8 Tips on Where to Submit your Poems

- When we start out trying to get our poems published, it is really hard to know where to start and how to find magazines, journals and competitions. In this video, I give you 8 useful tips on finding new publications and how to decide whether you should submit.

I agree with you on paying to submit 100%. I don't think it's right for publishers who do not pay their poets to ask for submission fees and it often makes me wonder if the publication is worth it since they are making back their overhead from submitters rather than readers. :/
I've pretty much given up on publications paying their contributors but I think you make a great point about overheads. Thanks for watching x
I'm lost in this world, feeling so small
Like I don't belong, like I don't matter at all
The weight of my thoughts, dragging me down
Feeling so alone, in this crowded town
But then hope comes knocking, like a friend
Whispering in my ear, saying it's not the end
That I'm worth more than I could ever know
That I can find my way, and let my spirit glow
I've never done anything wrong, so why
Do I feel like a bad person, trying to hide
From the truth that's inside, begging to be free
To be myself, to be happy, to just be
And then I see the stars, shining bright
But it's like they're mocking me, taking flight
Running away, leaving me in the dark
Feeling so lost, like a wayward spark
But then winter comes, and I feel at peace
Even though I'm shivering, my soul finds release
In the quiet of the snow, the stillness of the night
I find a moment of solace, a moment of light
But the world is so cruel, punishing the weak
Leaving me feeling defeated, like a powerless freak
And I want to run away, to escape this gutter
To find a way out, to find my own butter
And then I find something, something that's strange
A desire, a selfishness, something that can change
And I feel alive, feeling stronger every day
Even though it's not right, even though I should stay away
But I need to forget about reality, just for a while
To find the overwhelming sense of freedom, and let it pile
Let my spirit soar, let my heart sing
And maybe, just maybe, I can find my own salvation within.

What I am wanting to do, is getting information on how to write a poem using Google docs and then transferring it to a poem group that I am joined with.
Open Google Docs, Write your poem, Button in the top right corner is to share, you can either add their emails or send them the link.

My question to mankind is why???
Why do we do nothing to change our wolds song
Everyone knows there's something so wrong
Perhaps the meek will educate the strong
Peace is such a beautiful concept where people get along
Love and true compassion lead the way
Today's the day to make tomorrow a better day
You change the world one person at a time
Empathy for another makes your soul shine
Could be just a simple real life conversation
If you see another struggling with their current situation
Just by letting someone know their are those who truly care
Instead of walking by with a blanked blinded stare
if tattered clothes is all they have to wear does that define what your seeing
Their just a struggling human being
You know not what burdens they've lived through
Ask them my friend just what troubles you can I help you
They might need to feel some love from their fellow man
A simple kind gesture of extending your benevolent hand
Share some wisdom some direction from your wise well
One down now up perhaps a friend or two he'll tell
A down to earth movement that becomes a ground swell
Shine your light in a world that's going to hell
Forget about the ignorance of needless profit making blood money wars
Let love and empathy lead the way for peace to soar
We all have a important part to play
If the good truly desire to make tomorrow go our way
So to all that know humanity is on the wrong street
Make a difference with the next person your blessed to meet

Insufferable
