In this DayZ Server Modding beginners guide tutorial, I show you a couple of methods for spawning in cars or trucks at custom coordinate locations of your choice on your DayZ Community Xbox, PlayStation or PC Server.
We'll be editing your events.xml and cfgeventspawns.xml files, and i'll also be explaining what these files do, how they work, and I'll also be looking at cfgspawnabletypes.xml .

I have use this and it works great thank you very much. I have not been able to make the vehicle respawn after destruction of first one spawned. What have I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated thank you for your time.

For those struggling. You should REALLY pause, rewind, and relisten. Do exactly as he does, don't fuck up your copy and paste, pause and look at his numbers for the event, change your numbers to that event number, make sure you have the exact name setup on both lines.
I want to know what exactly is the saferadius and distanceradius mean, i put mine really low and they wont spawn in now

Rob shouldn't the child line in the vanilla file be child and not mixed? As the child closes a random and a mixed choses from top to bottom until max is reached? And also shouldn't the children lines be a min and max of 1 because isn't that supposed to be how many spawn at a single location?

hey i can get the truck to spawn and even a sedan but for some reason I cant get offroad_02 to spawn? Any reasons?
Having an issue of vehicles spawning at edge of map. no matter what vehicle/coords I choose it just spawns on the edge of the map (melkart) any ideas? (validated xmls, checked spelling, rewatched video 3 times)
What if the modded vehicle i downloaded doesnt have an xml file...mod specific is jeep wngler, had only keys

Tried this following to the letter but for the life of me can't get the truck to spawn where I want. I got the stamina mod done and the ak and Dmr player loadouts but damn it I can't get myself any full trucks /chosen location to spawn vehicles in my game
do you have to use a text editor or can you just change them in the file browser on nitrado?
So i spawned a vehicle in order to easily get around to people who are having trouble with/in my server on xbox. If i get into the car then delete the code for the custom event, my car will stay, right?
When uploading a file thats modified, does it need to have the same name as the original and or the original file deleted from Nitrado? Last time I couldn't figure this out, somehow, I deleted everyone's vehicles. Thank you,

can i play offline and spawn with some mod helicopters and that type of things? i want to test helis on offline but i dont know how.. i already have DayZCommunityOffline, or ill need to find them when i start the offline? i dont know how this works exactly-

Thanks a lot for all the videos, not only this one. You are really helpfull. I am trying to do heli spawn points in Chernarusplus but, though the event is loading, it is placing all the helicopeters (6) in open ocean at the end of the grid.
I used the IZurvive to pick the locations and to use the x,Z positions. I tried so many differnt locations and they keep doing that. Can you give me an idea what I am doing incorrectly? Thanks

Hiiiii, so i figured this out with your help, but it isn't spawning with tires and such.. am i supposed to make it's own file for the offroadhatchbackcustom to get the tires to spawn? because it should spawn in ready... I checked my code but maybe
i didn't add something in spawnabletypes? I chose the white one and it spawned in which is hella progress, even without attachments..so i'm excited about that. but Please if you see this i still need help figuring out the tires and doors, ect. !! i have been all over DayZ discords trying to get help so if you could give me a few more tips that are 1.22 recent that would be wonderful and i'm on xbox if it's relevant :) Please respond, i want to make this server awesome and I already have gotten so far with your tutorials :)

How can you make one spawn point for a car but have it spawn another car when you move the current one
You cant easily
You can easier make a near by location if the first event is fresh/untouched then set the second event to false unless the event is interacted with

Fog or contaminated zone? Don’t quote me because I could be wrong, but I believe fog is a server wide weather change, not specific to an area. You can however place a custom contaminated zone
I tried this and it failed it wiped every vehicle on my server. Had to replace a lot of vehicles for players in my server.
Same here, but I can't get anything to load in.
@@IcemanJohnsonmight have to do a server wipe to reset files that's if you have all your files backed up. On my server I do worry about custom car spawn's just that they come in full on the cars we want to come in full and the rest where all you have to do is get the gas and water bottles out of the trunk and fill it up. Me and my wife made our server more like official servers where there's not many mods cuz of lag plus so we didn't have to have rules. But everything is pristine only real mods we do is mod base if you donate to our server it's a gift. If you don't donate you can build your base out of materials on the map.

Hello Mr ScaleSpeeder, I’ve appreciated your videos, I’ve been setting up my server all week. Unfortunately I tried testing this vehicle spawn today and nothing spawned. Any ideas on how to check what’s wrong? I’m confident the coding is correct, I think it has something to do with loading to Nitrado because I keep receiving notes from Nitrado when uploading the files about a custom folder. I set up a custom folder but still I’m not seeing the vehicle spawning in, any ideas how to make it work correctly?Thanks so much, love your videos, very informative!
To ad to my comment, the note from Nitrado after every file upload I’ve ever made says “When adding your own configuration files for DayZ, please place them into the subfolder named “custom” within the respective mission folder. Files added in other places will be ignored.” I’ve been saving every file twice each, once in this custom folder as well as in the original folder and I’m not seeing any changes.
Also, does this work if you don’t do the reinstall? People on my server don’t want to lose all their progress.

Need to go on spawnable types find the plate carriers and change the percentage where it says attachments to 1.00

Hey, I have a problem I can’t seem to find a solution to. I have a modded server for just me and my friends with modded vehicles. I set everything up proper in the types files, spawnable types, etc, but some of the vehicles vanish after I leave the area around them work in minutes. Was wondering if there is a solution or a way to prevent the world from cleaning up cars as such.
I believe speeder has a video about extending the time for vehicles purchased at trader that should fix you issue as well.
Does it happen after you move them from the spawn to where you’d like them?
you need to make sure the event only ends if the car is destroyed
then increase the maps possible spawns to 99, but limit it to a smaller number like 10 or 50.
allowing 49-99 customs to be spawned
custom events normally end by player distance or time. if time is the only factor then you need to make the time limit insane and respawn it when needed

You can’t. Go in and change the values of the min, max, and nominal of your types.xml within your db file.

@@flussmonster_1386 how much are you adding in? Like 100s added to the min/max/nominal? And literally nothing is spawning or is it just like official? Sometimes it take a while to kick in also, if you want quick results, reinstall your server but right after you do that go to your general settings and keep refreshing until you see the “reset xml files to default” box checked, immediately uncheck it and save the settings. This will reinstall your server without resetting your xml edits
Ok I have nails nominal 100 max 90 min 75 and the original s. I can reset the xml and just try resetting it again
@@flussmonster_1386 I would set your nominal to a value in between the min and max. Not over. Also, you can even add a bit more nails to it probably like 10 or 20 more see if they start spawning in.
So how do I do this on the Xbox?
i did everything you said and all the vehicles are gone in the whole game.
Hi i just gave a waterpump + plankpile spawns to my server guests and noticed w/ this way of spawn'n in items tha they disappear when any kind of vehicle is park'd to close, after i tell my guests this i also add they should build a wall arround the spawn'd objects so other players cant park to close
You’re better off to place them in as a json file. Sometimes when Events/event items are too close they have problems with each other
