Ordered the Sp-404 mk2 yesterday, and stumbled over your vids. They are so nice, so I wanted to drop a comment to show some love. Stay blessed, and I'll def get your samplepacks for sure! Much love fam
Been enjoying your content so much that I’ve decided to support, bought the 4 LoFi kits a few days ago. Been on Maschine since it released in 2009 but looking to be able to make beats without a computer so bought a SP-404 Mk2 a few weeks ago, should come in over the next two weeks 🤞🏼 already know your vids are going to come in super helpful getting to grasps with this little machine. Keep the good shit coming ✌🏼
Thanks for the video, interesting to see how you stack the samples you like. Would be great to see a similar short video on how you would process these one shots
just a tip, you can change your shutter speed in order to get rid of the flickering on the 404 screen, it’ll affect the motion blur negatively if it’s not double the frame rate but we’ll be able to see the screen clearly
Thanks man yeah, I'm using my iPhone to film which uses variable shutter rate by the looks of it. Its usually not this bad, it must have just been the wrong lighting for it this time. I have found some options to make adjustments as well
@spvidz what interface do you use to record the 404 and mic audio into your phone when filming? I have an android but I'm just curious cause there's a few different routes you can go tech wise to handle it. Looking into doing my own DJ and production content soon so it'd be a big help!
@@spvidz also idk how many other people would be into this, but i would be really stoked to see a "How I film my videos and the gear I use" type video if you ever had the time. Though filming the filming gear might be tricky 😅😂
I've been copying the break and then chopping it on each pad but this looks like a much easier and better way. Thanks!!!! Maybe a video on pad link function to layer drums, I've had a go thinking it would be like MPC 2000xl bit it didn't really work out like that. Thanks for all the videos that you do. You are the reason I have an mk2 and I try to use it every day!
Funny you say that, I've been working with that today and its another video I want to do now yes! I will definitely be uploading something about it soon! Thanks for tuning in
Great Fn video @spvidz ! Keep these coming. I love my SP , I’m 🍀 to have got mine in the first shipment 📦. These videos are the #1 source for the MK2!! 🥁 #SamplingVinyl4Life #SPGang #BoomBapKings #NYC
I might be dumb but how did he get to that screen to do autocross? I can obviously see it's the start end chop mode but how to active the autocrop.autochopp...? I've Ben manually doing it 😅😅😂I'd need a time saver
I'm seeing them all around £420 - £480 on the shopping tab in google: www.google.com/search?q=sp404+mk2&sxsrf=ALiCzsYbtgCBJLj2kYEacZjil2Pw8D3Wgw:1662401392499&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj4guXjn_75AhUPfMAKHSIJBZEQ_AUoAXoECAIQAw&biw=2383&bih=940&dpr=1
I've got a live 2 but never really boot it up. I have quite a lot of experience with MPC devices. Have a 2500 and a 2000xl too and yeah they can definitely also do a good job!
I’m selling my mpc one. It’s great but, I’ve been using mpc’s for years. My sp-303 is my sauce. But, honestly my best beats are all from the 303 or 404. I want an instrument, not another iPad. Ya got me🫡👊💯✌️.
Support what I do by grabbing yourself some drums! Check out my packs here:

This man does NOT lie- his drum packs are amazing. I have two packs and every single one-shot is top rate.
🙌🙌🙌
Absolutely true! Great drums packs
I’m pretty rehearsed in the MK2, but I don’t know how to upload one shots from drum packs. How do you do that?

Thanks so much! Hope the vids help and welcome to the SP gang! ✨

Just got my mk2 and I’m going to be getting stuck in this weekend I have pre bookmarked a couple of your videos already. Thanks so much man 👍
Cool man, hope the vids help you out!
Brilliant vid- you’ve really opened this machine up for me and it’s so much fun
Glad to hear that 👊

Helped me out immensely. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for being the youtube mkII sensei
🙏🫡
Great breakdown of the process
Appreciate it 🙏
I'm very proud to be the first comment.
Thank you always spvidz!

Much appreciated man! Glad you've managed to bag one
Great video always on the next spvid from u, can u do a video on digging from drums from vinyl bro
Will add it to the list man thanks 🙌
If you’re
Gonna use auto chop for drum loops use transient Low so it only sticks to the highest transients not every little one ✌🏽
Thanks bro 🙌

great video thank you SPVIDZ
Thanks bro 🙏

Paul Nice drums loo
👍👍👍
Sp' screen flickers man! To avoid it adjust frame rate on recording camera! Usually 24fps works ok!
Yeah I’ve sorted it out since this video, cheers man
Love samplers, but do not the like the 404 mk2 or the newer mpcs at all. Love the S950 and almost everything up to the ASR-10.
Im seeing a crazy variation on price for the mk2 in the uk due to preordering etc.... Can someone tell me what I should be paying??

Am I the only one distracted by your SP screen flashing/fluttering?
Yeah it was particularly bad on this video for some reason. I need to look into stopping it
@@spvidz Change the frame rate or change the shutter speed on your camera so you don't get any flicker.
Yeah its a frame rate issue. I'm going to have to do a work-around on my iPhone but I've figured it out now I think
You think this is easy wait till you get your hands on the mpc one lol
I've got a live 2 but never really boot it up. I have quite a lot of experience with MPC devices. Have a 2500 and a 2000xl too and yeah they can definitely also do a good job!
Better change shuttertime....Stops screen from running...
Yeah I've sorted out the issues since this video

Fair man yeah I get you. I haven’t used my live 2 much either
