    Great reviews on the new titleist drivers.
    I just got fitted for and bought the titleist TS2 and then had a quick try out on one hole at my local gold course Te Marua, NZ, I hit 4 shots, 3 you could have thrown a blanket over and the 4th was my customary bad miss, a flarey push to the right which still only lost about 8 meters, awesome forgiveness and I now feel that a lot more confidence with the driver

    Been out of golf for quite a number of years. So long my last driver was the TM 300ti 8.5. I purchased the TS3 8.5 HZRDUS Smoke 60g stiff shaft. WOW what a difference in technology today. TS3 is most definitely a keeper.

    Picked up the TS2 towards the end of the season! Man do I love that driver! It’s a bombers dream and it’s very forgiving!

    I have been leaning toward the TS2 from all I have seen, but now you have convinced me to find a fitter. Not easy in my town.

    I tried the TS3!!!
    Didn’t have time to try the TS2 but considering how I hit the TS3 I don’t need to.
    I’m getting one...WOW
    first drive carried over 315 / total distance 330! Everything thereafter was nearly as good. 310-320+ total distance on every ball I hit reasonably well
    My swing speed was between 109-113 today.
    I’m completely sold. This club is for real.

    • @todddelgiudice8258
      @todddelgiudice8258 5 лет назад +1

      wow, that's crazy carry and distance at that speed. My swings are all 109-112, 110 avg and I'm getting nowhere near that carry/total. What were the backspin #'s on those long balls? SOmetimes when I hit a really low spin shaft/head combo they go forever but have under 2000 rpms backspin - and in the real world that just won't do it.

    • @todddelgiudice8258
      @todddelgiudice8258 5 лет назад +1

      btw I changed out today with the help of a great fitter to the TS2 with a Speeder 661 Tour Spec. Getting more forgiveness than the TS3/757 combo and a bit more distance, especially on mis-hits

    • @richardsdiaz1
      @richardsdiaz1 5 лет назад

      Todd DelGiudice Good catch! I was around 1400-1600 rpm that day as I recall. Pretty sure that first swing was north of 117mph though. I can swing that hard I just don’t generally choose to. Adrenaline played a role. I was super excited to try it.
      The TS3/shaft combo I bought is getting me around 1800-2000rpm and is giving me total distance of around 300-306yds on a solid strike. The shaft is a Diamana D+ Limited (whiteboard) X - flex 80g.

    • @richardsdiaz1
      @richardsdiaz1 5 лет назад

      Todd DelGiudice that’s awesome! I’ll get around to trying the TS2 again someday but on the day of my second fitting I really didn’t like it. The shape bothered me a little. It looks a lot like the Callaway Rogue to me and I don’t like that elongated shape. I was getting too much spin with it anyway.

    • @todddelgiudice8258
      @todddelgiudice8258 5 лет назад

      Interestingly, my spin came down with the new combo. With the TS3, off-center hits were up in the 3000's, bringing my avg spin into the upper 2's. The TS2 spins less on mis-hits and about the same for me on center strikes so we were able to bring the avg spin to 2400-2500 range. My first fitting was on a trackman indoors, which I didn't realize is quite compromised indoors. This fitting was on the amazing GC Quad indoors, so much more accurate #'s. Trackman wasn't catching all of the spin.

    Fantastic head to head vlog and two amazing drivers,I would honestly struggle to decide between the two, that’s where a driver fit with a top quality fitter would hopefully decide for you it also depends if you want to shape the ball or hit straighter

    I hit both clubs at golf galaxy and I liked the ts3 better and love the even flow 6.5 shaft, I hit ping g400 max now. I hit them about the same as my ping. I need to do more testing, not ever been a titleist club fan. This driver is worth taking another look at. It is very loud at impact.

    • @miltontaylor7750
      @miltontaylor7750 6 лет назад +1

      Station 2Station TS3 is the more dull sounding club. TS2 is the more loud hollow sound. I have hit them both and the 3 is the one that if you have the swingspeed, you like it

    • @station2station544

      Ok good to know. I actually got fitted into a TS3 with HZRDUS Smoke 6.5 (x-stiff) and frankly, indoors, I couldn't discern between the two models. Especially because the fitting balls were Bridgestone TourB XS which is a softer premium ball.. My SS is 108-111 with driver. I appreciate your feedback!

    • @miltontaylor7750
      @miltontaylor7750 6 лет назад

      Station 2Station last thing..it’s interesting that you said you got fitted for one inside and another outside felt different. I’m actually a fitter. Inside I was all about the TS2. It felt faster inside, it felt hotter off the face inside, and it sure sounded faster inside. However when I took them both outside, the TS3 really showed it low spin and performance. I was sold on the TS2 inside until I took them outside in the elements. TS3 for me all the way. Good conversation bud, good luck to you in the future

      Sloe Bone You can wait another two years before you see the TS drop to around 300£ mark. TM and Cally maybe but not Titleist

    • @sloebone7399
      @sloebone7399 6 лет назад +1

      I prefer Taylor Made and Ping anyway, you can definitely pick up last season’s drivers for bargain prices. Let’s face it, everybody is at the 460cc limit and pushing the bleeding edge of MOI and spring effect so the extra $300 or $400 isn’t really buying you anything. It’s all marketing.
      I’m a major gear head when it comes to golf equipment but new drivers just aren’t worth half a grand..

    • @davidhyland7964

      @@sloebone7399 I completely agree. I'm actually playing a Titleist 913 D2 and I don't think I'll ever change. I've tried the 917 D2 and hated the sound and feel. Newer isn't always better.
