I love your mame trees. I've found they are harder to take care of than bigger trees. As I get older I'm leaning more in that direction. Cheers from Ojai California. Great video
Hej Morten.
hmm land moss just confused me , what i notice outdoors if they are not water, they go dormant , yet i put land moss in the terrarium it dried up and turn brown and died off instead , which humidity is high
I don't feel you did a very good job of discussing moss. I'm a student of Ryan Neil and as he teaches it : 1) If water is not percolating (your first reason to not use moss) you need to find out why and correct it. After you have corrected it, then apply your starter layer for moss. 2) As his teacher in Japan taught him he teaches us. Moss provides an area for the finer feeder roots to grow. As such you should apply moss to all trees. Why plant a tree in a pot and then not use 1/3 of the pot? Moss allows the use of that 1/3 addition area of the pot. 3) Moss also provide the first defense for the tree by acting as a filter for the water we use. Especially if use tap water.
Amazing Mr
Super video, thanks for sharing your mossy knowledge!
Ahhhhh a lovely zen moment. 🙏❤️
Beautiful garden Morten! ✌
Very well explained! Thanks a lot for the great video!
THX Morten!!
Can you make a video of making a mame bonsai or shohin bonsai? Can you make a lot of them? I really like watching your videos.
There are a lot of videos with that for members at my online school. www.kisetsuen.com

Det er rigtigt. Jeg tror problemet er at finde nogen med en god nok stamme, og så er den bare ikke så spændende som større plante og overses.

If it is constantly wet without airflow it rots or dies of fungus.
👍👌👌👌🍎
Can I ask what tress are in the forest grouping on your right at 1:35 please Morten?
I guess at my right and left in the picture. It is a group of Acer palmatum, Japanese maple.
Wow, that was quick. Thank you for the help, really appreciated.
