Yea just gotta be careful with it. Easier way would probably be to just drill out the center of the steering wheel to fit over the crown vic shaft instead but I did it this way so I can swap a newer one on later if I want
I have a 1963 steering wheel I wanted to use. But seeing your video, it won't work.. The older cars have splines. I have a 2000 lincoln and haven't taken my steering wheel apart. I assume that yours is a 2004 or newer.
Yea mines a 2006 and yea newer cars just have a circle or a shape they don’t have “splines” lol I mean if ya really wanted to use it you could hack off the end of youre ms and weld on the correct one but that probably wouldn’t be worth it lol
@@deandiluzio4602 yeah i’m picking up my town car tmmr and i rlly want the horn to work so could you like tell me step by step? and lmk if it’s safe to plug in the airbag
what tool did you use to shave the steering wheel shaft down
Angle grinder 😂 realized I never put that in the video oops
Did you try to see if a mustang clock spring would work
I think I started lookin into it but my horn didn’t work in the first place nor did my cruise because I never had cruise lol
Hmmmmm you giving me ideas for my Lincoln it looks good 🔥🔥🔥
just bought a mustang gt wheel and it’s waiting until i buy the vic🤙
I made a adapter out of the old vic wheel to bolt onto the mustang wheel
Probbaly would have been a smarter thing to do lol
How exactly did you do that?*
@@schm1nty u got a Instagram I can send u details about it and pics

Wonder if a mustang clock Spring would work 🤔 or since I’m going center console shift might be worth snagging the whole column
Hmm good question! Might be worth looking into lol
@@sammyhack indeed it would, wouldn’t it
