    What about best for sound quality?

    • @eukariootti1
      @eukariootti1 15 дней назад

      There seems to be *HUGE variance* in answers...
      For Apple, I'd simply buy *Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation).* Even though they look bit dorky and I don't like the bright white colour.
      My _guess_ is that the next version will sound even better. The case is already the best there is.
      For Android... Well, I haven't heard great majority of them. Just like most reviewers haven't. Personally, I updated from Sony XM4's to *Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro.* Listening to music is now more fun. Since both comfort and sound quality improved.
      Some reviewers, at least if they're not into typical MegaBASS type sound, put beforementioned Apple and Buds2 Pro in fairly high places. Then again, many others don't...
      I've never heard B&W Pi7 S2 or any Sennheiser earbuds, for example. Based on their price and brand they _should be_ great, but you never know with earbuds. Because our ear channels aren't identical. Also, many earbuds seem to have "commercial sound", i.e. insane amount of bass.
      Anyways, they won't work as planned, if they don't fit to you. That was major problem for me with XM4's. They were also super-sensitive to wind and highest treble didn't exist at all. Fancy codecs, Custom EQ etc. can't fix things like that.

    I think I will move to the headphones after being your subscriber for years. Considering the experience of Sony WF 1000XM4, it is ample

      have you tried any other audio accessories?

    • @eukariootti1
      @eukariootti1 15 дней назад

      I paste my review here, in case it has something useful. I replaced Sony WF-1000XM4's with *Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro.*
      Sony lasted bit over 2 years. Just like my previous Sony WH-1000XM4's. Yes, both had 2 year warranty... 🤔
      At least for me, Buds2 Pro is:
      + Massive improvement in comfort (smaller, lighter)
      + Better sound. Now you can hear treble, too! More bass & dynamics.
      But still not the typical super-muddy MEGA BASS sound.
      + 2 drivers vs. 1 brings extra clarity (especially during loud bass)
      + Less sensitive to wind
      + ANC bit better, at least on some scenarios
      + More controls (after activating from the app):
      1/2/3 Taps: Play or Pause / Next / Previous
      Hold Left: ANC On Ambient sound
      Hold Right: Same, could be few other things
      Right earlobe: Volume Up (too big steps...)
      Left earlobe: Volume Down (too big steps...)
      - There are better options for those, who want best possible
      call quality and microphone sound.
      - No general Multi-device pairing
      - Doesn't work with iOS
      - Very sensitive touch controls (can be turned Off)
      - Battery life ~5 h with ANC
      - No Custom EQ. You get one by downloading app *Wavelet*
      - Some features work with Samsung Galaxy only
      * Windows app is called 'Galaxy Buds' and isn't advertised.
      Anyways, I use *Sony WH-1000XM4* headphones with PC. Sound
      quality isn't the best, but battery lasts much longer + there's
      nothing in my ear. ANC is slightly better, too. And they fold, unlike
      XM5's. So I bought a 2nd pair.
      Because of Android phone, Apple wasn't an option.
      Because of Samsung phone, additional features (many of them useless)
      Because of new version coming, priced at 99 €, including Finnish 24 % VAT,
      i.e. -57 % from the MSRP. That's about $107 (USD).
      Also, I hate muddy Lo-Fi MEGA BASS, offered by so many headphones. I listen
      to audiobooks, many styles of music etc. Boomy sound causes listening
      fatique and causes you to raise the volume, so that you'd hear the vocals too.

    I own the XM5s and QCIIs. QCIIs are still the king of ANC. For those are not interesting for ANC I suggest to try the Huawei Freeclips. The fit is from other planet, the battery, the multipair support, touch controls, lightweight & sound quality are top notch. They can also able to understand which earbud is in the left or right ear and adapt the proper channel. Huawei made a witchcraft with those beauties. Period.

    Rate them in sound pressure level, the first which will hit 120dB I will buy.( they will hardly reach 75dB) Until I will stick with my wired Sennheiser IE300.

    • @eukariootti1
      @eukariootti1 15 дней назад

      The unit of power is Watt (W)... Anyways, I haven't experienced headphones which wouldn't be loud enough for me (unless you want sub-bass at high levels).
      * If Andoid/iOS is limiting the volume (for new earbuds), turn that function off.
      * If IE 300 is similar to IE 200, it has fairly flat (Hi-Fi) frequency response.
      If so, this isn't Mega BASS -related (masking).
      * Do you consider yourself having quite normal hearing?
      * Do you listen to something exceptionally challenging?
      *Equal-loudness contour:* 80 phons (perceived loudness) is roughly:
      120 dB at 20 Hz
      110 dB at 30 Hz
      100 dB at 55 Hz
      90 dB at 110 Hz
      80 db at 1 kHz
      *Threshold for hearing* is far from linear. It's roughly:
      > 70 dB at 20 Hz
      60 dB at 30 Hz
      50 dB at 40 Hz
      40 dB at 55 Hz
      30 dB at 80 Hz
      20 dB at 120 Hz
      10 dB at 250 Hz
      < 0 dB at 2...5 kHz

    • @agrubera75
      @agrubera75 11 дней назад

      @@eukariootti1 The limiting factor is power, impedance and sound pressure level with any headphones and earphones. With wired earphones you need the lowest impedance possible ie 16ohms or less so less power needed to be driven by an amplifier (I guess you know that). My android phone doesn't limit the volume and it has a built in DAC converter but I can still attach a USB-C DAC dongle like ASUS MU-3C and still can get a bit of improvement in sound quality.
      The IE 200 is flat, doesn't come close to the IE300 nor IE400 which both are a bit V shaped. The IE 300 is very similar to the IE400 and these two are very similar to my old and trusty HD25 mk2 headphones.
