"If you slice it or have trouble hitting off the deck, TS2 is a no brainer." The world has yet to produce a fairway wood that I can't slice or chili-dip off the deck.
Hi Ian and Matt - really enjoying this series! Who doesn't love seeing Matt dropping 3 wood bombs (nobody is the answer)! For us mere mortals it would be fun to see Lindsay run a bracket - her dynamics are much closer to mine (and I guess many golfers) and are eminently relatable! Keep up the great work and congrats on the continued success of the channel - one of the best golf-related ones out there (imho)
I'm thinking I may go to 4 wood next time. I like my TS2 3 wood and LOVE my TS2 hybrids but as a low-ish draw hitter I'm always afraid of that smother hook. I figure I can take a 16.5 down to 15.75 1 flat and make it almost unhookable like my hybrid setup.
Have you guys ever looked at TS2 vs TSi2 3woods? I hit the TSi2 back in Oct/Nov but with lockdown they’re v hard to get hold of and impossible to get fitted for. Would TS2 be a good short term stop gap for this year?
How often is Matt hitting 3-wood off the deck? I ask because we hit it about the same distance, and there is almost never a situation where I am hitting 3-wood off the deck. For me, its almost exclusively a club for off the tee on short par-4s, and Id rather hit a long 4-iron into a par-5 and chip on if it doesn't reach.
I hit fairway woods recently, but was being fitted for a driver. I have to say that at address, nothing looked more sexy and inviting than the Mizuno and Titleist. They both have that classic, glossy finish that just begs you to take a rip.
This going to be very interesting. If the Mavrik prelim is as close it just goes to show you need a proper fitting for these clubs. For so long its been” I’ll get the fairway that matches y driver” no test shots.
Would like to see a comparison of the bracket winner against a hybrid bracket aswell. To be honest i feel the new hybrids are also offering som serious distance and wondering if its actually needed to get 3 fairway woods when you have hybrids with low loft and great distance. Would be cool to see the diviation on that. And if you drive 300+ yards there is rearly need for the 3w anyway.
Not going to include the Cobra SpeedZone tour and SpeedZone Big Tour?? I was interested to see Matt's take on the new big tour fairway which is a little deeper.
what if you reduce the swing weight of TS2 and then put it back on with lead tape to make it a more toe weighted head? I mean, the dispersion with TS3 was tighter because it had more weight on the toe (at least it seems that way IMO). Great content! I love the channel
Great stuff, thanks guys! Please, do also hybrid bracket! And nobody seems to test women clubs... I am not saying you should, but you could do that as well with your customer base, perhaps. Underlooked and underserved market. Was just looking for a fairway wood and a hybrid, for my wife with no reviews anywhere.
86.2K CLICK THE RED THING THAT SAYS "Subscribe" ....Please! TS3 ball flight off the tee...!! Tasty indeed! Thx for sharing TXG! Edit: It's not cold here now gents...just went outside..UGH..97!
Ian, I don't know if you've ever done a video or talked about hot melt but it would be really interesting to see Matt hit the TS2 someday with hot melt in the toe. I have a feeling it might be the best of both worlds and even better than the TS3 for him?
My wife was asking why I was watching videos about whips cracking. She said it sounds like a kinky porno with the “nice” comments. I said no, it’s golf testing. Then “whack”.... “nice, sexy” and I got a weird look. Then “whack”... “perfect” “that’s lovely” “mmmm” and she said “oh come on! There’s no WAY that’s golf!” Hahaha I guess if your not actually watching the screen it could sound “interesting”
I like your videos....very informative, but almost as a matter of principle, I'm not going to drop several thousands into clubs.....as you guys pointed out, Matty has over $1000 sunk into his driver. When you guys did a review on some Hogan clubs and Wishon's Sterling, you definitely entered more my territory of interests. Could you do more? I get it if you want to stay away from the lower end companies, but ones like Wishon and Golfworks especially just have a different, but still very admirable business model that, I believe, give access to quality equipment at a drastically reduced cost. Personally, I'm interested in all component companies.....if they're manufacturing junk, they will be exposed. It strikes me that you guys would give an objective assessment. Yes, no, maybe.....what are your thoughts?
@@clubchampionmedia Fair enough.....thanks for your reply. I would think that the component companies would see a great opportunity in sending you guys their products. If they perform within the ballpark of the big boy companies for a fraction of the price, you would think they'd consider it a huge win. Thanks again for what you guys do. I always look forward to your videos.
TXG Tour Experience Golf I did not hear you will be testing the Mizuno line on your first video. I could of missed that part but only heard TM, Callaway and Titleist. I will watch video again to make sure I did not make an honest mistake. Mizuno groupie here.. haha keep up the fantastic job you guys are doing!!!
Peak Height is a terrible metric, you already have launch and spin so peak height based on an arbitrarry 110ft is useless. Also surely std dev should be weighted higher. Really not a fan of your metrics on this one.
Ian we need to sort out how to get you as a voice commentator in the next PGA tour video game
"Sexy ball flight. That's lovely."
Thank you guys! I hope you hit the 100k soon!
I have a ts2 3 wood and ts3 driver and the sound it makes is beautiful

I LOVE my TS2 3w. Got a grafalloy bimatrx shaft in it and it is excellent
Just love the look of the TS fairway wood line! If only i could hit it like robot Matty!
this was the one I was the most intrigued about , been looking at these woods for my bad as I am struggling with my mavrik woods.
Jody Mullin yikes 😱 I just bought the mavrik standard. Should tested it properly first though
Dion Tipene don’t think it’s the clubs fault.. operator error for sure
I’m gonna go with the Mizuno in the long run. Lookin forward to the upcoming videos!
Mizuno would win HANDS DOWN this year but they dont make the TS head in LH...
Two in a day, you're spoiling us!
Two what in a day?

I have the TS3 in the 3 wood and love it. Just got the TS2 5 wood and still have yet to try it out but excited
When I saw him hitting a three-wood 300 yd that's all I needed to know. My game is not comparable 😂
Why not test ping or cobra woods ? Like g410vsg410lst or speedzone vs speedzone tour ?
Wow Matty hit a fade with the TS3! That's a walk off right there!
Have you guys ever looked at TS2 vs TSi2 3woods? I hit the TSi2 back in Oct/Nov but with lockdown they’re v hard to get hold of and impossible to get fitted for. Would TS2 be a good short term stop gap for this year?
I'm looking forward to the rest of the bracket it's interesting.
Didn’t think it was goin to be that close. Can’t wait for remaining rounds!
Great video as always, would love to see one where you compare the 15 degree ts2 hybrid (perhaps even turned down) with a conventional fairway wood.
I hope the mavrik does well I just bought the standard 3 wood
That Titleist feels soooo fast off the face.

Nice close battle! Just been fitted for a TS2 👍
Still loving my TS2 3 wood. That surefit weight definitely made a big difference for him.

How are you picking a shaft for each head....just something Matt is comfortable with?
How does the Lefty keep the backswing at 3/4 but hit a 3 wood 270
I didn't expect ts2 to put up such a good fight, but in the end, the dispersion was amazing
Why is 110 ft the number you choose? Is that optimal height for a 3 wood?
at this speed yes
TS2 works great for me, especially off the deck.😎
Looking forward to Touredge EXS Pro and Mizuno 190TS. OH WAIT!! THE MARKET DOESNT F*ING MAKE IT LEFT HANDED!!!
Coooooooolllllll.... 🥶😵
The TS3 is, in my book, the better club. Oooh and the sound and feel is second to NONE!
Love my TS2 fairway

I’m curious, where the hosel settings the same in both heads?
yes
Realizing it may be 1 in a 1,000 versus my 1 in 10, I would love to see you duck hook one to no where. So damned controlled. Good stuff again.
Are the Cobra fairway woods going to be added to the bracket?
yes the standard SZ
Great stuff guys!
Love Titleist clubs but i'm still rooting for Tour Edge
Great stuff, thanks guys! Please, do also hybrid bracket! And nobody seems to test women clubs... I am not saying you should, but you could do that as well with your customer base, perhaps. Underlooked and underserved market. Was just looking for a fairway wood and a hybrid, for my wife with no reviews anywhere.
Would you want to add more loft to the ts3 for the next round???
Who needs a robot when you have a Matt? Good lord the guys a machine
We need a blooper reel of bad shots from time to time, just to give us normal people something to identify with. Or would that spoil the mystique?
Great idea! I need to know he’s human

Aren’t there new titleist woods coming out?
Thinking that TS will be a good competitor
More great content, thanks!
We not getting a Speedzone vs Speedzone Tour prelim? 🙁😭
Are y’all not going to do a video to compare which cobra wood should make it in with there being 3 different models of 3 woods!?
standard SZ will be in the bracket
Like the Mavrik Subzero 3 wood quite a bit.
Matty is a robot. great video guys. Will Ping G410 be in the upcoming rounds? STD versus LST
LST will be in
Hate to be picky but you should have set the TS3 to stock settings and used the same stock shaft...?
My apology if I'm incorrect in my assumptions.
we used the same shaft in both, the adjustability in the TS3 is its advantage so that's the way we used it
Ian, I don't know if you've ever done a video or talked about hot melt but it would be really interesting to see Matt hit the TS2 someday with hot melt in the toe. I have a feeling it might be the best of both worlds and even better than the TS3 for him?
I'm going with the Mizuno ST200 TS 3w for the win overall.....if you use the TS model that is :)
Ian Styring I’ve got both, the Mizuno spends far more time in the bag.
Love the ts2...
Does Matt play tournaments at all? His consistency on drives is ridiculously impressive
Get that sim driver and TI 3w in the bag. Rpg and Fuji pro 2.0 Ts shafts.
Done and done
I have a 13.5 degree ts3 and I just hit missiles off the tee.
Qualifier for speedzone/tour/big tour?
will just be the SZ

😂😂😂
TS2 turned over for me very easily as well.
Very nice club that TS3, to bad the Tour Edge is going to win the bracket😉

we're always willing to review clubs that companies send us, we haven't received all that many though to be honest just a handful of times

Prediction is the gamer wins. Let's see if I'm right
Why not mizuno st200?
what do you mean? It's a qualifying round for these Titleist heads, ST200 is in the bracket
