@@Paras-ot2qo Lenovo spent years building the yoga name to mean 2 in 1. I always associated yogas to be a tablet or 2 in 1. They could have just as easily used the Ideapad branding to mean normal laptop.
Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid off thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives who relocated and rented or purchased new homes just to join the US sales organization during the digital boom of the pandemic and increase in business for them, forcing them to lose their homes and become homeless. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.
I have the last gen version of the yoga as a college student it’s great does a little bit of everything and the panel looks fucking amazing

I don't know man, have dealt with a lot of L13 Yogas, X1 Yogas, and X13 Yogas over the years and this didn't seem to be a widespread issue at all.

Lenovo Yoga genuinely used to be weird, still is.
It's their Testbed Series rather than Dedicated Flagship, Midrange or Budget Machine Dedicated Line
Watching this from my Yoga Slim 7 Pro.
Lenovo Thinkpads on the used market are my favorite laptops! So cheap and powerful! And i get to look like a teacher carrying around the thinkpad hahhaha!
Also normally still upgradable (SSD/HDD, RAM, WiFi/Bluetooth etc!)
I like HP.
Cheap with decent internals.
And rhe refurbished ones are a great pric3 with amazing internals.
Like 1 Tb ssd 16Gb ram and 3.4 ghz processor for less than 300 to 400 $
I hope this thing has mediatek wifi. Apparently about a year ago Intel banned OEMs from shipping AMD laptops with Intel WiFi chips, so the only options are Mediatek or Qualcomm (which I’ve had huge issues with)
I’m a thinkpad person because I need my pointing stick, but apart from the weird naming scheme with Yoga, I wish I can try to adapt to one

i got one of teh older ones ata pawn shop and its was sp snappy was 8th gen i6 but man teh screen looks awsome the touch part works great my wife wanted it so i gave it to her

It’s a nice design, bought one with the ultra 5 and 16gb ram. Used it for a week and didn’t like it and returned it. It’s very loud on idle sometimes and also gets hot on no load tasks. Not great at all for work and creation. On the other hand the display is very nice and crisp as well as the speakers are very good.

That's interesting... I have a Yoga 7 Pro (i7, rtx4050) and it's incredibly quiet. Really cool too, I can use it for hours. I can even play some games without the fans ramping up.

Not really a fan of the rounded corners of the screen. Specs seems fine though.
I have two problems with Lenovo Yogas.
1) The fan curve on these has always been awful
2) The screen ribbon cable always becomes loose due to the folding and it is a very intensive job to fix.
Very good question: Is the fan noise still an issue? I mean under full load ok, but casually surfing and some youtube video hopefully doesn't bring on the fan, right?
@@roger5727 nah, current yogas are whisper quiet. I just got the new Yoga Pro 9 in to test, and holy shit its amazing in every aspect. Thinkpad keyboard, premium design, lightweight, quiet, very performant whenever you want it to be, gaming, gorgeous MiniLED... Literally the perfect laptop.
My problem is the AWFUL build quality

Problem with lenovo is: They use AMD as a "cheaper option" and making "Intel the expensive one", thus people thinking again that AMD is the worse one.

shipping this AMD version with a max o f 16GB Ram is outrageous. This forces people who want a decent, portable and affortable premium laptop to buy their more expensive ones when they could have added a 32GB RAM option. It literally is no different than the intel version, even better in performance but 16GB RAM..
This isn't a Yoga! For me a Yoga is a laptop that can convert to a tablet and has pen support and great battery life. This is just a slim (and very low end) Legion laptop.

I don't know for sure but the fact that he unboxed it at the table but had to cutaway to the other set for the actual review tells me that one of the sponsors had a problem with what was said at the table initially.
