    I got my Aussie delivery 1 month ago and I put 1000km in a week. and I think it’s worth every dollar and I think its a great for that price. Before I drive the car I think it is over priced and should be around $55-60k drive away and I signed my contract last year subject to test drive. However as soon I test drive it I am couldn’t wait to get my type r every day. And I sold my recent 2022 BRZ for the type r in my already full garage. It is not just another hot hatch. It is a special car, it is GT3 in a FF world like many RUclipsr said. The N is the best value for money hot hatch without doubt, but all great product never linked to value for money. If it has a European badge it’s easily priced for over $100k. The difference is not on spec sheet, it is the attention to detail from the type r engineers put into made this car special.

    Hi Matt..... Excellent review....i got mine last Friday in Championship White...this looks a million times better than the FK8 which looks like a melted transformer....i previously had a GR Yaris before which was great but sitting position, stop start, high beams and rear view mirror position were awful....this is so much more refined....options are a bit $$ (i also order OEM accessories from PRL motorsports in the US)...cheap $199 capped services....a bit pricey yes but resale in the future should be great....thanks again 🍻🍻🍻

    A typically great, honest review. On the lack of a spare tyre, the simple comment ’I guess it depends where you live’ shows that Matt gets this issue. I live 50 kms from town and my wife and I are often driving home at night. Not a place I want my wife stuck on the side of the road awaiting assistance that may take hours to come. Very few places to safely park, heaps of big trucks on the Cunningham Highway.
    Great car, great review.

      @JacesOwnWorld Год назад

      No they aren’t. Track times only see the CTR being barely, and I mean barely, faster than other hot hatches. No, I’m not talking about tracks like the Nurburgring, but more so tracks that CTR owners will mostly be driving on. That is, much smaller and tighter tracks. And for that split millisecond of a time difference, that really just comes down to how good a driver is over another anyways, CTR owners are paying well over $30k more for it over other hot hatches.
      Sorry, none of the other hot hatches are “shaking” lol.

      *I had one lined up with the local regional dealership only to be told that ford planed on bring on 55ish and that there were others on the list well before me, and to make it worse the had MARKED them all up, I even tried my contact at Fleet Services to get one and no can do. The i30n sedan DCT is quicker than this. There definitely isn't a 20k difference in performance and I've driven both. Its definitely better than the older i30n hatch platform but on track the newer sedan comes very close to this if not more fun to drive and live with on the street. Its definitely back to awesome honda of old this car but i wouldnt pay 72k for it.

      yeah but the lame duck DCT, screw Hyundai for the stupid DCT transmission, its awful when driving in day to day situations the shudder/stuttering on take off no thanks not interested especially if you live in Sydney in high traffic areas like I do, it would drive me crazy.

    • @mharro88
      @mharro88 Год назад

      @@351tgv what are you talking about? The wet clutch new 8 speed DCT in the i30n sedan has none of those issues. It's better than a VW DSG and near porches PDK it's that good. Reliability is still to be questioned though.
      You're talking about the dry clutch 7 speed DCT that Hyundai put in their lower trims. That has low speed stuttering.

    • @351tgv
      @351tgv Год назад +2

      Nope I drove a i30 N DCT in Sydney traffic and is was pure hell with so much shudder and stuttering in crawling conditions it out me right off for considering the i30 N as a day to day car, just awful crap, that said once at speed it was quick but what's the point of you need to be doing over 70 to 90km/h to get the best out of the transmission, the drive through the National Park (Sydney south) was brutal at low speed corner so much torque steer it was not a good feeling, I'd rather the manual version but again not a fan of manual transmissions.

    • @kuracodovce7514
      @kuracodovce7514 10 месяцев назад +1

      The i30n DCT did a Nurburing time of 8 minutes and 5 seconds while the Type R did it in 7 minutes and 44 seconds. That's not remotely close performance, not even taking into account the fact the Type R is manual.
      That difference in time is the same as if you were to compare the Type R to a Ferrari 488 GTB...........

    • @mharro88
      @mharro88 10 месяцев назад

      @@kuracodovce7514 the i30n hatch isn't even remotely close in performance to the sedan anyway. The sedan is on a newer superior performing platform. The DCT is tuned differently, it's lighter and quicker in every way. So that time is irrelevant. To a quarter mile the dct N sedan is quicker than the type r every time. On track it would be close. The sedan managed to beat last gens type r on track in a few videos on here.
