Upgraded from the 12 Pro to the 15 Pro Max. I love the Blue Titanium Colour, the 120 Hz, bigger 8GB RAM, brighter outdoor screen, more powerful speakers and better battery life. The max doesn’t even feel too heavy or bulky for me this year because of the new material!!
Been loving it so far and now I can’t go back. I agree the overheating issues were overblown, I haven’t experienced any myself since using the device weeks ago.

This is my first time using a pro model, it does get little warm for very small usage like Google maps or being on a phone call for 5 mins. Is it normal to have the phone getting warm?

Same, went from the 12 pro to 15 pro max and tbh, forgot there was supposed to be a weight difference. However, mine was overheating when I was barely setting it up and transferring my data to the new phone. Updated it as soon as I could and haven't had it get hot since.
The only ones claiming the phone is not great are the ones that upgrade every year. I’m upgrading to the 15 PM I have the 11 since 2020

I feel like Apple makes the iPhones design similar bc they want you to feel at home and not think your previous iphone is trash, i mean look at the 7 and 8 , 11 and 12 , 13 to 14 to 15 , its all abt psychology 💟 bc they still sell them thts why i prefer 🍎 Apple . Its less that, and more about brand unity. Anyone who looks at the back, even if it has a case on it, will know its an iphone. Depending on the camera bump, they'll know if its a regular or pro/pro max model.
Car companies do something simular. Look at mercedes sedans. Everything from their A-class to the S-class has a somewhat unified look. And the shapes aren't drastically different between generations

I'm at 13 Pro right now and was debating for a long time whether to upgrade. Really feeling FOMO on the new camera, action button, and USB-C but I think I'm going to wait one more year and save up a little more before upgrading.

13 is a great great series as well. When you do upgrade you will be happy but 13 is still fantastic.
Yea had my 13 pro max for 2 years and still going strong. Only thing is battery health is at 88%. But it can easily last one more year
I had the iPhone 13 Pro, and it is an awesome phone. My son has it now and loves it. I upgraded to the 15 pro max for the camera and the bigger screen (the lighter weight was big for me). It's been a great upgrade, but that 13 Pro is still awesome!
You’re a good dude. Upgraded from 12 PM to 15 PM. It’s been a great experience so far with no heating issues. Love the action button menu and new camera/video features. A 3+year cycle seems worthwhile to me.
12 PM here and on the fence about going Pro or Max again. How’s the 15’s battery life last compared to the 12’s, assuming your usage is the same?
If you got a 12PM, 15pm will be better hands down. Your 12pm probably has 85% capacity or so. It happens

One You Tuber that I watched even said that the overheating issue was that Instagram was causing the problem and had nothing to do with the device itself. Once the app updated the issue went away.

Using iOS 17.0.3 on my iPhone 15 Pro. Overall performance and battery have been great. I have not experienced any of the overheating issues that seem to have everyone so concerned. At this point, I have been curious if these initial reported issues were repeating or simply isolated to the set-up of individual devices.
My battery life has been good to great, ranging from heavy use to moderate activity.
My preference is with the size and pocket able 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro. I easily get an all-day battery with plenty to spare after a busy day.
I am enjoying the upgrade. So far I have no regrets.

Great video. You are a man of integrity which, is hard to find in the review space. It must be VERY difficult when you know not only does Apple NOT pay you for reviews like other manufacturers, they won’t even give you FREE review units GDmit! Once you also realize the vast majority of viewers do NOT own Apple devices, the math must pressure many to go over to the “dark side”. You hung in there long enough doing honest reviews to eventually build your channel and get paid. There’s so much money and free products to be had on the Android and PC side I honestly respect you and a few others who don’t “feed the beast”.

I just upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro Max, though its large its not too heavy due to Titanium body. What i love on this phone are the Speakers, Camera, and of course the Type C Port. Im still not used to the action button, im pressing it accidentally every time i want to increase the volume while my phone is in my pocket.
17.0.3 was great and after updating I get even more amazing battery life on my iPhone 15 pro and the benchmark scores are still great. Not at all surprised it was software, this has happened on iPhones before.

Coming from a 12pm and I must say that I’m loving the battery life , the pro motion display makes me flinch at how lightning fast it is, the cameras-having cinematic mode-48 megapixels -while also having the amazing upgrade in night mode and stability is more than enough also the speakers and screen brightness are both amazing ….its sooo much more I could say but I’m not going to keep typing but 10/10 would recommend

Great video. I downsized and am enjoying it. I was expecting the battery life to be worse in my daily use. Today was the first day in about 10 days that I needed to charge a little at 6 pm. Anyway, I was expecting this and had a battery charger pack at hand. For me, the occasional recharge is so far way better than using the larger phone that was becoming increasingly cumbersome.

@@devin2355 I came from a 14pro max. I tried a pro size and found the screen to be adequate. OTOH, I found the max to be cumbersome to carry around in pockets etc. It was heavy as well. I could no longer justify the size for the increased battery life. I know the camera is now different but am increasingly aware of the law of diminishing returns. I had jumped from 12pro max to 14 pro max. I went for the 15 to downsize.

I did the same thing Curtis, I downsized to the 15pro instead of getting the pro max, I was concerned at first for the battery life,but I must say it’s holding up well. I took it off charged at 5:30am it’s 5:14pm now and I have 44% left & 5hrs of screen time. Not bad at all!
Thanks for the honest review. Even the more honest reviews keep hyping up the heat “issue”. I don’t have Instagram or Snapchat period, so I’ve been fine. The Max is so fast and so efficient. Some old games like Galaxy on Fire 2 run amazingly and the phone doesn’t even get warm! I will say that connecting to a USB monitor to test Netflix does get it toasty.
I was dispersed after seeing those durability tests results. I have already ordered and thought of canceling it but after your review I am thinking of getting it. I have been using 7 plus 😅 since these years. I had no admiration to upgrade but I feel it’s time now to upgrade.

I have to tell you ... that you are the one channel that I always know you are right to the point. More importantly, I know I can trust your reviews as being unbiased and from a real day to day user's point of view. I watch A LOT of Apple and tech channels for whatever I'm considering buying. When it is time for the new iPhone models I probably go way OVERBOARD with how many different channels I watch for review videos of the model I'm considering. I've been frustrated with a few of content creators as they have been trying everything in their power to find that "major flaw". Now I realize that a lot (but not all channels) do over exaggerate any "*insert term* gate" that they want to focus on for views. You give your viewers practical feedback, tips and real honest reviews. I'm sure I speak for all of your subscribers, that I/we appreciate the time you take to give us great/honest content. I noticed that it’s quite a bit faster opening apps the lightweight is great, and the smaller bezels are very noticeable. Specially, with my pitaka case … for me it was a huge upgrade. I absolutely love my phone. It’s amazing.

I’ll admit in having a hard time adjusting to a smaller phone but it is my first 120 hz display and the best cell phone camera system I have ever had. No issues at all work over heating or bugs. Things that piss me off is that people do a "durability test" doing dumb shit like dropping it on concrete or trying to brake the glass like yeah no shit what a shocker if you abuse your phone and try to brake it its probably gonna brake. I’ve been with Samsung since the galaxy mini and up to the z fold 3, but Apple have done enough changes and software changes for me to want to get the 15pro max

@CJKnowsTECH I just got my iPhone 15 pro max and since I had it on charge and transferred my stuff over from my other phone there was no heating whatsoever so just that I can confirm all the information around is all for views and battery is great

Also, I hate cases. LOL! I’m using my 15 pro max with no case. I’ve dropped it one time on the floor as I was standing up. Not a scratch or dent. It’s no where near as super fragile as some are trying to claim for views.

Honestly the new rounded edges make the 15 pro max so much easier to hold than years prior. I literally have no issues holding it at all and often use it one handed. I go caseless too this year and I’m loving it. I didn’t have a single overheating issue until the night before the new update released where on a 5 minute phone call my phone got insanely hot and killed 10% battery. Super weird but it’s been great ever since.

@@7860092not nearly as much as the stainless steel iPhones did. Every now and then I’ll notice a few here and there but it’s really not that noticeable. The fingerprint issue was overblown on social media.

That’s what I always wondered about android. I owned the S10+, Fold 3, and the S22+ and I always had to download 3rd party apps to do common things such as sending high quality videos and photos, video calls and even sending one long paragraph of a text message. Like these are priorities of a phone and not 8K cameras and 200MP and 100 zoom etc. Can Samsung focus on the phone functionality first? It’s annoying.

Not only instagram most of the third party apps are not optimised for 15 series thats the reason why this models are overheating, most of the you tuber don't know anything about phone they are making videos only for earning money they don't have any technical ideas also drop test is subjective it's depend on angle , surface type and hight everything.

Coming from the 12pro max HUGE difference, yea I did notice heat issues and still occasionally notice it getting hot but the biggest thing I’ve noticed is how short my battery life is on my watch ultra 1st gen.
Overall. I’m really happy with the upgrade plus the little screen up top where the camera is. Pretty neat.

I hope that Apple heeds the advice offered in various battery test videos, striving to enhance the battery life of future iterations of the iPhone 15 Pro. It's puzzling why this issue wasn't identified during the development phase. I'm considering purchasing the iPhone 15 Pro, but the battery life concern could be more apparent. My usage is limited, as I only use a few apps, play games, or stream videos. However, the cost of the iPhone 15 Pro is a significant hurdle. Even the base model with Apple Care included amounts to a staggering $1,500, tax included. This seems excessive for a device that serves as a phone and a camera. For some, that's equivalent to an entire month's rent!
I watched one RUclipsr do the toughest antutu benchmark test and fast charge from 5% at the same time. Then conclude the 17.0.3 update didn’t work!! 🤦♂️

One thing I’ve not seen talked about, is the screen heating up. I’ve not had any of the talked about heat issues, none at all, but the other day i was shooting a couple of mins of HDR video and straight afterwards my screen was too hot to make a call. My new 15 pro max hit the floor hard. No breaks. Been up this morning watching all types of videos and shows. No heating issue nor battery issue. Pray it stays that way. Trying to get use to action button.

Upgraded to 15 pro max from the iPhone X. The good little phone lasted me 6 years and still is a great phone. But the inability to upgrade to iOS 17 was a forceful push to get a new phone. And I’m so glad I got this phone. It is so nice in every way, the feel in hand is just amazing. I didn’t have it out of a case for long at all, but apples new mag safe cases are sweet as honey. I got the pacific blue as I got the blue titanium. From videos looking so good to filming videos, this phone is supreme in every way. If people like Samsung or pixel phones that’s great. But I love this phone and will for many years to come!
