Watching this and the people who produced It, has made me fully realize why these games aren’t really that popular with the true core skate community. It’s in no way made by people who skateboard. They are literally just filling a role on a project. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve don’t nothing wrong, they did their parts correctly. It’s an arcade with genuine skateboarders. (Which I’m all for, hoping they get that bag)

“That’s illegal. *FBI, open up* “
I love these people lol
This is a "segmented" run, where they take the best run from each segment, one segment in this case being each level, and join them with other runs who had the best time for their respective level! It's not a real world record, just a theoretical/potentially best run that a human could do, but still amazing none-the-less! These speedrunners went absolutely ham! And great video as always, this series is seriously genius!
Dev Team: Did you have fun?
Every gamer ever: ... fun?
Lots of respect for the VV team. Their fingerprint on Destiny was one of the best expansions.
Ask them why they made the lvl 100 trophy an insane 80 hour grind.
I used to skip dialogues and scenes and do only the necessities in game. But I learned that people actually put effort in creating stuff so now I try and explore and actually SEE the game as much as possible
neat factoid about the hangar!
Always remember the huge amount of hours that went into a speedrun. It's an insane amount of playtime. awesome stuff!
The speedrunner probably took more time practising than the devs deving
Not really lol. Just making one stage takes a lot of time.
The game hasn't been out that long so... no
I would have said yes but the routes are all pretty much different with this game.
Andy Gentile, drummer for the band "An Endless Sporadic", nice to see him again
You think they'd hire these guys as bug testers.
;-)
Devs React to speedrun Drinking game:
1. What? HOW!?
2. That isn't supposed to happen
3. (Dev name) was supposed to fix that!
4. How many times have they played this game?
5. How do you FIND things like that!?
6. How long does it take to master even one of these glitches
/things?
7. That's amazing, I never thought about that
8. Should we patch that?
9. It's fun watching people break the game
10. I spent MONTHS on that and you skipped it in seconds
11. We should put in more elevators...
Love these devs react
This is honestly one of the greatest series ign has done they should make it more official and put out more of these
This game really makes you feel like Tony Hawk. -IGN
I grew up in Montana and I remember losing it the first time I played TH2 on N64. It felt so cool thinking that someone was thinking about us when making a video game. LOL
Why does almost every game dev have a random dude named andy who is a genius in his craft.
Plot Twist: It's the same Andy
UNDERGROUND 1+2 REMASTER!!!!
But without having true skateboarders and people who love skateboarding and keep up with skateboarding will the game come across as genuine. You really see a difference between this and the numerous others out there.I’m in no way saying this game is bad, just not a skateboarding community driven skateboarding game. It’s an arcade with genuine skateboarders. (Which I’m all for, hoping they get that bag)
“filling a role on a project”
nailed it
"That's not the point of the mechanic, but it's so clever!" I like these devs.
IGN can’t tell the difference between a remaster & a remake
Nothing will beat Tony Hawk Underground 2
Any chance we’ll see a remaster of the Underground series? 👀🙏😇
No.
Georgetheplushie's new warehouse time is 22 seconds now. He's gotten two seconds quicker since this video
ok but like... WHERE'S THE TONY HAWKS UNDERGROUND REMASTER HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM???????
These are the kind of people they pair me w/ in Jams. I need mp Free Skate, these sweats make me wanna popsicle myself for eternity.
10:52 My exact reaction.
as someone who grew up playing the original games seeing these levels brings up so much emotions and flashbacks to my childhood 🤘
Love that women lead this.
Excellent run. Also thanks to the devs for remaking this game, you can tell they put some love into it.
Seriously, how does anyone have the time and patience to figure this stuff out lol. So beyond me.
Thankfully this isn't a game with massive maps that have a ridiculous amount of possibilities, the maps in THPS1 and 2 are the perfect size for literally anyone to figure out their own quick paths with a little time and creativity.
@@somethingsomething9006 I was more referring to the mechanic manipulations and and exploits. I had the original maps down as a kid on ps1 I dont have the time or desire to devote these days lol
@@kylew7180
That depends the game. In this game, there really isn't any mechanical manipulation or exploit that you really _need_ to learn, while other speedrun categories (Sekiro Any%) require you to consistently pull of glitches and exploits.
Thumbs up for Andy THPS
LOL WHAT HOW nice reaction
I’m so happy for the age of RUclips game speed running videos because before I actually started watching what other people are capable of I never believed some of the faster times or even that people can make it thru Dark Souls hitless.
Anyone else annoyed by the way these guys are talking as if they "created this game" but the fundamentals of this game was there probably when these guys were kids
Only the handling code was taken and modified from the original games. Everything else was fully remade from the ground up. They absolutely "created the game".
@@ips2124 no... no they didn't.. its already been said BY THEM the controls and physics were taken from the original
@@toekneetwoshoes1754 yes. But there is more to the game than just the controls and physics
Its really fun listening to these devs ! And seeing them being suprised about the skill ^^
you're a girl? ok
@@xvhkgreen6297 femboy
How are they getting so much speed and air its almost like its on 2x speed? Even on a maxed out skater I can never get this fast.
It's probably the camera angle and fov making it appear that way
Developers are like parents that ask did you taste your food
