Absolutely. The best content they've released in almost decades. I even hate reaction videos, but to me, this is more nuanced. Game development is a tricky industry where the creators treat their games as their baby. They know the ins and out of their game. To see their creation get dissected by skill, glitches and exploits is very entertaining.

Kinda embarassing how you can just run and roll and all the mobs are too slow to react to you. It's not like it requires skill or anything, just go straight and roll and you can ignore everything but the boss...
@@GuillaumeG-oz3hz All souls games are like that though. You can always run past enemies. But your first time, you wouldn't since you don't know where to go and what lies ahead. The running past enemies is a game design to allow players to go straight to the boss once they know where the boss fight is. Removes the tedium of having to slowly fight enemies one by one. This is also one of the reasons why DS2 SotF was shite. The enemy's aggro distance is way too long that you have to fight every enemy in a room before progressing, or else they'll follow you. Having to do this 3 or 4 times again and again everytime you die, it'll get tedious.
19:35 "How's he gonna deal with this though? Oh, apparently very easily. Never mind." I think that just about perfectly sums up speedrunning right there.
Just because this game is more on the short side is not a bad thing ( I do wish it was longer but you get what you get) the combat is really fun and the visuals are amazing, I hope this game gets dlc or something like that in the future.
He made more progress In 8 minutes than I’ve made since the games been out. I also love how Much the devs appreciate these type of runs. This style isn’t for me but it’s such a cool thing these guys found a game within a game.
i love it when speedrunners find crazy exploids like "hit that thing and fly into the air" and the dev team just sweats and laughs "waiiiit what?". i totally feel that bro :D
People say speed runners ruin games but this man put in mad play time to learn how to do this. Devs should love the speed runs, its one of the ways people show real appreciation to games

So what you're saying is that speedrunning while being not-sober-minded (be it due to sleep deprivation, drunkness or anything else) is the ultimate experience...
That is insane! If the devs see this though please don't try and make a game so impossibly hard to stop speed runners. They'll find an exploit... I won't lol
Of course it's lil aggy. If you like speed runs check out his channel. He has the current WR for all achievements on sekiro and he was a previous holder for a ton of the sekiro speed runs plus he does crazy challenges (blindfolded isshin sword said, sekiro on DK bongos, sekiro on dance dance revolution dance pad thing, ect)

Distortion hasn’t been showing his face in his speed runs a lot. He also swears a lot more now than he used to, so although still an awesome speed runner, probably hard to show him on this.
It’s absolutely wonderful to have dev commentary on a speedrun. Thanks guys. (EDIT) To the devs: guys, very few humans can do stuff like this - please let ‘em have their fun and let the rest of us mere mortals attempt to try (and fail) at the same glitches ;-) - don’t patch ‘em!
anton vitaly and andrew i dont know if you will see this, but if you do... you have made an amazing game, i preordered right away. Keep following that vision and the next cp2077 will come from you guys

This guy definitely finish this game over 100 times to fully understood the whole maps n every inch of its world. Alive this video.
Did the Devs forget you could block fall damage with Harden? I noticed they were wondering how he survived the superlaunches from the central temple and the drop into the ice temple, but they should already know about the harden-fall mechanic from the 3rd boss right, how you need to harden so you don't lose a life when it drops you into the arena? They kept mentioning "maybe he rolled through the damage" or "finding the perfect angle" but its really just hitting a button in time.
with a shell you need an ability, shelless specifically can do it with harden, the others can't off the bat, and only 1 member on the team put that effect into place so the others prob didn't really think of it (plus that one major fall has massive kill boxes you have to kinda fall around precisely)
This is impressive. When I played, the Solomon shell trivializes this whole game, once I found it. You can basically fill 6 bars of resolve and and head to a boss. Taking out single phase bosses in two ability uses and two phase bosses in four ability uses.
These game Devs sound like the nicest guys. The only thing they've done right.
Lmao "what wait hows he skip that"
"Is that skippable?"

My favorite part was the “oh he HAS to take out the 3 fires to get passed the gate” then he just rolled over it lmao.
I like how when one dev talks about possibly patching in a skip button, his only concern is previous speed run times would have to be re done

more like unmortal

Its nice when the devs don't get all butthurt about glitches for speed running. And instead just enjoy the skill level of the runner.
The thinly veiled rage behind their laughs is just *chefs kiss*.
they should do a series where devs react to players who gets frustrated/ rage quit on their game.
