I worked hard on homestead growing up living 70% time at bff orchard /farm. Cutting wood, stacking wood, carrying wood, rake brush, milk cow, pick apples, peaches, apricot, pears etc. Grafting trees, swamping cherry lugs. My first loves family had a 🏠 stead also so I went back and forth these two families, it was amazing time in my life from 5th grade to graduation. Best life you can give your kids and yourselves. Proud you took the leap.
My brother has lived in Idaho for a couple decades. My nephew has a place there too. I would move if I had a chance to. Love your new channel.I live in Wenatchee , Washington. Moved from Oklahoma in the 60's, miss the country life so much.
@@homesteadfashioned They are planning to come here where 95 %of the family is or gathers at our folks. I don't travel well anymore if I felt better I would.
I love that you are trying so many new things . Please get some safety gear for cutting wood though. Especially safety glasses. Ear plugs are good also, having all that loud noise can cause hearing lose. Love watching your family keep up the great work and wonderful life for those beautiful girls.
Fire wood makes you warm twice , once when you cut it and once when you burn it . Where not far from you guys, and go through 5-6 chords a winter . We only burn red fir and larch . To old to use a splitting mall anymore, we use a splitter. There's lots to learn about heating with wood . Please be careful with the chain saw. They can hurt you really bad , only takes a second . BTW if your going to burn much pine be sure and burn it hot and, or clean ur chimney often .
When you are chopping wood if you put the piece on a larger piece (a chopping block) you will find that you do not have to work so hard. I don't know if you know but a cord of wood is 2 by 4 by 8. 2 foot wide 4 foot tall and 8 foot long
All the talking and experiencing a new skill, good on you girl. But you will only ever have one set of eyes, so how about at the very least put on some safety glasses. You have gloves on to protect your hands, nails don't you..

Wenatchee isn’t too far from Idaho! You should definitely visit your Brother or nephew when you get the chance! 😄

A helmet and chaps for your legs are a great idea to protect your head and legs.
