Warface changed name recently, and became Warface: Clutch! With that Blackwood Games also did some updates in the game that might be worth looking into, but the big question for today is if Warface is worth your time and money in 2024? Let me know your thoughts as well!

@@jdmyers7 Some "good"old games" that could be of your liking is fps games such as Ironsight, Black Squad, and maybe Dirty Bomb. Some of these games are of course old per say now, and have a smaller community than before. But they can still be fun playing. If you like third person shooters you might wanna check out Rogue Company as well. Just a few examples. I have a free to play fps playlist on my channel where I do play some of these titles and others as well :)
Is Warface worth your time and money? To get the good tings is hard now, and expecive. (0,1%) No new maps, pve or Pvp. No new coding on old maps, bad guys still poping out same place years later....
The problem at this point is not lack of content, pay to win. But it's actually not been able to play the game. Joined a special operations and got disconnected after 4 minutes in alongside the other people with me. So we can't even play. Not to mention the low number of players. Sad times.
I played this game for 6 years, I miss playing from 2016-2019, it was at the best moment for me to play, at my opinion and I have over 3000h and there I actually met really good friends and friends for life.
@@40splishsplash yeah, many emotions that people would never even believe it's possible to have and gain with playing game and meeting many people and gain few of those friends for life that you never thought it would happen because that's how you heard or learned from others untill you show them differently, game world is much, much bigger and awesome than what other people who are not into gaming doesn't understand and will never understand it until they give it a try, some of us just started with gaming early at young age and it became our therapy, our world, our passion, adrenaline when you win tournament or few important rounds with your teammates or friends, it is not just a game, it's whole amazing community with different people from different beautiful places.
@@Majsta98 ouuu yes, open cup weapons, I remember when muller sniper was in box for 60 credits and when you could get ac7 smg for while unlocking engineer things and r16a4 when it was for 100 000$ but wasn't auto, I think it was shooting like 2-3 bullets like downfield.
finally, a content creator that actually knows what pay2win means.. so many either claims the game they play isn't pay2win or say that a game they dont play is trash because its pay2win and both games could have the exact same monetization practices
Thanks for saying! Yes, there's often different interpretations when it comes to what's pay to win, although the definition of p2w is quite clear. And people tend to wear different glasses(!) sometimes, when saying that a certain game is pay to win but another game isn't, even though the the games (as you described it), has more or less the same kind of monetization system. Interesting psychology :)
Played this on my Playstation around 2017 with my friends and was checking my playstation library and saw this game. Brought back so many memories since we do not talk to each other very often anymore. Great video keep it up!

My only issues with warfare is the lack of servers (for me) with ping that isn’t 270+, the lack of varying maps, low player base and how it can be pay to win most of the time now.
i think the reason i like warface is because of the older graphics and the fact its a 10 year old game, older shooters are so much better then the new ones that i find myself going back to the old CoDs and other games like them
I just returned to the game with my best 2 days ago , we last played warface almost 2 years ago , and we ere surprised how much they changed the menu and other stuff which i kinda dont like and also we were gifted a lot of good wepaons and armor probbably blackwoods atempt to make the game less pay to win (we are free to play gamers btw) which helped us a lot but there are still other op wepons and armors that make the game harder to play , not the mention that there are no new story missions and lore ...

I'd say it's a pay to win faster game, rather than just pay 2 win, still not my preferred method, but they have made quite a few ways to earn meta guns
This game was my first ever fps game when it released. Me and my father always used to play either against each other or with each other, indeed he always used to win and that gave me the drive to become better than everyone then rematch him. He passed away 3 years ago and my drives been gone ever since then. Yes i still play fps games i still aim train, but it doesnt feel the same anymore. The more i train the more i feel like im parting away from my own self. I still want to play warface just to remember all the memories but it just doesnt click anymore, thanks for this video by the way. Hope you have the great rest of your life happy new years.

Ah I remember playing this game non stop when I was a kid, I would come home sneak onto my dads computer and play this game and put all worldly events behind me, what good times
I play warface for a long time already (3000+ hours). And I think that nowadays it is not that bad. If you define P2W like you did, you are right. But there are many ways to get any weapon for free - Battlepass and events (it needs a bit time I agree). But there is also PVE system, where you need to win 4 hard special ops per week 3 times and you can buy weapon without spending money. This means total play time for 2-3 hours a week for your desired weapon. Meaning there is no grind for weapons - it takes 12 hours total to be able to purchase the best weapon. The way I see p2w is: if there is something that can help you in game and cannot be obtained via f2p currencies, this item would be considered P2W. I don´t see anything like this in warface, everything is obtainable without credits. (When new weapon comes out, you can not get it without spending real money, but it is always in the next battlepass (about 2 months). There are also possible modification to many weapons, which makes it possible to play multiple weapons with different styles (high-rpm small-dmg, small-RPM - high dmg). This makes even older weapon playable a competible with new meta weapons. This system is also absolutely free. As for the armor, there were much worse times than now, for example titan era, warlord era, earth shaker helmet era etc... Now you can buy best armor set for ranked points which are very easy to obtain. Everybody is able to have the best armor. However I agree it is not ideal to keep adding stronger items to the game... Game has some issues like server problems, packet loss, high ping players being able to play and other stuff. As for the hackers, I meet maybe 1 hacker a year, I dont know where people find so many hackers as they claim, I have strong suspision that usually the so claimed "hackers", are just skilled people. I would probably say it is worth to atleast try (maybe even play). I have always been spending some small amount of money in warface. For the last year of playing there is no need to spend anything, unless you want cool skins and other cosmetics.
Thanks for some good and valuable feedback, when it comes to someone that has played Warface a lot, and most likely for quite some time as well! I enjoy to read these kind of comments since it adds some extra insight and info that is hard to get if you're only (like me), playing a game such as Warface now and then. And even though there's flaws in the game (which is the case in many games), I do enjoy coming back to play Warface once in a while, and I'm glad to see that the game is still up and running, doing ok at least. And as you say, I do hope that more people try out the game. It's an easy thing to do, especially since it's free to play, so it will only cost you the time invested to download and give it a go for a couple of hours :)
Statement made seems fair and accurate to me. Cheating was the main reason i stopped playing, even in PVE. people sprinting the maps with an LMG landing 95% headshots. I really liked the game and would love to see it “re-mature” again.
I’ve been playing this on and off since the beta from over 10 years ago, I thought it did have some positives especially at release with the graphics looking good at the time compared to games like CoD ghosts and others on the older cod engine games. Now though I think MW19 has set the standard of what we expect in terms of graphics and animations going forward so it will be hard to bring people back to this aging game
Thanks for saying, since I believe a lot what you say makes sense. Yes, the game looks and feels a bit old compared to modern shooters. It still has it's positive sides, but as I say in the video; I did enjoy the game more some years ago, mainly due to how the weapon balance was back then. Not perfect by all means, but the way it plays now in combination with strong armour..? Not sure that was a good idea :)
I played Warface about 10 years ago, and it was the last online game I ever played. The two major issues I had with it were the pay-to-win mechanics and the prevalence of cheaters. Back then, I was so frustrated by the cheating that I even began learning C programming with the intention of creating cheats myself (though I never followed through). Fast forward to today, and I'm now a software developer (C/C++).

Yes, you are absolutly right. We have a little team with friends. Everyday we play ranked and we can't understand what happening in the game. Every months become new weapons what is absolutly overpowered, but shotgun does not kill the enemies in one shot and snipers too. 6 years ago when i played the first time, your best assault weapon had 80 max 83 damage. Nowdays 95-110 just for exemple. All weapons have no recoil, this game is not about skill, is about internet and money. When you have lags because of the internet and ping, you wont be able to kill the enemies. You are correct, you can be good without spending money for the game, but everybody have to understand, if players dont give money, they wont be upgrade the game. So i dont know what to do, really hard question, but this game is still good, maybe they need to promote the game better and yes change the main engine, because nowdays everybody has an atomreactor at home and they wont be play with a 10 years old game. Of course they will buy the new COD or something.
Thanks for your comment! I believe you're making some good sayings about how Warface feels and plays today compared to how it used to be quite a few years ago. It is hard, since the game devs have to make money somehow, and monetization is very common in games nowadays. I just wished they would have chosen another way already back when they set up the store in the game. And as you say, since the game feels a bit outdated, at least when it comes to graphics, comparing it with more modern titles, then it's also hard to bring new players into the game. It's a bit of a shame, since the actual gameplay (especially how it was some years ago), has been the thing for me, or the reason why I cam e back to the game over and over again :)
Its obvious for every players out there that wanted to showcase theyre skills ... There no surprise that a game with all about money and not skill unworthy of time.. give up to this game and switch to other games that more worthy and environment friendly for those wanted to be pro's by showcasing skill based gaming not money based gaming coz you cant win to those bot moves but had a very pack-a-punch weapons and operators.. imagine yourself using a sniper or a shotgun but enemy killed you with a pistol with some kind of out of this worlds upgrade..
Plus.. you dont have to use money on a game if not necessary too coz your 1 of a million players who play the game and with that 90% of players around the globe are spender and 5% of players are skill showcase while the remaining 5% left the game and find another worthy game.. a money based game is like theres many cheaters inside playing and its legal compared to other games that you can show everything you've got with spending a little money just to buy battlepass makes you unique not above the others... Players wanted balanced game not a game that makes you stressed more when you are already stressed plus the 90% of players who spends in the game were making the developers rich already and the rest of 5-10% already has a big part of the game also..
I remember going in Warface back in 2019 and it was a nightmare but now it feels like a new game and i'm happy about it. I wish that PvE got an update/lore/mission changes.
@@ckingch Ok maybe I exaggerated. P2W is still there but free players can get strong weapons/equipment way easier than before it's not even close, but about the rest? Once you feel the horrendous servers you realize it's not that far away from the original thing.
@@ckingch If you want to give it a try, go with your expectatives low because idk if the PC version suffers more from the P2W issue since there are no contracts or the same loot boxes so i can't tell if they have their own method. Ranked is boring because of the repetitiveness (every game feels like a Counter Strike 1.1 match) and graphics never had a noticable change. Oh forgot to mention again that PvE while it is very fun, it has been over a whole year since console got the last Spec Op not counting Interlude since it feels too short to be a spec op.
@@ckingch I meant to say in* not *if but I suggest You try the console version first. Keep in mind you will need to grind byt just go to Operation Blackwood a few times and you are good to go. It's like Cayo Perico from GTA 5
I don't know about anyone else but this game feels just right for me at the moment. I used to play Call of Duty daily, however I fell off because I couldn't justify wasting the space on my console and with every year Call of Duty takes up more and more storage. I now haven't played since the Modern Warfare 2019 and I've been wanting to hop back in. Call of Duty is a very chill and relaxing game for me at times, as funny as that may sound. It's perfect for throwing on some music and getting locked in to. However once again the storage requirements are just too extreme for me. That's where Warface comes in perfect because it's only 10 gb on PS4/PS5. Plus I absolutely love playing Medic. I can never seem to revive anybody because they end up spawning back in too quickly but it's really fun for me running around the map and healing everybody as they are getting shot at.

That’s understandable but for us who been playing it from the time it was out the game completely changed in a bad way but I can understand why newer players like the game the foundation of the game is what brought me in
Since x box and ps fixed the cheating controller issue, i have returned to warface. I enjoy it more than ever! My new stats still suck but auck far far less than they did a year ago.
The problem i have the most with this game currently is pay to win i dont remember if it was like that back then but you can buy an golden ak 47 thats really op or others op stuff Well i hope the game gets better in the future with the other things happening like lack of content.
@@Samsubduer Yes...Sure, they have done changes so that you can unlock more or less(!) the same stuff that you can buy, just by playing the game. But, if there's a "shortcut" by paying real money to get better gear faster, than quite a few players will do that.

as a veteran, Warface 2016 was the game's prime. And at that time, it was a better FPS than other titles like Battlefield, COD, Halo, best gameplay for sure, lack of creativity and P2W factore surely killed the game. Best gaming experience i ever had tho.
That is literally a horseshit statement. I’d rather spend the $70 needed to play MWIII and have everything I need than play this game for “free” but then spend over 5 times that amount on a lootbox system that has godly weapons.

Playing on Switch which had its own niche community and it was really balanced before they brought in crossplay updates. Ever since the games felt so choppy no matter if we turn on/off crossplay. The performance and server connection fairness just feels soo off.

I think everything that was said in the video is right and I dont want a downfall for warface because as a switch player I dont have realistic fps shooter that are free and so warface needs something big or like Splish said a sequel.
i remember playing it when i was a child in 2012. pve missions and unlockables were so cool, sad they just stopped focusing on that aspects by switching to p2w
New to this game and totally hooked. I play it on the nintendo switch oled with a gaming controller. However,i cant find any plant the bomb games even with 10 min of waiting. Would love to play that.

Was such a banger between the 2015/late 2018 period. Lots of players at their prime like domzkilla and fade making you enjoy the game like crazy. Now every fps war games are dying or dead anyways with this new generation coming up
Yes, I agree. Those years were the peak of Warface, in many ways. Since a few years back, there's a strong hero shooter or/and extraction shooter trend going on, which makes it harder for "normal" respawn and boots on the ground shooters to compete.

This was one of my favorite games to play I tried it again and it’s not what it used to be at all everything feels different the game was so fun to a point where I was spending money on it something I never do I thought I check up on the content of people playing it to see how it’s doing and that’s how I ended up here I played the game around early 21-22 and took a break and tried it in mid of 23 and you can feel how different it is sad because I really liked it I remember being rank 1 grinding to get to double gold bar ranks and that’s were I stopped in rankings
this game was my main game in my early teens. mainly playing COOP missions with my friends online. beating bosses and really hard maps. it was absolutely amazing. though I remember the game looking better than in the video... do you have the graphics on max settings? or maybe because it is so old xD anyway.. this game was fun because of the COOP for me. the PVP wasn't fun and many times you would have hackers or in my case I used to have an older laptop and I couldn't even run the game smoothly at 720p xD
Thanks for sharing your Warface memories! No, I'm not playing on max settings when it comes to graphics, since I mainly play Pvp and want good fps. You also need to watch the video in the 1440p setting on RUclips even though it's recorded in 1080p, since the 720p and 1080p codex sucks on RUclips.
man i remember playing this when i was 11, it was the only "advanced" shooter that my laptop could handle and i still believe that old warface is better than any Call of Duty game and games of that sort (dont play much of those anymore) but looking at this now its sad seeing this game going P2W and the graphics and gameplay looking like Krunker and with so little maps i would literally rather playing a mobile shooter on an emulator. Man things really did look way better as a kid

I still think that Warface is a pretty cool free to play fps, but time is catching up and it hasn't really improved much recent years and not so much new content either.
Real veteran here. I played warface in the browser (Gface) there were a lot of cheaters but the game was ok (looking at you Pepsi and Made in China). I spent thousands of hours with my friends, real friends that i appreciate a lot. And it is sad to see Warface in that state and it was all thanks to mycom, that was the last nail in the coffin. Short answer: don't even try to play that game again, let it die.

I don't think people really understand what an aged vine really means. Unless you have two or more bottles of the same vine, same year, then how would you know if it's better with age? Anyway, I just think it's a dumb comparison. The game it self looks interesting, I tried it many years ago, but I gave up on it pretty quickly.
Nah, not a dumb comparison but more likely a bit far fetched :) I knew that the comparison between a good aged wine (not all wine brands/grapes gets better with time), and a good old game, would be a bit to hard to get. But the bottom line is simply that some older games stands the test of time better than others, and coming back once more to Warface made me realize that. Cheers!
I just found out about it last week. I've downloaded it and I'm going to try it out this weekend. It looks awesome and it's free. Im super excited and curious to find out why there isn't so many more people playing. As far as your definition of pay to win goes it's not totally complete. Pay to win is defined as " a player has the option to spend money to gain an advantage over other players who are not able to obtain the same advantage without spending money" Buying faster progress is not absolute pay to win and in that sense most people are ok with it. Nice that you're getting into Warface, I hope you'll have a good time playing. Well, the "pay to progress" or whatever you wanna call it, is still a kind of pay to win situation, if it's a shortcut to better gear. And no, most people are not okay with that, since it gives you an advantage over a player that aren't willing to spend money playing the same game (f2p game). It's been a subject of discussion for a long time when it comes to many games out there. Fortunately most modern games nowadays have monetization models that only includes customization options when it comes to skins and characters and not actual weapons behind a pay wall. Cheers :)
Played Warface since the beginning too, but the game didn't changed one millimeter from back then. The developers try to make small changes to the game but we need a full refont of the graphics the modes pve or pvp the maps and everything. I noticed way more lags and network errors/disconnections in comparison with back in the days too, major problem and in particular for new players that discover the game. All that without mentioning the p2w, the cheaters and the lack of players in particular in PVE.
It’s funny that this video just showed up on my feed right after I redownloaded warface yesterday, after not playing for 2yrs straight. Even though the game is nothing to brag about, it’s got a lil soft spot in my heart because it was the only game that held me down for some years when I had a shitty pc 😂😂
The last time I played I noticed that br mode is pretty much dead and one of the biggest issues I had was the degrade system. Warface is basically just cryengine combat arms. If they went the route blacklight went then it would at least be semi servicable but it's pay to win and continue to pay for upkeep.

Depends on what you like as well, but maybe check out the new CS2 if you like more competitive shooters (also free). I liked to play this game but at some point i cant play it anymore as a free to play gamer, I am like one Shot no matter what weapon and my enemys dont even die when i snipe them TWICE and i have to stay at fire fore 1 seconds to kill someone They kill me in 1 shot and i cant do anything against it even when they move like rocks and aim like snails😂 Can someone help me like how do i get usable weapons? An Armour?
What you experienced when it comes to sniping is something that has changed through the years, among other things. The snipers were more of a one shot kill before. When it comes to weapon "meta" in Warface, I don't really have a clue, since I don't play the game that often any more. I hope someone can help you with that one.
I still currently play warface my only problem is progression and overall way you earn weapons especially in pvp like cmon a 0.2% chance to get a gun not even the one i want
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't understand why the game doesn't work at all. I installed it again yesterday and tried to get into a match, but nothing was happening. The Amsterdam server was seemingly closed and the only one available was from china. I'm from Europe. I really wanted to give the game a chance, but they make it so difficult. They have a separate launcher, it's confusing... I also took a look at the player count and it seems that the game is slowly dying. It's a pitty.

This is a community game and like all community games it should be concreted in. Phantasy star online for gamecube still has a online server that people can play online together because the community supports the creator for doing so. Hope I shed some light on the subject of old games

It is still up and running thanks to community servers, since there aren't any official support any longer. Yes, a strong community is indeed important, even though if we're talking low player numbers.
@@40splishsplash low player numbers? There both low in players still there are handful of people, groups so called that make things like games work way out of there boundaries and limitations. If something is ment to stay around because its quality or the fact its needed. Man or women will find alternative ways to keep so in there daily lives. No matter the situation.
4:02 this is 100% true. It has been a while since i played warface but i remember every time i tried to play it i just couldn’t look past the p2w aspects. P2w never good for a ”competitive” shooter game

Discovered warface during pandemic. Loved the simplicity and the variety of gun types. Also many games in its class like WWZ or COD gives me motion sickness but warface doesn't. Love that the killing and dying of players is dramatic and funny and not too realistic making it fun to play with kids too.
I recently came back and while I do love the new default gear, I hate that co-op is still filled with people who do nothing but either go AFK or grief by team killing in hard missions. Can't even do with Spec Ops missions because ai truly feel like the only competent player in the lobby. Makes grinding for anything, especially cash a bore to do. Maybe some single player missions that anyone can do for cash and other goodies as well as the feature to view available lobbies and the players info (especially their level) would definitely be something I'd love to see. That and I feel like contracts were better the last time I played, which was during the Asgard season. Weren't there plenty of free contracts to do for resources and customization options? Now the only free contract I see is for parts. Not bad but ranking up weapons seem to take a pretty long time so it's not like I'm gonna have plenty of use for them.
If you only play tdm or ffa I can understand why you switch to other games. Because the game dynamic doesn't come out as well as in ranked (tdm). The team play is what makes it better than other games like CS:GO or Valorant. If your team plays well enough together you can even sometimes win against hacker. A round is never lost until the last second because anything can still happen. The core gameplay is what keeps the game alive. After Mycom bought the game everything went to hell. They don't know what the strengths of their game were. Every addition destroys the basic gameplay. 1. Armor that you can only wear in the set. 2. Armor that can withstand too much. 3. Weapons that do too much damage. 4. Movement speed which destroys the map flow. 5. Weapons that make certain classes more independent from each other. 6. The neglect of the clan system after ranking was introduced. 7. ... There are also game changes that just make the game worse. 1. Body skins that increase your stamina (up to 80%) 2. Snipers no longer kill enemies with one shot. With the exception of the newest weapons in the shop. 3. Weapons are bad before you fully level them up. 4. The new weapons do twice as much damage as the old ones. (from 75-80 to 130-150) 5. When it comes to armor, you can only play the newest ones. (old 125armor - new 350armor) 6. Molotov and gas grenades make normal tdm unplayable. 7. PVE bots simply become bullet sponges in harder missions. You now have no chance even in PVE if you don't put money into it. 8. ... According to Steam I have 8000+ hours in the game and according to the game I have 3700 hours(since 2014). I hate the game but there is no alternative for me. Thanks for your in depth comment and feedback, when it comes to pointing out things that have made the game worse over time. And most likely, you're better off today to play ranked in Warface. Playing with a team and towards an objective makes sense, something I usually prefer as well. I also agree with what you wrote initially, that Warface was overall better before Mycom bought the game. But even so, the core gameplay is indeed what keeps the game going still :)
i liked Warface back in 2015 when for good weapons you need to play alot of The HQ tower,or alot of PVP. If they would add just some cool skins for guns and let the guns / gameplay like it was, this game would kick out some new era shooters. But they prefer to make it p2win. Would be also nice if they would add a battle royal mode.

It unfortunate that they decided to go with the p2w model, otherwise it could have been an even more attractive game still in 2024. Sure, they're trying to balance that some now, but the monetization set up and model has been more or less p2w over time.
I’m a veteran in warface playing it since 2020. It used to be way more fun back then. More people were playing so less time queuing. Now it takes long to find a match game is dead. Back then we didn’t really have a connection problem now it’s just ridiculous. What I don’t understand is why are players with 1-2 bars able to play? They play like aren’t lagging. When Im in a gun fight with them they make me lag even tho I have really good connection. I get no bullet registration no aim assist I get f Over, I will never understand that? Back then we’re No mods either. Back then No map rotation cause Right now there’s a map rotation going on and we can only play a certain amount maps. Maps they took out were motel, d18, shuttle, AUL, Crossing, tunnel. Back then Guns didn’t do over 100 damage. Armor wasn’t broken. Don’t get me wrong there was a meta and still is but the meta weapons back then weren’t broken like todays meta weapons. You can use underdog weapons and still do good. If you were good enough you can beat players with meta weapons back in those days. Now you can’t. We still face the same problems from back then today. Netcode is still garbage. Hit reg is still trash. And what really killed the game for me is when they implemented mods in warface. I was hoping the mods were only for trash weapons but it was also for some meta weapons too. That was also the same day they added a new meta AR and that gun does 99 damage. That gun blew away every damn weapon in the game. Cause the highest damage weapon back then was the Galil Ace gen 2 and it does 94 damage and we couldn’t mod it. So SA took over until they added more broken modable weapons. These mods were just another money grab system. Now the current meta is the stk it does 110 damage with out mods rpm is 855 with mods is 923. I’m just sick and tired with all of this mod crap. I’m just waiting for xdefiant to come out and I can finally stop playing this dog 💩 game.

I recognise what you're describing when it comes to how balance and performance felt a few years ago compared to now. And it's a pity, because Warface was better before. Again, you describe the situation well and also made some good examples when it comes to stats (gun damage). I wish they took their experiences and simply made a new game, since I believe that they've taken these concepts and ideas to far now, meaning there's no "turning back". I'm also looking forward to play XDefiant again, whenever it will be released :)
@@40splishsplash yup, the howa back then when I first started playing was the meta. It only did 90 damage that was the highest for a while. Then came others like ak15 Surefire mgx m4a1 Custom etc, but I was already almost 2 years in. For now ima talk about when I first came into warface. We also had Ak 12: 86 damage Cz 805 Bren: 87 Damage Edge rifle before the buff 86 damage F90 mbr: 86 Damage. Those weapons were able to compete with the howa they said the Ak12 was better than the howa but that was mostly just personal preference. And if you noticed the ak12 damage was not better than the howa, it still hit hard for some odd reason? it was a really easy gun to use compared to the howa. It had no recoil it was really accurate if you were good at aiming for the head then that gun was Op. back then headshots was the most important thing, if you didn’t land your bullets to your opponent head then your dead instantly. Now current weapons have body multipliers and since you can mod your weapons you can apply a body muiltiplier mod to increase its body damage even more. So aiming for the head is not that important anymore. Warface now you don’t need skill anymore just apply the right mods and your good to go. It’s sad. But any ways till this day i have no idea why ak12 was soo good. it was better than the cz bren, edge rifle, and f90. 3rd best in my opinion was the cz 805 Bren. I have a friend that been playing since it first came out 2018 he says from 2018-2019 warface was at it peak. It died down a little bit in 2020. I wasn’t there so I can’t speak much of it.

I been trying to get the Czechmate platinum skin for about 3 years now and still no luck. So far have only seen two people with the skin, one on reddit and the other on youtube. If I had known they were going to no longer allow you to buy in-game cash I would have stocked up on it years ago because the idea of grinding in game cash to try for something that only has a chance to drop out of every 10k boxes opened is unrealistic. I've opened so many my gold Czechmate is well beyond 999% damage so I never have to worry about repairing it. I've probably gotten about 35 gold czechs and 60 normal czechs yet still no plat skin lol
Well here i am playing this game after 2 years , my playtime is almost 10 thousand hours so you understood how much active player i was , well now i have to say something , yes u dnt have to pay if you play regular for a longtime you can get all p2w guns for free , did you checked PVE store ? they added it on pve section , so if u play so much pve u can buy guns from there by crowns , i already got BARETTA PMX dual golden smg from event too ,. Also now there is a event called HEAT , u can easily get op guns from there , now devs just wants players more active in game
This game definitely suffered because of its paytowin system.. sure it's a free game but being pay to win is no excuse at all.. if we are going to put the paytowin stuff aside the game suffers badly from unstable server connections, cheating, balancing, and like you said..lack of contets. both PVP and PVE maps has some game breaking bugs, and the reward or grind system in this game is unfair as well with the so called "Repair system" not helping at all which is a clear sign that the game is just made to cash grab players out of their time and wallets. this game had too many opportunities yet it got wasted away. saving this game is gonna be very diffucult since it already earned a bad reputation for gamers.
Thanks for your comment! You break it down really well, and unfortunately I also believe that it's hard and even to late to do a successful "makeover" when it comes to Warface. I think that they're better off to make a new game instead, a sequel that has the improvements needed in the game from the start to make it better and therefore also (hopefully) attractive for new players.
I might be wrong, but I believe you need to go through the vendor. The way to unlock stuff is by receiving Vendor Points (VP) in battles/missions. And too choose what item type you want to unlock next, select it under the lobby. I hope this is correct, since I haven't played in quite a while.
i have a bug were i can not use any weapon attechments no scopes no supressors. its beein for about 13 months this way and nothing happen what so ever. all weapon attechments are just gone deal with it.... this is total garbage

Have they done a terminator only map? (really sad when they nerfed those because lot of players disliked those) I loved that game until I only faced players with new characters (some more stealthy in the shadow), gold weapons, or that I paid more in repair with my nonpremium than I gained even with a victory... (despite not using the best armor I unlocked)

This was my first FPS game... I really miss the game... But my ping is too high... in 1v1 situation it's too painfull... that's used to balanced, weapons, armor, & ping but the more update it gets more worst it got... High end pc & lower ping players takes full advantage of the game... if those people have new or so called meta items they become ALIEN... if server problem solved still i will return in this game...
Warface has been renamed to Warface: Clutch because my games have diverged from the Russian standard Warface, but the updates remain the same as the classic Russian Warface, since the main developers of this game are from Russia, so Warface: Clutch only gets updates from the Russian version of Warface. I've been playing this game for 7 years and honestly if Warface had come back in 2014-2015 it would have been worth it but now it's past its prime and not really worth your attention and money because it's not a Free to Pay Game - PAY , TO WIN. But if you have consoles ps4/ps5/xbox it's worth it because the console version of warface is much better than the pc version. Another problem of Warface is MRAC anti-cheat system, which was also developed by Russians, it is not an anti-cheat system, it is a spying program for your software. Who doesn't know MRAC created mail ru and mail ru is known for a lot of spying and DDoS attacks. Therefore, I advise you to be careful with this game, because I have received a lot of DDoS attacks from Warface. But I basically only played in Russian Warface because there are usually 30,000-50,000 players there, and Warface: Clutch usually only has 2,000 players. It's no secret that Warface is mostly played in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia

Ive decided to reinstall and give it another go it’s been several years but I’m exhausted from cods SBMM or eomm or whatever it is I just hope they tone down pay to win. You can make really cool cosmetics that people will pay for without caring for their own health but the second it becomes pay to win that’s toxic and will be the death of the franchise. Also is there cross play so I can party with ps4/5 friends?

I talk about this in the video. The player base is definitely smaller than before, but I didn't have problems getting into matches, especially Pvp (I live in Europe).
To be honest, Nintendo is killing this game for consoles. Switch has so low system specs for this game, together with Nintendo blocking any further updates, its been more than year since Consoles received some new Pve Mission, also they are still waiting for Pve Rework and new spec ops Villa Valhalla that is already running on PC for aboud 6 months now. All thanks to Nintendo and Switch.

What happened to warface breakout? I played it on release but it died quite quick, had potential 😢 so warface is getting new content to "revive" the game almost? New ranked system, etc
Yeah, Warface: Breakout will shut Down on April 30 this year, I believe. They're putting time and money it seems, into Clutch now, trying to improve the game and by doing so, hopefully gain new players or getting veterans back into the game again.
Warface:Clutch is not a pay to win game, not anymore. You can unlock the best weapons for free only playing for at least 2 days. The graphics is not outdated, we are talking about Cryengine here, it is better then some games that are made even after 2020. It has mechanics that no other game has. The problem with Warface is how My.games manage the game. Very low qualified developers that don’t know how to optimize the game. The game with every update brings with it a lot of new bugs that developers don’t know then how to fix. This is ridiculous. They changed the mechanics of the game making very bad changes like increasing movement speed, introducing new weapons and armors with insane stats that make all classes independent from each other. In this state at this moment the game technically is a disaster full of bugs and bad optimization. And the worst thing is they have the worst servers I ever seen in a game. It insane how many issues they have with their trash servers: disconnections, lag and all of this kind of things.
Thanks for your feedback! Well, the graphics could be more up to date, since it isn't Cryengine 3 we're talking about, but for me that isn't a big thing or issue. The game is almost ten years old, so it's not strange that the visuals falls a bit behind. But sure, there's newer titles out there that doesn't look better, since they might run on a worse graphics engine compared to Cryengine. With that said, I believe the things you talk about when it comes to Mygames, servers, design choices and bad optimization are indeed the major problems when it comes to Warface.
I also have been playing this game on and off since the very beginning. I had a very good time but it's really a pay to win game, and it shows. The difference i huge at some point specially because the ranking system was not good

There's most likely not so much you can do about it, since TDM is what most people play nowadays when the player count is low. Maybe there are more people and game modes being played during peak hours, meaning late afternoons and evenings.
I believe is the currencies in Warface Clutch are called: Warface Dollars ($), Crowns (denoted by a crown symbol) and Kredits (K). You get Warface Dollars for playing Co-op / Special Ops and Versus games. Or maybe I missed something, since you're mentioning M coins?
They have to stop adding weapons with such bloated stats, keep them the same as other weapons and buff all old weapons. They need to rely on skins like valorant and have rarity tiers of those skins perhaps?
Warface changed name recently, and became Warface: Clutch! With that Blackwood Games also did some updates in the game that might be worth looking into, but the big question for today is if Warface is worth your time and money in 2024? Let me know your thoughts as well!

@@jdmyers7 Some "good"old games" that could be of your liking is fps games such as Ironsight, Black Squad, and maybe Dirty Bomb. Some of these games are of course old per say now, and have a smaller community than before. But they can still be fun playing. If you like third person shooters you might wanna check out Rogue Company as well. Just a few examples. I have a free to play fps playlist on my channel where I do play some of these titles and others as well :)

The problem at this point is not lack of content, pay to win. But it's actually not been able to play the game. Joined a special operations and got disconnected after 4 minutes in alongside the other people with me. So we can't even play. Not to mention the low number of players. Sad times.
I played this game for 6 years, I miss playing from 2016-2019, it was at the best moment for me to play, at my opinion and I have over 3000h and there I actually met really good friends and friends for life.

@@40splishsplash yeah, many emotions that people would never even believe it's possible to have and gain with playing game and meeting many people and gain few of those friends for life that you never thought it would happen because that's how you heard or learned from others untill you show them differently, game world is much, much bigger and awesome than what other people who are not into gaming doesn't understand and will never understand it until they give it a try, some of us just started with gaming early at young age and it became our therapy, our world, our passion, adrenaline when you win tournament or few important rounds with your teammates or friends, it is not just a game, it's whole amazing community with different people from different beautiful places.

@@Majsta98 ouuu yes, open cup weapons, I remember when muller sniper was in box for 60 credits and when you could get ac7 smg for while unlocking engineer things and r16a4 when it was for 100 000$ but wasn't auto, I think it was shooting like 2-3 bullets like downfield.

And people tend to wear different glasses(!) sometimes, when saying that a certain game is pay to win but another game isn't, even though the the games (as you described it), has more or less the same kind of monetization system. My only issues with warfare is the lack of servers (for me) with ping that isn’t 270+, the lack of varying maps, low player base and how it can be pay to win most of the time now.

I just returned to the game with my best 2 days ago , we last played warface almost 2 years ago , and we ere surprised how much they changed the menu and other stuff which i kinda dont like and also we were gifted a lot of good wepaons and armor probbably blackwoods atempt to make the game less pay to win (we are free to play gamers btw) which helped us a lot but there are still other op wepons and armors that make the game harder to play , not the mention that there are no new story missions and lore ...

This game was my first ever fps game when it released. Me and my father always used to play either against each other or with each other, indeed he always used to win and that gave me the drive to become better than everyone then rematch him. He passed away 3 years ago and my drives been gone ever since then. Yes i still play fps games i still aim train, but it doesnt feel the same anymore. The more i train the more i feel like im parting away from my own self. I still want to play warface just to remember all the memories but it just doesnt click anymore, thanks for this video by the way. Hope you have the great rest of your life happy new years.

I play warface for a long time already (3000+ hours). And I think that nowadays it is not that bad. If you define P2W like you did, you are right. But there are many ways to get any weapon for free - Battlepass and events (it needs a bit time I agree). But there is also PVE system, where you need to win 4 hard special ops per week 3 times and you can buy weapon without spending money. This means total play time for 2-3 hours a week for your desired weapon. Meaning there is no grind for weapons - it takes 12 hours total to be able to purchase the best weapon. The way I see p2w is: if there is something that can help you in game and cannot be obtained via f2p currencies, this item would be considered P2W. I don´t see anything like this in warface, everything is obtainable without credits. (When new weapon comes out, you can not get it without spending real money, but it is always in the next battlepass (about 2 months).
There are also possible modification to many weapons, which makes it possible to play multiple weapons with different styles (high-rpm small-dmg, small-RPM - high dmg). This makes even older weapon playable a competible with new meta weapons. This system is also absolutely free.
As for the armor, there were much worse times than now, for example titan era, warlord era, earth shaker helmet era etc... Now you can buy best armor set for ranked points which are very easy to obtain. Everybody is able to have the best armor. However I agree it is not ideal to keep adding stronger items to the game...
Game has some issues like server problems, packet loss, high ping players being able to play and other stuff. As for the hackers, I meet maybe 1 hacker a year, I dont know where people find so many hackers as they claim, I have strong suspision that usually the so claimed "hackers", are just skilled people.
I would probably say it is worth to atleast try (maybe even play). I have always been spending some small amount of money in warface. For the last year of playing there is no need to spend anything, unless you want cool skins and other cosmetics.

I enjoy to read these kind of comments since it adds some extra insight and info that is hard to get if you're only (like me), playing a game such as Warface now and then. And even though there's flaws in the game (which is the case in many games), I do enjoy coming back to play Warface once in a while, and I'm glad to see that the game is still up and running, doing ok at least. And as you say, I do hope that more people try out the game. It's an easy thing to do, especially since it's free to play, so it will only cost you the time invested to download and give it a go for a couple of hours :)
Statement made seems fair and accurate to me. Cheating was the main reason i stopped playing, even in PVE. people sprinting the maps with an LMG landing 95% headshots.
I really liked the game and would love to see it “re-mature” again.

I’ve been playing this on and off since the beta from over 10 years ago, I thought it did have some positives especially at release with the graphics looking good at the time compared to games like CoD ghosts and others on the older cod engine games. Now though I think MW19 has set the standard of what we expect in terms of graphics and animations going forward so it will be hard to bring people back to this aging game

It still has it's positive sides, but as I say in the video; I did enjoy the game more some years ago, mainly due to how the weapon balance was back then. Not perfect by all means, but the way it plays now in combination with strong armour..? Not sure that was a good idea :)

I played Warface about 10 years ago, and it was the last online game I ever played. The two major issues I had with it were the pay-to-win mechanics and the prevalence of cheaters. Back then, I was so frustrated by the cheating that I even began learning C programming with the intention of creating cheats myself (though I never followed through). Fast forward to today, and I'm now a software developer (C/C++).

I remember the old game let you play solo and Duo PVE without a full lobby. They removed that and required 4 people and I never played since.

We have a little team with friends. Everyday we play ranked and we can't understand what happening in the game. Every months become new weapons what is absolutly overpowered, but shotgun does not kill the enemies in one shot and snipers too.
6 years ago when i played the first time, your best assault weapon had 80 max 83 damage. Nowdays 95-110 just for exemple. All weapons have no recoil, this game is not about skill, is about internet and money.
When you have lags because of the internet and ping, you wont be able to kill the enemies. You are correct, you can be good without spending money for the game, but everybody have to understand, if players dont give money, they wont be upgrade the game. So i dont know what to do, really hard question, but this game is still good, maybe they need to promote the game better and yes change the main engine, because nowdays everybody has an atomreactor at home and they wont be play with a 10 years old game. Of course they will buy the new COD or something.
Thanks for your comment! I believe you're making some good sayings about how Warface feels and plays today compared to how it used to be quite a few years ago. It is hard, since the game devs have to make money somehow, and monetization is very common in games nowadays. I just wished they would have chosen another way already back when they set up the store in the game. And as you say, since the game feels a bit outdated, at least when it comes to graphics, comparing it with more modern titles, then it's also hard to bring new players into the game. It's a bit of a shame, since the actual gameplay (especially how it was some years ago), has been the thing for me, or the reason why I cam e back to the game over and over again :)
Its obvious for every players out there that wanted to showcase theyre skills ... There no surprise that a game with all about money and not skill unworthy of time.. give up to this game and switch to other games that more worthy and environment friendly for those wanted to be pro's by showcasing skill based gaming not money based gaming coz you cant win to those bot moves but had a very pack-a-punch weapons and operators.. imagine yourself using a sniper or a shotgun but enemy killed you with a pistol with some kind of out of this worlds upgrade..
Plus.. you dont have to use money on a game if not necessary too coz your 1 of a million players who play the game and with that 90% of players around the globe are spender and 5% of players are skill showcase while the remaining 5% left the game and find another worthy game.. a money based game is like theres many cheaters inside playing and its legal compared to other games that you can show everything you've got with spending a little money just to buy battlepass makes you unique not above the others... Players wanted balanced game not a game that makes you stressed more when you are already stressed plus the 90% of players who spends in the game were making the developers rich already and the rest of 5-10% already has a big part of the game also..

I remember going in Warface back in 2019 and it was a nightmare but now it feels like a new game and i'm happy about it. I wish that PvE got an update/lore/mission changes.

@@ckingch Ok maybe I exaggerated. P2W is still there but free players can get strong weapons/equipment way easier than before it's not even close, but about the rest? Once you feel the horrendous servers you realize it's not that far away from the original thing.
@@ckingch If you want to give it a try, go with your expectatives low because idk if the PC version suffers more from the P2W issue since there are no contracts or the same loot boxes so i can't tell if they have their own method. Ranked is boring because of the repetitiveness (every game feels like a Counter Strike 1.1 match) and graphics never had a noticable change. Oh forgot to mention again that PvE while it is very fun, it has been over a whole year since console got the last Spec Op not counting Interlude since it feels too short to be a spec op.

@@ckingch I meant to say in* not *if but I suggest You try the console version first. Keep in mind you will need to grind byt just go to Operation Blackwood a few times and you are good to go. It's like Cayo Perico from GTA 5
I don't know about anyone else but this game feels just right for me at the moment. I used to play Call of Duty daily, however I fell off because I couldn't justify wasting the space on my console and with every year Call of Duty takes up more and more storage. I now haven't played since the Modern Warfare 2019 and I've been wanting to hop back in. Call of Duty is a very chill and relaxing game for me at times, as funny as that may sound. It's perfect for throwing on some music and getting locked in to. However once again the storage requirements are just too extreme for me. That's where Warface comes in perfect because it's only 10 gb on PS4/PS5. Plus I absolutely love playing Medic. I can never seem to revive anybody because they end up spawning back in too quickly but it's really fun for me running around the map and healing everybody as they are getting shot at.

@@Samsubduer Yes...Sure, they have done changes so that you can unlock more or less(!) the same stuff that you can buy, just by playing the game. But, if there's a "shortcut" by paying real money to get better gear faster, than quite a few players will do that.

as a veteran, Warface 2016 was the game's prime. And at that time, it was a better FPS than other titles like Battlefield, COD, Halo, best gameplay for sure, lack of creativity and P2W factore surely killed the game. Best gaming experience i ever had tho.
Yes, I agree with you. 2016 and 2017, was probably the years when I played the game the most. I enjoyed sniping quite some in Warface.

That is literally a horseshit statement. I’d rather spend the $70 needed to play MWIII and have everything I need than play this game for “free” but then spend over 5 times that amount on a lootbox system that has godly weapons.

Playing on Switch which had its own niche community and it was really balanced before they brought in crossplay updates. Ever since the games felt so choppy no matter if we turn on/off crossplay.

I think everything that was said in the video is right and I dont want a downfall for warface because as a switch player I dont have realistic fps shooter that are free and so warface needs something big or like Splish said a sequel.

Was such a banger between the 2015/late 2018 period. Lots of players at their prime like domzkilla and fade making you enjoy the game like crazy. Now every fps war games are dying or dead anyways with this new generation coming up
Yes, I agree. Those years were the peak of Warface, in many ways. Since a few years back, there's a strong hero shooter or/and extraction shooter trend going on, which makes it harder for "normal" respawn and boots on the ground shooters to compete.

This was one of my favorite games to play I tried it again and it’s not what it used to be at all everything feels different the game was so fun to a point where I was spending money on it something I never do I thought I check up on the content of people playing it to see how it’s doing and that’s how I ended up here I played the game around early 21-22 and took a break and tried it in mid of 23 and you can feel how different it is sad because I really liked it I remember being rank 1 grinding to get to double gold bar ranks and that’s were I stopped in rankings

this game was my main game in my early teens. mainly playing COOP missions with my friends online. beating bosses and really hard maps. it was absolutely amazing. though I remember the game looking better than in the video... do you have the graphics on max settings? or maybe because it is so old xD anyway.. this game was fun because of the COOP for me. the PVP wasn't fun and many times you would have hackers or in my case I used to have an older laptop and I couldn't even run the game smoothly at 720p xD
Thanks for sharing your Warface memories! No, I'm not playing on max settings when it comes to graphics, since I mainly play Pvp and want good fps. You also need to watch the video in the 1440p setting on RUclips even though it's recorded in 1080p, since the 720p and 1080p codex sucks on RUclips.
man i remember playing this when i was 11, it was the only "advanced" shooter that my laptop could handle and i still believe that old warface is better than any Call of Duty game and games of that sort (dont play much of those anymore) but looking at this now its sad seeing this game going P2W and the graphics and gameplay looking like Krunker and with so little maps i would literally rather playing a mobile shooter on an emulator. Man things really did look way better as a kid

I still think that Warface is a pretty cool free to play fps, but time is catching up and it hasn't really improved much recent years and not so much new content either.
Real veteran here. I played warface in the browser (Gface) there were a lot of cheaters but the game was ok (looking at you Pepsi and Made in China). I spent thousands of hours with my friends, real friends that i appreciate a lot. And it is sad to see Warface in that state and it was all thanks to mycom, that was the last nail in the coffin. Short answer: don't even try to play that game again, let it die.

I don't think people really understand what an aged vine really means. Unless you have two or more bottles of the same vine, same year, then how would you know if it's better with age? Anyway, I just think it's a dumb comparison. The game it self looks interesting, I tried it many years ago, but I gave up on it pretty quickly.
Nah, not a dumb comparison but more likely a bit far fetched :) I knew that the comparison between a good aged wine (not all wine brands/grapes gets better with time), and a good old game, would be a bit to hard to get. But the bottom line is simply that some older games stands the test of time better than others, and coming back once more to Warface made me realize that. Cheers!

As far as your definition of pay to win goes it's not totally complete. Pay to win is defined as " a player has the option to spend money to gain an advantage over other players who are not able to obtain the same advantage without spending money" Buying faster progress is not absolute pay to win and in that sense most people are ok with it. Nice that you're getting into Warface, I hope you'll have a good time playing. Well, the "pay to progress" or whatever you wanna call it, is still a kind of pay to win situation, if it's a shortcut to better gear. And no, most people are not okay with that, since it gives you an advantage over a player that aren't willing to spend money playing the same game (f2p game). It's been a subject of discussion for a long time when it comes to many games out there. Fortunately most modern games nowadays have monetization models that only includes customization options when it comes to skins and characters and not actual weapons behind a pay wall. Cheers :)

It is indeed an old game in many ways. I believe there's still more people playing Warface in Russia, compared to Western servers.
Played Warface since the beginning too, but the game didn't changed one millimeter from back then. The developers try to make small changes to the game but we need a full refont of the graphics the modes pve or pvp the maps and everything. I noticed way more lags and network errors/disconnections in comparison with back in the days too, major problem and in particular for new players that discover the game. All that without mentioning the p2w, the cheaters and the lack of players in particular in PVE.
Good thoughts and feedback! Yes, I believe a more substantial "overhaul" of the game would get players back into the game.
It’s funny that this video just showed up on my feed right after I redownloaded warface yesterday, after not playing for 2yrs straight. Even though the game is nothing to brag about, it’s got a lil soft spot in my heart because it was the only game that held me down for some years when I had a shitty pc 😂😂

The last time I played I noticed that br mode is pretty much dead and one of the biggest issues I had was the degrade system. Warface is basically just cryengine combat arms. If they went the route blacklight went then it would at least be semi servicable but it's pay to win and continue to pay for upkeep.

Depends on what you like as well, but maybe check out the new CS2 if you like more competitive shooters (also free). What you experienced when it comes to sniping is something that has changed through the years, among other things. The snipers were more of a one shot kill before. When it comes to weapon "meta" in Warface, I don't really have a clue, since I don't play the game that often any more. I hope someone can help you with that one.
I still currently play warface my only problem is progression and overall way you earn weapons especially in pvp like cmon a 0.2% chance to get a gun not even the one i want

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't understand why the game doesn't work at all. I installed it again yesterday and tried to get into a match, but nothing was happening. The Amsterdam server was seemingly closed and the only one available was from china. I'm from Europe.
I really wanted to give the game a chance, but they make it so difficult. They have a separate launcher, it's confusing...
I also took a look at the player count and it seems that the game is slowly dying. It's a pitty.

This is a community game and like all community games it should be concreted in. Phantasy star online for gamecube still has a online server that people can play online together because the community supports the creator for doing so. Hope I shed some light on the subject of old games

It is still up and running thanks to community servers, since there aren't any official support any longer. Discovered warface during pandemic. Loved the simplicity and the variety of gun types.
Also many games in its class like WWZ or COD gives me motion sickness but warface doesn't. Love that the killing and dying of players is dramatic and funny and not too realistic making it fun to play with kids too.

I recently came back and while I do love the new default gear, I hate that co-op is still filled with people who do nothing but either go AFK or grief by team killing in hard missions. Can't even do with Spec Ops missions because ai truly feel like the only competent player in the lobby. Makes grinding for anything, especially cash a bore to do. Maybe some single player missions that anyone can do for cash and other goodies as well as the feature to view available lobbies and the players info (especially their level) would definitely be something I'd love to see. That and I feel like contracts were better the last time I played, which was during the Asgard season. Weren't there plenty of free contracts to do for resources and customization options? Now the only free contract I see is for parts. Not bad but ranking up weapons seem to take a pretty long time so it's not like I'm gonna have plenty of use for them.

No, Warface does not have a campaign per say, but it does have Pve missions.
If you only play tdm or ffa I can understand why you switch to other games. Because the game dynamic doesn't come out as well as in ranked (tdm). The team play is what makes it better than other games like CS:GO or Valorant. If your team plays well enough together you can even sometimes win against hacker. A round is never lost until the last second because anything can still happen. The core gameplay is what keeps the game alive. After Mycom bought the game everything went to hell. They don't know what the strengths of their game were.
Every addition destroys the basic gameplay.
1. Armor that you can only wear in the set.
2. Armor that can withstand too much.
3. Weapons that do too much damage.
4. Movement speed which destroys the map flow.
5. Weapons that make certain classes more independent from each other.
6. The neglect of the clan system after ranking was introduced.
7. ...
There are also game changes that just make the game worse.
1. Body skins that increase your stamina (up to 80%)
2. Snipers no longer kill enemies with one shot. With the exception of the newest weapons in the shop.
3. Weapons are bad before you fully level them up. 4. The new weapons do twice as much damage as the old ones. (from 75-80 to 130-150)
5. When it comes to armor, you can only play the newest ones. (old 125armor - new 350armor)
6. Molotov and gas grenades make normal tdm unplayable.
7. PVE bots simply become bullet sponges in harder missions. You now have no chance even in PVE if you don't put money into it.

According to Steam I have 8000+ hours in the game and according to the game I have 3700 hours(since 2014). I hate the game but there is no alternative for me. I've played many games but nothing comes close to this. (Cod, CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow6, Ghost recon, Arma3, Insurgency, Battlefield, Battlebits,DirtyBomb, Ironsight, Black Squat,Paladins,PlanetSide2,Rust,S.K.I.L.L.)
Thanks for your in depth comment and feedback, when it comes to pointing out things that have made the game worse over time. And most likely, you're better off today to play ranked in Warface. Playing with a team and towards an objective makes sense, something I usually prefer as well. I also agree with what you wrote initially, that Warface was overall better before Mycom bought the game. But even so, the core gameplay is indeed what keeps the game going still :)

i liked Warface back in 2015 when for good weapons you need to play alot of The HQ tower,or alot of PVP. If they would add just some cool skins for guns and let the guns / gameplay like it was, this game would kick out some new era shooters. But they prefer to make it p2win. Would be also nice if they would add a battle royal mode.

It unfortunate that they decided to go with the p2w model, otherwise it could have been an even more attractive game still in 2024. Sure, they're trying to balance that some now, but the monetization set up and model has been more or less p2w over time.

I’m a veteran in warface playing it since 2020. It used to be way more fun back then. More people were playing so less time queuing. Now it takes long to find a match game is dead. Back then we didn’t really have a connection problem now it’s just ridiculous. What I don’t understand is why are players with 1-2 bars able to play? They play like aren’t lagging. When Im in a gun fight with them they make me lag even tho I have really good connection. I get no bullet registration no aim assist I get f Over, I will never understand that? Back then we’re No mods either. Back then No map rotation cause Right now there’s a map rotation going on and we can only play a certain amount maps.
Maps they took out were motel, d18, shuttle, AUL, Crossing, tunnel. Back then Guns didn’t do over 100 damage. Armor wasn’t broken. Don’t get me wrong there was a meta and still is but the meta weapons back then weren’t broken like todays meta weapons.
You can use underdog weapons and still do good. If you were good enough you can beat players with meta weapons back in those days. Now you can’t. We still face the same problems from back then today. Netcode is still garbage. Hit reg is still trash. And what really killed the game for me is when they implemented mods in warface.
I was hoping the mods were only for trash weapons but it was also for some meta weapons too. That was also the same day they added a new meta AR and that gun does 99 damage. That gun blew away every damn weapon in the game. Cause the highest damage weapon back then was the Galil Ace gen 2 and it does 94 damage and we couldn’t mod it. So SA took over until they added more broken modable weapons.
These mods were just another money grab system. Now the current meta is the stk it does 110 damage with out mods rpm is 855 with mods is 923. I’m just sick and tired with all of this mod crap. I’m just waiting for xdefiant to come out and I can finally stop playing this dog 💩 game.

I recognise what you're describing when it comes to how balance and performance felt a few years ago compared to now. And it's a pity, because Warface was better before. Again, you describe the situation well and also made some good examples when it comes to stats (gun damage). I wish they took their experiences and simply made a new game, since I believe that they've taken these concepts and ideas to far now, meaning there's no "turning back". I'm also looking forward to play XDefiant again, whenever it will be released :)
@@40splishsplash yup, the howa back then when I first started playing was the meta. It only did 90 damage that was the highest for a while. Then came others like ak15 Surefire mgx m4a1 Custom etc, but I was already almost 2 years in. For now ima talk about when I first came into warface. We also had
Ak 12: 86 damage
Cz 805 Bren: 87 Damage
Edge rifle before the buff 86 damage
F90 mbr: 86 Damage.
Those weapons were able to compete with the howa they said the Ak12 was better than the howa but that was mostly just personal preference. And if you noticed the ak12 damage was not better than the howa, it still hit hard for some odd reason? it was a really easy gun to use compared to the howa. It had no recoil it was really accurate if you were good at aiming for the head then that gun was Op. back then headshots was the most important thing, if you didn’t land your bullets to your opponent head then your dead instantly. Now current weapons have body multipliers and since you can mod your weapons you can apply a body muiltiplier mod to increase its body damage even more. So aiming for the head is not that important anymore. Warface now you don’t need skill anymore just apply the right mods and your good to go. It’s sad. But any ways till this day i have no idea why ak12 was soo good. it was better than the cz bren, edge rifle, and f90. 3rd best in my opinion was the cz 805 Bren. I have a friend that been playing since it first came out 2018 he says from 2018-2019 warface was at it peak. It died down a little bit in 2020. I wasn’t there so I can’t speak much of it.

Some interesting comparisons there...Since I've played the game from the very start (on and off), I can say that your friend is right; Warface had it's peak around 2018-2019, and that is for many reasons, not only because more people were playing the game.

I been trying to get the Czechmate platinum skin for about 3 years now and still no luck. So far have only seen two people with the skin, one on reddit and the other on youtube. If I had known they were going to no longer allow you to buy in-game cash I would have stocked up on it years ago because the idea of grinding in game cash to try for something that only has a chance to drop out of every 10k boxes opened is unrealistic. I've opened so many my gold Czechmate is well beyond 999% damage so I never have to worry about repairing it. I've probably gotten about 35 gold czechs and 60 normal czechs yet still no plat skin lol

Well here i am playing this game after 2 years , my playtime is almost 10 thousand hours so you understood how much active player i was , well now i have to say something , yes u dnt have to pay if you play regular for a longtime you can get all p2w guns for free , did you checked PVE store ? they added it on pve section , so if u play so much pve u can buy guns from there by crowns , i already got BARETTA PMX dual golden smg from event too ,. Also now there is a event called HEAT , u can easily get op guns from there , now devs just wants players more active in game

This game definitely suffered because of its paytowin system.. sure it's a free game but being pay to win is no excuse at all..

the game suffers badly from unstable server connections, cheating, balancing, and like you said..lack of contets. both PVP and PVE maps has some game breaking bugs, and the reward or grind system in this game is unfair as well with the so called "Repair system" not helping at all which is a clear sign that the game is just made to cash grab players out of their time and wallets.
this game had too many opportunities yet it got wasted away.
saving this game is gonna be very diffucult since it already earned a bad reputation for gamers.
Thanks for your comment! You break it down really well, and unfortunately I also believe that it's hard and even to late to do a successful "makeover" when it comes to Warface. I think that they're better off to make a new game instead, a sequel that has the improvements needed in the game from the start to make it better and therefore also (hopefully) attractive for new players.
How do I unlock weapons armor and attachments on PC? This new update has taken it out
I might be wrong, but I believe you need to go through the vendor. The way to unlock stuff is by receiving Vendor Points (VP) in battles/missions. And too choose what item type you want to unlock next, select it under the lobby. I hope this is correct, since I haven't played in quite a while.
Is it cross-platform?
Not across the board, as far as I know. Means that players on Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo can all play together.
this game has only one major problem. not the microtransactions but the lack of servers outside of NA and EU

i have a bug were i can not use any weapon attechments no scopes no supressors. its beein for about 13 months this way and nothing happen what so ever. all weapon attechments are just gone deal with it.... this is total garbage

Have they done a terminator only map? (really sad when they nerfed those because lot of players disliked those)
I loved that game until I only faced players with new characters (some more stealthy in the shadow), gold weapons, or that I paid more in repair with my nonpremium than I gained even with a victory... (despite not using the best armor I unlocked)

If what you’re talking about are the SEDs no they were never nerfed they’re just outclassed by current weapons but it’s still a good class for pve

I really miss the game...
But my ping is too high... in 1v1 situation it's too painfull... that's used to balanced, weapons, armor, & ping but the more update it gets more worst it got...
High end pc & lower ping players takes full advantage of the game... if those people have new or so called meta items they become ALIEN...
if server problem solved still i will return in this game...

Warface has been renamed to Warface: Clutch because my games have diverged from the Russian standard Warface, but the updates remain the same as the classic Russian Warface, since the main developers of this game are from Russia, so Warface: Clutch only gets updates from the Russian version of Warface. I've been playing this game for 7 years and honestly if Warface had come back in 2014-2015 it would have been worth it but now it's past its prime and not really worth your attention and money because it's not a Free to Pay Game - PAY , TO WIN. But if you have consoles ps4/ps5/xbox it's worth it because the console version of warface is much better than the pc version. Another problem of Warface is MRAC anti-cheat system, which was also developed by Russians, it is not an anti-cheat system, it is a spying program for your software. Who doesn't know MRAC created mail ru and mail ru is known for a lot of spying and DDoS attacks. Therefore, I advise you to be careful with this game, because I have received a lot of DDoS attacks from Warface. But I basically only played in Russian Warface because there are usually 30,000-50,000 players there, and Warface: Clutch usually only has 2,000 players. It's no secret that Warface is mostly played in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia

Ive decided to reinstall and give it another go it’s been several years but I’m exhausted from cods SBMM or eomm or whatever it is I just hope they tone down pay to win. You can make really cool cosmetics that people will pay for without caring for their own health but the second it becomes pay to win that’s toxic and will be the death of the franchise. Also is there cross play so I can party with ps4/5 friends?

I talk about this in the video. The player base is definitely smaller than before, but I didn't have problems getting into matches, especially Pvp (I live in Europe).
Tbh, the only thing stopping me from enjoying it is the armor repairing.

I can understand that. I've seen quite a few comments from players that are playing Warface on Switch.
To be honest, Nintendo is killing this game for consoles. Switch has so low system specs for this game, together with Nintendo blocking any further updates, its been more than year since Consoles received some new Pve Mission, also they are still waiting for Pve Rework and new spec ops Villa Valhalla that is already running on PC for aboud 6 months now. All thanks to Nintendo and Switch.

What happened to warface breakout? I played it on release but it died quite quick, had potential 😢 so warface is getting new content to "revive" the game almost? New ranked system, etc
Yeah, Warface: Breakout will shut Down on April 30 this year, I believe. They're putting time and money it seems, into Clutch now, trying to improve the game and by doing so, hopefully gain new players or getting veterans back into the game again.

Warface:Clutch is not a pay to win game, not anymore. You can unlock the best weapons for free only playing for at least 2 days. The graphics is not outdated, we are talking about Cryengine here, it is better then some games that are made even after 2020. It has mechanics that no other game has. The problem with Warface is how My.games manage the game. Very low qualified developers that don’t know how to optimize the game. The game with every update brings with it a lot of new bugs that developers don’t know then how to fix. This is ridiculous. They changed the mechanics of the game making very bad changes like increasing movement speed, introducing new weapons and armors with insane stats that make all classes independent from each other. In this state at this moment the game technically is a disaster full of bugs and bad optimization. And the worst thing is they have the worst servers I ever seen in a game. It insane how many issues they have with their trash servers: disconnections, lag and all of this kind of things.
Thanks for your feedback! Well, the graphics could be more up to date, since it isn't Cryengine 3 we're talking about, but for me that isn't a big thing or issue. The game is almost ten years old, so it's not strange that the visuals falls a bit behind. But sure, there's newer titles out there that doesn't look better, since they might run on a worse graphics engine compared to Cryengine. With that said, I believe the things you talk about when it comes to Mygames, servers, design choices and bad optimization are indeed the major problems when it comes to Warface.
I also have been playing this game on and off since the very beginning. I had a very good time but it's really a pay to win game, and it shows. The difference i huge at some point specially because the ranking system was not good

There's most likely not so much you can do about it, since TDM is what most people play nowadays when the player count is low. Maybe there are more people and game modes being played during peak hours, meaning late afternoons and evenings.
I got a question, how to get M coins?
I believe is the currencies in Warface Clutch are called: Warface Dollars ($), Crowns (denoted by a crown symbol) and Kredits (K). You get Warface Dollars for playing Co-op / Special Ops and Versus games. Or maybe I missed something, since you're mentioning M coins?
They have to stop adding weapons with such bloated stats, keep them the same as other weapons and buff all old weapons. They need to rely on skins like valorant and have rarity tiers of those skins perhaps?
