I have to agree. Never had a skateboard, never wanted one, never played or had any interest in skateboarding games. Yet, because of Dan and seeing the large open levels, I keep thinking I'd like to give this a go. Are we infected? Is Dan the new Covid?
@@sp0rk_ttv Sims 4 still has regular cheats, and it's an EA game. And yeah it is ridiculously priced but tbh, EA Play is £20 a year. A YEAR! and you get access to pretty much every EA game: Sims 4, Starwars Battle Front 1 and 2, Entire Battlefield Series, Entire Need For Speed Series and much more. Sounds good to me.
Remember back in the day when you'd buy a game you'd actually get the whole game and itd keep you entertained and engaged for months if not years. This gives me hope we might get back to those days
I really love two kinds of Dan's videos: The ones where he's genuinely over the moon and the ones where he really hates a game. Basically when he's just raw emotions.
My favorite part of this video is watching this grown man relive his childhood. The sheer joy you can hear in his voice is amazing. Its like a kid playing a game for the first time. What a truly amazing thing to watch. Happy for you Dan!
I didn't grow up with these games myself, but I have no words to describe how good it feels to see a remake of beloved classics be so warmly received by someone who loved the original. Now, if only someone would create a remake of Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters...
Whenever I am sad, I come back to this video. It's like hanging out next on the couch next to your super excited friend during the 90s watching him play in total enjoyment. Makes me smile everytime.
Impulse bought this yesterday for the nostalgia, immediately remembered that i suck at Tony Hawk games (if you need someone to land every single trick exactly parallel to the lip, I'm your man) and most of my enjoyment came from watching friends play it. I'm still happy with my purchase, 10/10
I absolutely love watching Nerdcubed play games he loves. Only problem is he said "Thanks Tony Hawx". Poor Tony, Dan loves your games so much and doesn't know your name.
I have never played these games before but there is something so infectious about seeing dan so happy to play a game that I now have to try this game when I get a chance.
This game is just so much a part of 90s culture. I must have played it for *maybe* 30 minutes at a friend's house but I *still* somehow know some of the secrets just via 90s playground chatter.
I want to meet dan one day, and just give him a hug, one hug. For making my childhood, teens, and soon adulthood more bearable. I was here from the beginning and I'll be here until the end, which I hope isn't soon.
I've only ever played THUG, but I have quite a bit of nostalgia for it. My favorite part of that game was the level editor, so when Dan found the smart pieces I went from mildly interesting in this game to completely and utterly sold.
These games were some of the best parts of my childhood. Me and my sister only got about 1 or 2 games a year and these along with the third game were some of the first we got and we played them from the time we woke up to the time we went to bed. We settled arguments by seeing who could get more points in the timed runs.
My reaction to this was pretty tepid at first, right up until he started playing Hanger. Then it was like a core memory and been unlocked and I felt true childlike happiness.
just watched your old video of THPS5. and i love how excited you are now! i played the old tony hawks SOLO. i never switched the game out. always was just playing this game. and now finally i can skate again. i hated all the tony hawk newer editions. like HD and 5 i wasn't feeling it and was dissapointed. but this!!! is HEAVEN
Man watching you brings me nostalgia, not just you playing Tony Hawk. I’m remember you playing one of my favourite games of all time, Bully. This is also one of my all time favourites too 🔥🔥🔥
Honestly, I never actually played Pro Skater 1 or 2 (just American Wasteland honestly from what I remember) Yet this still somehow gives me such nostalgia, and makes this feel like one of the feckin best nerdcubed videos I've seen In a hella long time. It may be a sin to say nowadays but; I'm happy.
Also, just getting to the custom park section of the video and... Okay, yeah, we need to praise and promote the hell out of this game so other companies follow suit with how fecking amazing and detailed that is. oh my feck. And hearing's dan's genuine happiness and excitement with it just... makes it so much greater.
@@LauraaaxxH out of any of the Tony Hawk games, it was one of my favorites. Whether it was the atmosphere, the fact it had a storyline, the hilarious surroundings and missions, and just the multiple shops around the area, it was the great. But, the best TH game of all time was American Wasteland, and there is NOTHING anybody can do to convince me otherwise.
I never thought that THPS will be remade at this insane level of quality and attention to detail I played a ton of THPS 3 so hopefully that will come as well, but I'll definitely spend a lot of time with this, It's absolutely incredible.
I remember playing THPS2 on the gameboy advance, but it was really THPS3 that was my childhood! Had some awesome levels and bonus characters, loved Ollie the Magic Bum.
Dans Childish excitement of video games is what I live for and what I've subscibed for. This is quite possibly my favourite video I've watched inn a while!
I have zero nostalgia for these games, but watching Dan play a game he so clearly loves is infectious.
Seriously I genuinely never cared for them as a kid but seeing this and how happy he is for it makes me kinda wanna buy it.
I have to agree. Never had a skateboard, never wanted one, never played or had any interest in skateboarding games. Yet, because of Dan and seeing the large open levels, I keep thinking I'd like to give this a go.

Seriously I remember unlocking all the characters like officer Dick lol
same on kinda wanting this now. dan makes it look so fun
Yeah.. Burnout messed up their oppurtunity.

Nerd³ Completes Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
YES.
This needs to be a thing!
YES YES YES YES Y E S
He's been playing it live, go to his live channel. Hours of it already there
A Nerd³ 100%'s maybe?
What the Create a Park needs is the ability to set up goals so people can complete them like proper levels, even if they don't get XP for them.
yeah, i remember they had that in THPS4. Also, would be nice if you could skate around the parks in private multiplayer lobbies
@@esquared722 I think 3 let you do that, as well. I'll start it up again tomorrow to check.
There’s a certain nostalgia feeling that only Tony Hawk’s games can give
Literally, heard Superman by Goldfinger and was immediately transported back to those days
I love hearing Dan in his happy place. It's so wholesome
I do love that Dan still calls him "Tony Hawk's" when referring to the person.
I thought he was just confusing him with the comedian.
Dan: "Also there's assist which is just basically cheats..."
Me: "Man... Remember cheats?"
Dan: "... Remember cheats?"
:D
Cheats still exist but now they are called 'credit cards', can't see it taking off.
@@JD1611 yeah for EA games, sure, but THPS? Shit would be disowned by the community if they even attempted that

"LOOK HOW GOOD SCHOOL LOOKS" - something I never thought I would hear Dan say

"Releases THPS 1& 2 remastered"
The fans: apology accepted!
to be fair Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was from a different developer entirely.

And yet they still felt the need to apologise for the disgraceful abomination to humanity that was THPS5.

"game"?
What's that?
You mean slot machine?
ATM?
I'm really not hip to your lingo.

does anyone else really want a planet coaster style endless playthrough of Dan building skate parks?
"Here I am, doing eeeeverything I can." God that soundtrack is amazing.
It’s gonna be awkward when Dan screams Tony Hawk’s name in the bedroom tonight...

"We don't need Skate 4. We got Tony Hawk's." You are so correct.
Except for the correct part.
I'm so happy you brought back "HELLO PROCRASTINATORS"

Remember opening Pro Skater 1 on Christmas, with my big grey playstation. I didn't see my family until boxing day. Those were the days.

Truly, Dan’s sheer excitement for this game inspired me to buy it, and the last Tony Hawk game I played was that weird Disney/Pixar one for GameCube.
These games were some of the best parts of my childhood.
