Had it for a few years now. Still solid and no issues structurally. The paint/finish on it is starting to corrode and rust a little in some areas, but nothing major. My truck is covered in salt for 3 months out of the year from winter, so that has a lot to do with it I’m sure. Prob will sand it and paint it flat black when it starts to become more noticeable. Aside from that, no complaints. Held up good
I think I had to add one or 2, can’t remember for sure tho. They stack to you can get the bumper as tight to the panel lines and tail gate as possible. They give you plenty with the pumper also
My truck is a 2017 with a backup camera, no special mirrors so I’ve had no issues. I do know this bumper comes with the sensor holes for the newer 3rd gen models, so I would assume it would be compatible with any of the newer accessories and cameras, but I can’t say for sure.
Yeah I had the same problem. I had to trace the wire cluster back and cut some zip ties that were installed at the factory to get a few more inches of slack
Thanks for the review this helps, I’m considering a front and back steel bumper that’s on eBay for around 1500. And front is not lopro but a full length one.
I’ll make another review this spring once we are out of the winter season completely. But so far so good. No first signs of rust. It’s been covered in salt for over 2 months and it’s holding up good. I really don’t have anything bad to say about it yet. We’ll see what it looks like when I give it a bath and take a closer look
It’s a good bumper. Very solid and easy install. I’ve had it for a few years and the powder coat is starting to rust in some areas which is disappointing, but I live in the Midwest so it’s covered in salt for months out of the year. Prob has a lot to do with it
@@timbear3175 Glad to hear it. I pulled the trigger and ordered it along with their front bumper. Living in New England I’ll probably have the same problem with rust. Might have to take it off and powder coated every 5 years or so.
Pretty sure the bumper accommodates it. My truck doesn’t have one luckily so it’s something I didn’t have to mess with. But they have separate holes for them that they send with a rubber plug to fill it if you don’t have any additional sensors to attach in.
Yeah man, it’s a god bumper and def adds great protection. I’m gunna do a 2 year review also to show you all how it’s held up over the elements and weather. Still going strong
2017s don’t have backup sensors stock. This bumper does have pre drilled holes for factory sensors if your truck has them. They’re the small little circles you see on the bumper.
That I’m not sure of. There’s only 2 holes pre drilled on the left and right side of the bumper for sensors, nothing on the sides for anything else. So I would guess not
Yeah, I would say tho that most bumpers won’t have much room to install cube lights when still mounted to the truck. Prob easiest to take it off to install em
Update on the bumper??

It looks like you didn't use or receive the spacers that raise the bumper to aide with alignment. Can you confirm that please?
I did use them
Hey man love the bumper ! Quick question tho, how many square spacers did you use for the under part of the bumper ?
I think I had to add one or 2, can’t remember for sure tho. They stack to you can get the bumper as tight to the panel lines and tail gate as possible. They give you plenty with the pumper also
how where you able to connect the trailer hitch wiring hardness to the connector? I am not able to connect mine properly because it's not long enough.
Traced the wiring harness back further and cut some zip ties and tape from the factory to get a few more inches of slack
Thanks for the video. Im considering this unit for my truck!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Good stuff bro. It’s a great bumper for the price 👍
Hey, saw someone talking about once he installed the new bumber he lost his ability to use his blind spot mirrors. Have you ran into that issue too ?
My truck is a 2017 with a backup camera, no special mirrors so I’ve had no issues. I do know this bumper comes with the sensor holes for the newer 3rd gen models, so I would assume it would be compatible with any of the newer accessories and cameras, but I can’t say for sure.
Can you say if the license plate lights wash out the rear view camera being angled up?
Nope it doesn’t. I have aftermarket LEDs for my plate lights too (much brighter than stock bulbs) and I still can use my backup camera no issue
How did you connect the trailer harness? I’m having trouble making mine reach at the moment looking for help
Yeah I had the same problem. I had to trace the wire cluster back and cut some zip ties that were installed at the factory to get a few more inches of slack
You could have forced it to fit tight with a BFH on the brackets.
1/2 hour of research till I realized what it stood for 😂

Nice, good luck!
Can you please give an update on your bumper now that it has been through a winter? Thanks

@@timbear3175 Awesome. Preciate it man!
Good review. I’ve been looking at this bumper for my 2019 Sport.

Any idea how thick the steel is? (3/16?)
Yeah it’s 3/16 inch
Looks great and looks solid

Looks and fits a 2nd generation better
Looks good. Im looking at a 1/8 steel amazon rear bumper for my 16 2.7, im real close to ordering
I recieved my new bumper. Mines got the Leds built into it.
Thus Bumper was garbage. Ended up returning it and getting a Tyger rear bumper.
What about your back up sensors?
2017s don’t have backup sensors stock. This bumper does have pre drilled holes for factory sensors if your truck has them. They’re the small little circles you see on the bumper.
@@timbear3175 and from what I remember the blind spot sensors don't with these, right?
@@timbear3175 still looks really sweet. You doing a front bumper?

Thanks bro. Eventually Yes. prob will hit a tree in the trails and then that’ll force me to get something more durable lol
That number gap though....
What is a number gap?
If and when pod lights are added. The bumper has to be completely removed to install. There is no room to work.
Yeah, I would say tho that most bumpers won’t have much room to install cube lights when still mounted to the truck. Prob easiest to take it off to install em
That bumper looks awesome ima definitely getting one. Great video thanks man 👍
Look into the Tyger rear bumper. I returned thos one in the video. Didnt work with my uhaul hitch.
@@thumperbangin2000 sheeeeesh that thing ugly man...
@@thumperbangin2000 anything Tyger is really poor quality and will rust
@@joepaul1763 seen that . Bumpers been solid though now for several seasons.
