ARMA Reforger How To Use The Workshop and Install Mods

- This video explains how to use the workshop and install mods in Arma Reforger
Hello and welcome back to another ARMA Reforger tutorial video.
In this video I'm going to explain to you how to use the workshop and mod manager.
Once you've loaded the game, click the large workshop button in the bottom left.
By default it will show you all workshop items, sorted by popularity, with the most popular mod first.
Lets look at the first mod for example, which looks to add the M4 and MK18 with attachments into the game.
To download it, simply click the mod and a download icon will appear, click it again. You'll then be prompted if you want to confirm the download. At this point, if there are dependencies (Other mods which are needed to make this mod work) you will be prompted to download them too. If there are no dependencies, it will just download the mod.
By default, newly downloaded mods are automatically enabled. But we can double check that
Once complete, head over to the mod manager at the top, if they've been automatically enabled, your mod will appear under the enabled column.
If not, you can highlight the mod under the Disabled column, and press the right arrow and your mod will now be enabled.
If you want to delete a mod, highlight it and press the bin, this will ask you if you want to delete the mod.
Lets now go back to the main menu screen, if your mod is enabled, you'll see a number next to the jigsaw puzzle piece in the top right hand corner. You can use this to create a preset of your favourite collection of mods and export the modlist in a JSON format. This is mainly used when setting up servers to specify which mods to run on the server.
On a side note, if you join a server which has mods enabled (jigsaw piece in the server listing), you'll be prompted to download the required mods when joining.
So with our mods downloaded and enabled lets test them in Game Master. Spawn in a character and weapons crate and we can see that we now have more weapons with attachments available to use.

Hello, in my game I downloaded and activated the mods, but for me that chain-shaped icon doesn't appear in the top corner of the screen next to the puzzle piece and nothing appears on the inventory screen. What could it be?
The guns showed up but I can’t pick them out of the crate there grayed out help!!
My problems the fact that when I start gamemaster it boots me back to main menu and says cannot start with selected mods (which is all the installed mods)

One of ur mods conflicts with the other
So disable every mod and enable 3. Start game master and see if they work. Then go out add 3 more and repeat. Better death animations is what was my problem
I get a eye with a lightning bolt in the middle and nothing happens, and only 2 mid is enabled, can I use them offline with no internet in game master?
man im used to the steam workshop so adjusting to this will be kinda not easy
It's a bit buggy but you get used to it, not as easy as steam imo

While I was playing Arma Reporger, there was a bug where two of the same mods were installed at the same time... I tried to delete it, but it didn't work... How can I fix this? The name of the mode is ‘vergy custom cloths’. Since two of these are installed, a conflict occurs when entering another server. Is there a way?
If you disable all mods, when you join a server the required ones are enabled
What’s crazy is if you don’t deactivate certain things you won’t be able to play the base game. So I tried playing originz but when it loaded up I was in a body of water and couldn’t move or do anything perhaps I’m choosing the wrong mod…
Mod mismatching can cause a nightmare
The thing is that I don't want any of the mods downloading into my windows folder but I want them to download into the game folder so it doesn't take up space in my windows drive. How to you change where they download?
You'll have to change where you install the game. Uninstall it, reinstall it and the first option you get is where do you want to install. pick another drive and select create new steam library.
@@slughead my game is installed on my M drive and my windows is on my C drive but the mods go to the documents folder on my C drive but not on the M drive so i have no clue how to change that.
Hey, I have bot been able to play with mods as it keeps saying “failing to launch with the following mods” and gives me a list of any mod I have enabled, I have deleted the Mods folder and redownloaded the mods and reinstalled the game yet this keeps happening, can’t find anything on the inter to help, anyone knows what I can do?
Have you tried verifying through steam?

Hello, why I can't find some mods ? When I search for certain mods on Google, I can access the mods page, but when I search with the mod's name in the ingame workshop menu, it says there is no mod. But I can access the mod page using Google, wth
No mod then, not much else to say, I've been able to get mods not on the workshop by joining servers since your forced to download them, not much use but unless your a PC server owner (not sure about console) I don't think you can get stuff not on the workshop
So for example, i downloaded the dayz and all dependencies. I activate only those, host a serever, select the dayz and launch. I get a fail to launch and it lists every mod in the dayz thing. I cant figure out whats going on, new to pc and this was supposed to be easy, the workshop, I thought lol
If you're planning on hosting the game from PC including mods, I'd always suggest look at running a dedicated instance and listing the mods as prerequisites in the config from there.
With reforger 1.0, in gamemaster , single player, i cannot change gear. It ask me supply cost. Anyone having this issue?
I've seen cannot move but not gear, I'll do some testing
Why i cant picku up moded weapons from crates......supply points....i dont get it...there are in the box but i cant ppick them up...

Usually removing all of your mods and redownloading them fixes this
When I get mods and try play a game it boots me out does anyone know why
This is usually a dodgy mod, try remove them all and reinstall. this can also be a server that specifies mods and you've not got the right one on.
So if I wanna use mods, I have to go through game master?
Or join a server that has the mods specified. Single player just loads your mods though. The worst bit is no steam workshop support

Pretty sure it just installs them to the same install drive as the game.

What internet connection are you using? You'll also need to make sure you keep the download window open too

How can i download them faster? 🤣🤣 downloading ingame always btwn 0,5 and 1 Mbit....
Assuming you've got a fast internet connection - They're using their own distribution for mods rather than using something tried and tested that performs (e.g. steam workshop). It's a disappointing turn.
@@slughead i am using reforge on my xbox. Its here really slow ^^
@@Pollacke This is why they ditched using a third party platform for hosting mods, to make the experience the same regardless of which platform you're using. But sadly the downside is performance
@@slughead one time a long waiting download... its okay. But i wanted to use it on two consoles... is not working with my expansion card on the other xbox ^^
But nevertheless... now other problems i have to figure out... looking for YT videos about food and drinks in reforger dayz 🤣🤣
@@Pollacke Haha, haven't tried that dayz mod in a lonnnng time! When I did it was very early on and it was rather dull
