It’s been discontinued, I hope Jon made a buck promoting this product because for us this video is a waste of time.

Lack of availability my guy , amd isn't able to supply enough chips for all laptops from past 2 years. And Lenovo has been generally bad at making all models available everywhere

got it a couple weeks ago and had to send it back. insane coil whine. and one of the right speakers had some rattling in the low frequency spectrum. i was so sad

My brother and grandmother both have a Yoga and both had the screen break/pop in the bottom right, delaminating and killing the touch. They make great designs but I find their products hard to trust build wise, and miss the old days of durable ThinkPads.

I would use the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 for work and study for my master's degree. It is a very versatile computer that allows me to take it everywhere and do everything I need in the easiest way.
Would be perfect for that!

Comparing this laptop to what i use this one is science fiction for me. This one would be perfect for work because looks very light and you can bring it everywhere with you.

I got the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Gen 8 with the Ryzen 5 7640S so basically same laptop just the Ryzen 5 model and the battery life is better but i wouldn't say 10 hours for sure. I have battery saver mode enabled and 60hz on and i would get a absolute max of 7 hours. If you know anyways to extend that battery life please let me know.

amazing gift for my fiance who has a 10 year old laptop. The fan is noisy as hell and def needs to be replaced. She loved Lenovo and def needs to be upgraded.

I have been eyeing the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 for a while. I think it’s the best ultrabook you can have as it is so incredibly light and slim which is going to be perfect for my work! Please pick me!
Lenovo has a major quality problem. Used to love them and defended them against any headwinds in the company and/or customers. But my Yoga 7 slim hardly runs 3 hours on battery with light office work and browsing. Lenovo hotline claims that would be the same with every other laptop this powerful as well and therefore the promised 15 hours are just a lie because any other manufacturer would lie too. The fans are spinning for no reason at 41’c temperature and no cpu or gpu usage according to task manager. Bios update made it worse. Colleagues have similar issues as well so we will move away from Lenovo now in the company (250 devices) since Lenovo is unwilling to address our concerns in a proper fashion.
Everyone I know (myself included) has had issues. Both my brother and my grandmother had their bottom right corner delaminate and pop off, making touch no longer work. My Lenovo Tab P11 Pro keyboard had a defect and I couldn't reach them. I'm done with Lenovo.
What region are you in?
I want to get one of these to use as a Linux workstation. I really hope this laptop will run Linux without any issues... 🤔

1. Familiarity
2. Ease of use.
3. Open source.
4. The open source community/philosophy
5. Coding (low barrier to entry)
6. Customizability
7. Educational value (always learning)
8. Ease of updates
9. Choice (of distros and desktop environments, of file managers, etc...).
It's hard to explain - there's no single reason. One example, here's Linux from 11 years ago running on an Intel Core 2 Duo (the recording is pretty bad, but you get the idea):

I love that I'm not subjugated by a third party (especially a third party like Microsoft). I once had an issue with a new laptop not waking after sleep - I just dug in to the source code and fixed it.
I also just don't like Windows, it just annoys me (probably because I'm so used to Linux). And I don't trust Windows. If I had to use a proprietary OS, I'd probably use MacOS (or I'd stop using computers altogether).
I know Linux isn't for everyone, but it fits me like a glove 😉

For me, i was looking for so long for a versatilelaptop that can do both moderate intense tasks and soft ones while having a great battery and screen. Indeed, those two are really important for a creator on the go that do soft photoshop and some coding for school too! That's why i will go for the Lenovo yoga slim 7 having already experienced the high quality of the Thinkpad.

Refresh rate of Lenovo yoga is, just amazing. I rented a laptop for an AutoCAD project and the graphics was just detailed to the pixel.
