Not necessarily. They mention the possibility that he got in a box and was transported there. That's a real thing. When moving from my previous house to my current house, I arranged for my things to be picked up the day before the closing for my old home, held, and then delivered to the new home the following day. One of my cats went missing and was nowhere to be found for the move. When the truck with my belongings arrived, and they started unloading boxes, my cat shot out from deep inside the van and ran into the woods. During loading, he obviously had entered the van out of curiosity, hid from the noise of more boxes being loaded behind him, and been there the whole time. He did come back from the woods when I called, which is good since he had no idea where he now was. He went on a 40-mile trip. Luckily he ended up where he was supposed to be.
We just had a neighborhood dog missing for 20 mins bc he normally jumps in the back of their vehicle and lies down while they all get in and close the hatch but he apparently jumped right back out as soon as his human turned around and they drove home without him. He was chilling at the park making friends who called animal control.
Poor baby. Must have been confused and terrified. ❤
I'm so glad this story has a happy end.
Bucket list. Cat wanted to see the harbor.
Poor fing! ❤

someone had to have picked him up and then dumped him there. blessing that he was microchipped.
