Cant wait for the review and score!!!!
Just caught the replay as unfortunately I could not join the livestream earlier today. Excellent work as always Andrew! 👍😁
Andrew! Thanks for posting this video
Thanks Andrew for your work🙏
Awesome review Andrew
Great video as always my friend! Will you be getting the Thinkpad X13 Gen 5 at any point do you know? Many thanks.
You`re doing great AMD. Thumbs up for one of the best review channels in YT. Considering the pricing here in Germany around 2499€ with your specs shown. Not the cheapest laptop but good in quality
really hope to see you make a review of Lenovo Yoga pro 7 gen 9!!
Looks like the perfect laptop for me 😊
it is a great review Andrew . what is the score for this laptop ?
This guy is making me addicted.
How were the blacks on the display were they deeper blacks then last year's model I receive my unit this week hope battery is way better
Very nice laptop!
Will you be checking out the new Pro 7?
Andrew, do you use this macbook pro as your main laptop? Just curious.
Please review lenovo yoga pro 7 2024 with AMD ryzen 7 8845Hs + 3050 6GB.
Do you necessarily need 2 thunderbolt 4 to plug in 2 displays 5k@60hz ? Or is one enough when using the caldigit ts4 dock ?
Zenbook 14 OLED, yoga 9i pro, or zenbook duo?
Which one did you like better Yoga Pro 9i or Zephyrus G16?
In my case both with the same specs core ultra 9, 32gb ram, rtx 4060.
The Yoga has the touch Mini-LED while the G16 has the OLED. The G16 is around 100$ more expensive.
Thanks Andrew, appreciate it!
Hello, nice review. Just wanted to tell that setting speakers to anything but Music preset (Balanced, others cut out mids) severely cuts off bass response, so comparisons made here didn't showcase the full capabilities of Lenovo's speakers.
Can you please make a comparison in your next livestream?
can a lenovo pen be used if you got the multitouch screen?
Hey Andrew! So far LOVE your channel, and love your content! I was just devating what your were talking from 1:21:00 and you are right. I am just trying to get out from Apple ecosystem by getting windows computers but they are a major disappointment. I tried with the latest zenbook DUO screen and Lenovo Slim PRO 16".
I think this would be another +4 years using IOS systems.
It doesn't look like much has changed compared to the 2023 model.
One issue with this laptop is that it has an HDMI 2.0, not an HDMI 2.1, which means that it can't do the highest bandwidth.
Wasn't able to catch up the live stream so catching up now. Great video as always.
On a side note, do you think the 170W power brick might be slightly underpowered in a combined CPU+GPU load scenario, like simulations especially since 4050 here is configured to pull upto 100W.
It is if you are under performance mode + heavy-GPU task at 80-100W. I have posted this issue on Lenovo subreddit. 230w psu solved this
@@A4Louisdebou I see. Thanks for the clarification. Also, do you happen to have an idea about peak power draw of the CPU? Is peak TDP 65W or 115W or something else?
For Ultra 9 185H, CPU can take something like 80W. But it’s only if the GPU is not under heavy use and you are doing something very intensive.
From my experience CPU is most of the time in the 12-50W range depending on what you are doing
@@A4Louisdebou Thanks again for the insight. It makes sense as well since the chasis and the heatsink design for this laptop is definitely not adequate for removing 200+ watts worth of heat generated but even 80W on a CPU-bound workload seems good enough and plenty for almost all use case scenarios.
@@BhardwajMayank Correct me if i'm wrong but I remember when I watched an intel lecture a few weeks ago the 185H is a 45W CPU
It looks like an amazing build quality, great port selection and a nice screen from Lenovo. Cost is around 2150 EUR here in Spain *but* the cost for the next business day *onsite* support and priority parts or FOUR YEARS is only 411 EUR extra - that's a great deal for business users and not many manufacturers offer this. FYI for the 2024 flagship TV panels Sony has switched away from OLED to Mini LED, maybe we have passed peak OLED. And nice play on the multiple Macbook Pro SKU comparisons, I would keep mining that thread on your reviews because that's what business people want to know, others just keep comparing the base Apple SKUs and that's not what people are necessarily interested in. If you want to put the cherry on top, get the cost for support added into your reviews for business laptops. As you know Applecare plus is not cheap but it is essential. Macbook Pro sound signature on the speakers is better. Asus in 3rd. The keyboard in the Asus is not in the same level neither.
i think, in future sodimm and soldered lpddr memory for laptops will be replaced with lpcamm module(based on lpddr) memory
I wish they would have released the 14 inch version too, sadly no 14 inch of pro 9i this year.
😃 I was in the live stream
Andrew I was laughing my a** off when you said 'Don't invide Taipei, when I'm there, HHAHHAH'
Are you sure that slot on the left is for a 2nd ssd? I don't see where you'd screw it in. When I talked to their customer support they told me there was just one ssd slot on this which is the primary. It also looks too small for a second drive to fit in that space. Can you confirm Andrew?
Looking into it
Still annoyed I could not get my Slim 9i in tidal teal last year.
Andrew is right with the second ssd slot. Just updated mine recently.
@@fabiansollner2473 thank you for confirming!
Does this have USBC charging as well as the proprietary charging port?
Yes, I just confirmed on my model. I am trying to figure out the exact USB-C Speed. On my 65W charger it charged only a bit slower than my 140W Slim Pro 9i charger. So my guess is around 85-100W max, I will try and confirm what it actually is with a wall power monitor.
It's funny how release dates work. Because I just ordered this model with 32 gigabytes of RAM, RTX 4060, mini LED screen and it's showing up Tuesday. I'm in Canada.
U prob got last year's model
I was stunned when I received this one, 16 inch MiniLED madness with amazing speakers! I got the non touch version and it came with a matte display! If this had haptics, it would be perfect. I dont understand Lenovo putting haptics randomly in their laptops, Thinkbook 13X, Carbon X1? But not their best Yoga. Such a shame.
I don't see an option to buy a mini led matte. Do you think that's just special to your sample??
so are we confirming that the 4070/64GB RAM model will be debuting in the USA and North America on May 9th? Currently that model is not available in the US.
Not sure about the 4070 version, but I think the 4060 one will be. Typing on it rn
Freaking finally
is it also come with ultra 7 choice?
This is Core Ultra 7 155U
can not order the version 64 gb 14 inch RTX 4070 Version . Can you please help ?
Looking into availability
WTF 2024 is year of screen wobbling or WHAT? why every unreally costly laptop have this harsh screen wobbling?
Waiting for thinkpad X1 2 in 1 2024
Will there be 14 i ch version of this?
From what i heard there wont
It offers a lot for the money.
1700 dollars in U.S. and 3000 euro in europe
Mini led Flickers
Just got the 4070 with 64 gb, but be aware, the display of 4070 is matte, and i think for 4060 as well, not glossy
Glossy touch screen mini LED inc 4070 and 64GB ram became available to order on western europe Lenovo sites last week.
@@robmck6573 , here in Romania nope for the moment, i will return my matte display if will be available glossy, for sure.Thank you so much for the tip 🙏
@@codrutpanaitescu5586 I ordered mine last Thursday with the top spec and glossy screen in the UK. The only option missing from this spec was the Tidal Teal, so had to go with the Grey but thats no deal breaker. Estimate for dispatch is 2 to 3 weeks.
@@robmck6573, enjoy it, this is a spectacular leptop, i have it for 1 week and i adore it in therms of performances. Cheers
@@codrutpanaitescu5586 4060 is glossy, source - typing on it rn
This vs samsung galaxy book4 pro 360
I can tell this is so much better. I will talk about that in the full review
Yo the speakers
HDMI 2.0a
Want to stand out from the other RUclipsrs? Test USB-C charging claims (with a variety of different brands, Anker, UGREEN, Hyper, etc.) & thunderbolt/USB4 dock compatibility. Then, compare it to how the Macbooks handle it. I don't understand why reviewers routinely skip over this.
Spoiler: the Windows laptops are extremely inconsistent whereas the Macbooks will handle anything you give it (right down to a 5 watt iPhone charger).
Please review lenovo yoga pro 7 2024 with AMD ryzen 7 8845Hs + 3050 6GB.
