In my OPINION! It’s the BEST Kia vehicle ever made. I’m a Genesis fan and owner and I still look in awe when I see a GT2 Stinger. Should be one of the last of the collectible cars in America
I went back and forth between a Stinger and the other outgoing VW Arteon. Having my previous car being totaled in a accident and needing a new car quick I happened upon a 22 Arteon SEL R-Line, I bought that. Driving both the Stinger is the more engaging car to drive and the VW is the more practical/plush everyday car. Both are great vehicles and sad that two fun non SUV options that have SUV levels of space and practicality are going away!
Another car that I thought was really cool, but proves (again) that what I value isn't popular with the masses. What was pricing on this? Seems like when I was studying them, prices were in the mid to upper 50'S. (USD), which is more than I want to put into a car right now. Aside from the hatch, that kind of puts it in Acura TLX Type S territory. I don't see many of those on the road either. Saw an A-Spec a few weeks ago, but assume that had the 2.0L 4 cyl.
I loved but sold my Stinger GT1 rwd to get an IS500.. it was a fun car. I tried to get a GT2 AWD for my wife but she opt'd for a Q50 Red Sport. It's not a racecar but great for cruising or daily driver. Too bad it got a bad rap cause "But, but it's a Kia"
Brian, how does this compare to a BMW M440xi Grand Coupe? They appear to be very similar based on specifications, including the curb weight, power output, and four-door design with a rear hatch. Of course, I'm sure there is quite a price premium for the BMW (you did not mention the price of this Stinger Tribute, but the BMW M440xi Grand Coupe goes for somewhere in the mid $60k range, USA pricing.
What an absolute garbage 🗑️ We shouldn’t have welcomed this KIA and let alone a goodbye. These are the cars that is keeping people poor in Canada. Our income to debt ratio is at the highest in Canada because of the poor quality cars we are constantly bombarded with. Bring back those GMs 3.8 V6, Ford Taurus from the 90s and even the Chrysler K cars…and the old Hondas from 80s and 90s. Nowadays even Hondas are building garbage with engine and transmission issues.
@@BrianMakse I never said cars keep people poor, what I had said was that this kinda of cars keep people poor. A Toyota or Mazda will not keep people poor because they last for decades unlike the garbage from KIA or Hyundai.

Agree and I too am a Genesis owner!
Love our 2020 stinger...great space out back as I haul my winters to a shop to change over the bridgestone AS's..thx.
LOTS of room under the hatch. That reminds me, do I need to shoot an episode about changing your own wheels and tires?
Going to miss the Stinger… AWESOME value for money.
Quite. It's a shame.
as a Kia owner and fan of this brand, I must say that is very sad that he doesn´t get a successor 😢. Thanks 😀
Can you imagine how good a second gen would be?
@@BrianMakse yeah it would be very good, maybe with the new 3.5 L TT V6 48 V mild Hybrid and over 400 HP and with the 8 speed wet Clutch Transm.

I’ve never driven an Arteon, so I can’t comment. Still, the Stinger is a hidden gem.

Excellent comparo, very similar cars. We explore ‘this or that’ questions over in the Members section.
$57,065 MSRP for AWD version of Tribute
Always liked but would never buy...
Your seat looks too close to the steering wheel.
