As a writer and diploma graduate in 'Writing for Creative Industries' I found this video so helpful. Wisdom from a soul that has rolled up their sleeves and got the job done! Nice work Josie - off to go watch the other vids now. hugs from NZ

Could you do a video on the logistics of publishing with a pen name?

I will add it to the list but this might take a while as I'd need to do the research. Is there anything in particular you want to learn about?

Hey folks, and @josiealfordpoet. Anyone have info on sites similar to Submittable for New Zealand. I have two collections I'd like to query/pitch. Many Thanks!

Hey pal! I don't know about any specific sites but I suggest checking out the publishers websites for your favourite NZ poets to see how they accept submissions

Hey Josie, my table of contents for my chapbook is taking up 2 pages, and the second page is only the title of 2 poems (visually it looks bad to me) because of the double spaced manuscript format rules. I was wondering if it's okay for me to just make the table of content page not double spaced but maybe 'at least' format so it can be just one page? is that fine or should I stick to the regular formatting and my second page of my contents isn't really a big deal that I'm making it?

Great question: if the publisher has asked for double spaced for submissions then do as they say. This isn't how it will look in the book so I wouldn't panic too much about this.

Should I mix my cover letter and poems onto one or two separate pages?

I would say two separate documents and attach them separately to the email or include your cover letter in the email.
