I'm not a fan of real time strategy games. They're sort of the bane of my existence. So it's a major surprise that I actually count one of them among my all time favourite games! Crazy how people have those one or two games that fall outside their usual genre! For me it was Dawn of War and X-Com. I’m not usually into strategy games either but they both just had me so hooked that the genre didn’t matter. I’m glad Dungeon Keeper 2 brings you comfort and let’s you step outside your usual games from time to time! Keep up the great work! :)

6:49 flying units can also traverse lava, like the Firefly, Feary while the Vampire can do it when you possess them and morph them into bats

12:00 haha, I usually do the same, it's aesthetically pleasing to built the dungeon in a designed way, it's quite rare to achieve it in the main campaign in the late levels, thanks to Dwarfs, predug tunnels that you can't see, gold tiles and indestructible rock tiles always being in places that deny a simmetric room arrangement and of course magical items being placed in ways that ruin your room arrangement

1:12 That's a pre-release trailer showing footage of the game early(ish) in development. The released game is actually quite different (they actually scrapped the entire game and restarted from scratch), and much more like the second game than what you see there.

also, there is a bug with the newest versions of the game where certain creatures don't spawn at all on certain campaign levels despite building their required rooms, like Goblins don't spawn on level 5 and quite a few others, Rogues, Fireflies, Black Knights, Dark Angels barely spawn on any level other than their introductery level for some reason
in case this bothers you (it certainly bothered me, I like to have at least 1 from each type per level), here is a link that shows you how to fix it, it's pretty simple, just download a file and unzip the content to whereever the originals in your DK 2 folder are and replace them:

when you have all 4 Horny talismans and are able to summon him, whenever you reach sufficent mana (100K) he will say "you have my allegiance Keeper, don't abuse it", that's the only time he says anything I believe
also, not Mistresses in the final level??? what a sin, easily the best early level units, though their health is rather low
