligation didn't do any of the sort. He left because he was dating a fan and he actually is married to her now. As for other members, it's completely different friend group. I'm sure other members of the groups these trash people were in didn't know. They went on record saying they were disguisted and denounced them.

    • @SaGeForReal
      @SaGeForReal 10 месяцев назад +10

      Don’t blame the whole group for a former member’s criminal records. That is not fair to CNBLUE and the fans who still support them. Plus, the Yonghwa, Jungshin, and Minhyuk were just as disgusted, hurt, and felt betrayed by what that former member did and they totally have different circle of friends + Yonghwa was in the military at that time when everything was exposed. So don’t you dare drag CNBLUE into all of this. As for Seungri, it was well known by the members and even some fans..talked about how Seungri is all about grandiose and luxurious lifestyle. So much so that they barely even see or hang out with Seungri because he’s always hanging out with his “business friends”. There was also rumors and talks about Seungri’s love life and how much of playboy and apparently a “rough” lover. This reputation about him has been around it’s just some fans turn a blind eye to it or find it as a joke. I did at one point turned a blind eye to it back then..but I noticed his behavior and even him not being as super close to his own group members to the point where they don’t even know what Seungri is up to and this was around 2014-2015 and they were promoting MADE at this time. There were some jokes that made me feel like things were off especially with Seungri. He also did thing weird variety show involving YG entertainment/artists called YG Future Strategy Office and some of the jokes and references was just weird to me. So yeah..eventually the truth will come to the light no matter how you try to cover it up. Seungri literally was selling women in those chats..never mind if he wasn’t in the group chats with those other idols. He was still selling women and even men to business men visiting his club. No way you can defend or say he can redeem himself from that. HE WAS INVOLVED.. don’t be delusional.
