@@tuck295qall of asia. In my country we have one trial after another, femicide is popular these days. In some cases, like saltanat’s(rotten mango did a video about her) husband was sentenced for 24(?) years, but in other cases men can get away with anything. But rn we are trying to support family of one woman who was k-ed in Kyrgyzstan by her husband,it is horrible case and he has a lot of connections,I believe his father is a lawyer. I also think that South Korea as a country honestly don't think women as human beings and the country don't think that women deserves respect, honour, or even rights to be a human being. I really love South Korea as a beautiful country because it's really beautiful but I don't ever want to live in a country like that. And people live in that country ,even women themselves, they literally don't care other women at all. I'm not saying every single women but I've seen majority of them are like that unfortunately. They are so freaking toxic and these mean people by throwing hate and negativity to every person who they thinks they want to hate is just disgusting. This whole Burning Sun case just hitting so many triggers. And just listening all these things made me exhausted. Sometimes I really think that being a girl in this world is so hard and men are basically free from everything from their birth to their entire life. These cases affects me a lot and still I'm trying to be positive as possible but these types of cases never stops .

The Korean Justice system is so broken. Looking at the drug case that tried to implicate G-Dragon and led to the tragic passing of one of the finest actors as well. The BBC documentary about Burning Sun with the clip of Seungri dragging away an obviously unwilling girl while shouting at her to shut up repeatedly showed his true personality. Yet he still has fanatical fans. So much suffering caused by these men. Cannot be forgotten.

About this case there're 4 things which annoys me the most:
    1. I'm so mad at fans supporting Seungri even tho he basically SA three fans in China and took pictures of it. Same with JJ he went to a fansign ONE DAY after SA girls without consent??? How can people with the right mind support someone like that?!
    2. The severity of the punishment. HOW can criminals like that get such brief detention??
    3. Korea being misogynistic. It's a complete double standard that kpop male idols can have lots of girlfriends while girl idols being labellled as "sl*t". Also the fact how they handled Hara and Sulli. Rest in peace angels, and thank you for trying to help and letting us know about this case. It just breaks my heart how men in Korea still think like Seungri or other men involved in the burning sun: Women are only good for s*x, nothing else.
I always read articles saying that South Korea is safe for women, but let's be real, it's not! Combining my point 1 & 2, it's obvious that Korea have no goal for protecting women and to let them feel like human beings.
If you have the chance just watch and analyze the way korean men answer street interviews, how many of them (also celebrities) look at them or talk about them. You will see a lot of internal misogyny.
    4. Cyber bullying or bullying in general. It's so sad how the last years of Sulli's and Hara's life was basically fighting against bullying by so called "kpop fans" or citizens in general. Why bother if someone's posting a photo in a hoodie? Why care about if the pictures are beautiful or not? It's their account and they where GROWN WOMAN with a free will. Nowadays most of them acting innocent saying that their words weren't that harsh and that celebrities should live with critism, BUT people need to learn the difference between giving critique to a song or a picture and basically hating someone for looking like what? A human being?

The thing that's more disgusting is the fans supporting them knowing what's good and bad. Imagine simply sitting at home hating on someone and that ends up for someone to take their own life. And still hating and blaming them after their death too. Another would be still supporting them even after those horrendous act those men did, i mean im sure girls apart from boys were supporting their idols assaulting their own "kind". Like i even Wanna blame myself being a human at this point. The fact that social media can simply make someone's life horrible. Though its something we hate or don't like with the right of having personal opinion, just shut up, you're no good yourself which makes you a judgemental hater who can't even make any good changes. I wonder if this haters feel guilty of their actions, even after the consequences they caused. Fans apologizing for not being strong to protect them and haters disappearing after what they caused. The timing of Hyuna's relationship with JunHyung is a little uncomfortable, too. There was about a month between when she and Dawn ended their 6 year relationship and subsequent engagement and when she announced her relationship with JunHyung, and now she's sprinting full-speed ahead into marrying him....setting aside the fact that that's extremely fast for Korean relationships, it's recommended to take at least a month per year you were together to heal from a breakup before dating again. More than being upset with her for her choice of person, I'm also worried about her not taking enough time to heal and making rash decisions.

They really do not have a clue what they are doing and that they are destroying somebodies live to the breaking point, I was lucky enough that I got the strength to literally fight back but what proved my previous point to me is that yrs later when I met up with some of those people again all they remembered was having a fun time and that knocked me sideways, So they just say what they want without remourse "cause it was just fun to them. You know, this case made me realize that not everyone in the industry is as innocent as they seems like.
And this also made my desire of living in korea disappear, as someone who is a woman and from the SEA, it looks like I'm not gonna have the best time over there... the absurd amount of misogyny even from fellow women too in this case and other cases I've heard is crazzyyy

What happened to sulli and hara is so fucking sick, all the women hurt by these horrible men. I genuinely don't understand these losers that feel the need to pick on and hate these innocent people's EVERY SINGLE MOVE. It's always the sweetest people that get hurt the most and the worst that never get the punishment they deserve.
I will never hate on an idol ever cause of such meaningless reasons like these. Just cause it "annoys me" or "i dont like it". I'll continue to keep my opinions to myself and I hope others can atleast do that too... just for a persons happiness

I watched all parts to this case...this made tear up a few times, It's so sad to know fully now what Sulli and Hara went through and that they didn't get proper justice, a long with the other women that were also affected as well. It's sickening that these men were vile beyond measure. I pray for everyone to be safe and spread kindness and positivity😢❤❤

But here's the thing they didn't learn because they wouldn't have come out trying to make a comeback and opening a new club it should be impossible for them to get the paperwork needed to open a new club and the women that they let things happen to it disrepects them too and I can't imagine how female idols are now gonna feel knowing that they are out and if they are ever in the same building as them it's really sad they should've learnt a lesson but to them it didn't and even their respective groups that they were in will suffer as well it's just sad all around this just proves what I've been saying to kpop fans that I talk to you just don't really know how these idols act when the cameras are off and they are in the comfort of their home

I started kpop in mid 2017 so i was not aware of most of these events until after the s**t hit the fan. But one thing i remember in my infant years of kpop was how cruel and wild some of kpop comments were. I left the regular life of western music behind for kpop and found a community with many groups and fandoms but when i got too involved like when idol did something wrong and i stick up for the idol ( even if i didn't know the soloist or group) i would get smoke for not agreeing with fans. Let me tell you fans back then had no chill. you did not stand a chance on voicing your opinions and seeing through the bs. Fans back then were ruthless and would always take the side of the male idols. now we see a shift were everyone getting hold accountable but back then women idols and fans were subjected to hate for breathing.

It because he had been able to get away from doing bad/bullying things a lot of the times. Ego, evil complex. These guys usually had an evil personality complex which hite behind their angel personality (they think that they are gods, it can get away with evil things they do, and they can), they are now out of jail as we speak. These animals (men) had no consciences. 😮😢 they give other idol a bad name. A lot of the netizen are HIRED/bought by bad/evil men, to comment and nitpick, blackmail famous women, ie Tzyoung mukbang. That why ARMY had to help BTS. Even now burning sun and MHJ is happening and yet Yoongi drink and drive scooter is made into big news.

I watched old BB interviews and tv shows, and when this freak talked it look so fake, his whole personality and teh way he acts look so fake, he really act really innocent, but I'm interested is was he always a freak or when Bb were at the top of their career he was bored and jealous that Gdragon and others were making more money, fans and attention, idk how he could be normal and than switch up and do this .... someone pls explain to me😢

I blame the rudeness in the Kpop world to the Asian culture. We are brought up very competitive, and hypercritical of others. Our parents love to compare us with other people, who are better than us, in their eyes, and the culture is also hyperfixated on our appearance. That is why some Asian societies like China, South Korea or Japan are probably one of the most unhappy societies in the world. Because some individuals are unhappy with themselves, their coping mechanism is toxic, because they don't know anything else. They fall back to the coping mechanism their parents used to make themselves feel good and that is by criticizing others or better people in the public eye.

“Wisdom is chasing you but you are faster” thats my comment to all those haters e and weird gang rap**** fans
How can someone be so stupid and heartless? I have so little faith in humanity that there is very few things that they can do to shock me, but this entire case is just in a entire different level.
Those knetizies LITERALLY bullied someone to death. All i want is to meet and ask each and everyone if they are happy with what they did. There’s no “i was mad with my shitty live” excuse that would diminish what they did, but it seems that in Korea you can get away by simply saying “I wasn’t satisfied with my live and took it out on XYZ , im sorry” and everything will be forgiven.

Everyone thought ZICO was in the group chats or knew about their doings because he knew about JJY's "golden phone", but it wasn't bc he has a "golden phone" bc of the crimes he's done but bc of all the contacts he had.
ZICO uses the term "golden phone" since that's how you describe an influential person who has a lot of connections.
People were so fast to connect ZICO to Burning Sun just bc of that part in the variety show but he cleared the issue up and distanced himself from JJY and the rest.

I really with all my heart do not want to generalize, but it seems that South Korea is not a good online environment not only because of the mindset they are raised with, but because the law does not apply to people who have money, women's rights are not a thing, expecting to be respected as a woman seems to be "too feminist", you are under constant fire no matter how hard you try because that's how it works for them, also all those cold-blooded cases that go around constantly without being punished just because the perpetrators have money, aren't they supposed to be like a first world country

    The Previous Rulings
On August 12, 2021, after a military trial involving 26 hearings, Seungri was found guilty of nine charges, sentenced to three years in prison, and received a 1.15 billion won fine. Seungri maintained his innocence throughout his trial at the lower court. In an interesting turn of events, several of the Prosecution’s witnesses testified to Seungri’s innocence. However, during the ruling, the Judge decided that the discrepancy was not an indicator of police intimidation despite a few witnesses making that claim. The Judge’s ruling shows he ascribed this unreliability to Seungri. Furthermore, the order emphasized the charges of prostitution and prostitution mediation taking a firm moral stance during sentencing.
Despite giving Seungri a severe sentence in the case of prostitution, the court did acknowledge mitigating factors of 1) no previous criminal record; 2) for embezzlement, it was the largest shareholder Cheonwon Industry who asked for dividends on operating profits while other shareholders only received it; 3) for aggravated assault, the victim did not consider it a threat and didn’t want to punish Seungri.
Shortly after the original sentencing, Seungri filed his first appeal and was granted a hearing by the Military High Court. Seungri’s original sentence was then halved on January 26, 2022. During his first appeal hearing, Seungri pled guilty to all accounts and formally expressed regret and his intent to reflect on his actions and charges. The Military High Court determined that the original sentence was excessive and reduced the prison terms taking mitigating factors into account, citing Seungri’s demonstrated remorse. Furthermore, the High Court overturned the lower court’s order for Seungri to pay 1.15 billion won in restitution.
Later, on May 26, 2022, the Supreme Court of South Korea rejected Seungri’s second appeal for factual error, which claimed regular “Gambling” and not “Habitual Gambling,” upholding the 1 year and 6 month sentencing and judgement handed down by the Military High Court.

    The Misinformation
The gaps between Korean and English translations made it difficult for International secondary news media to report the case accurately. One must debunk myths associated with him to get a nuanced and unbiased view of Seungri’s case.
Seungri was not the owner of Burning Sun Club; he was, however, the face of the club due to his celebrity status. The police investigation proved that the initial allegation about the club was false. Seungri was never accused of rape, sexual harassment, or other sexual assault. These offenses were never mentioned in police reports, the press, or court. Seungri is only associated with the word “rape” due to misinformation spread through social media and third-party articles using unconfirmed secondary sources and poor translations.
Additional misinformation arose when a Korean journalist released a story about Molka chat group (hidden camera), which alleged Seungri was a member of one group. A televised show from SBS media showed so-called chat screenshots of a chat, later revealed to be a “re-enactment” of possible conversations created by SBS. There were 23 investigated group chats, most of which were business-related chat groups. The group Seungri was a member of was a business group and not the Molka chat group. The Molka chat group participants were all arrested, charged, and sentenced for their crimes. After the Molka case ended, no media outlet, including SBS, made any effort to clarify that Seungri was not a part of the Molka case.
This misunderstanding was compounded by Seungri’s indictment for “sharing obscene material,” which was a charge for him sharing a nude exposed back photo on his business chat group. In court, he admitted to sharing one inappropriate but consensual picture sent to him by a friend. He was found guilty of that charge because pornography and sharing “obscene” materials of a “pornographic nature” are illegal in South Korea.
