Clara says Get up off your Arse’ in heaven sent, bill and nardole often made reference to kicking arse, but it still hits amazingly different when Donna shouts it.
It’s likely a step too explicit for the show to outright use it, but they did also imply Bill saying ‘no shit’ in 10x02 and that she was going to beat the shit out of Nardie for being in on the fake out regeneration in 10x08. Obviously, that’s slightly different than it being out right said, but I think it’s fair to say the show has at times had its moments of fairly strong language. Though I suppose that (from memory, newer series may be different) given a lot of the series were rated 12, use of words like ‘arse/bitch’ are generally permissible, and I guess the argument is from Harbo also that some bits of language have become a bit more frequent in family oriented in more recent times - ala some marvel movies (the obvious r-rated ones aside).
I remember the moment when Bill said that. I have never laughed so hard with any comment and moment in anything I have seen since Outrageous Fortune, when a drunk character vomited on the face of a cop rather graphically.@@ashleytuchin7693
Theory for how the specials tie together. Star Beast: The whole conflict of the episode is revealed as a setup. Beep the Meep is a toy to lure the Doctor and Donna back together. Wild Blue Yonder: The Doctor and Donna are lured into the Toyroom. In the climax the Doctor must choose to either save Donna by releasing the Toymaker or let her die. The Giggle: Having been released the Toymaker wreaks havoc on the earth and its up to the Doctor to save it.
Based on the trailer, I'm guessing that "The Wild Blue Yonder" gets its name because the "blue" TARDIS has gone "wild" and has ended up somewhere else ("yonder").
I predict that Donna will initially be able to interact with The Doctor without her memories of him coming back, with the obvious drawback that she has no idea who he is, and that the first episode will feature her having to get to know him all over again, with plenty of callbacks to The Runaway Bride of course, and then once they’re both in this Toymaker dimension, she will somehow get all her memories back, with the caveat that she will lose them again if they defeat The Toymaker.
I mean yea that would tug on the old heart strings. I agree that's what they tend to do with these specials. My hope is that, although you are probably right, they actual try and do something original and not so transpicuous...
At least we know it's happening in November. And personally I'd be okay if they'd keep it weekly leading up to the 23rd which is the actual anniversary date for Doctor Who. I say weekly because last time RTD did daily episodes with Torchwood Children of Earth; it didn't gel well considering we just had to wait 24 hours between episodes.
My theory is that Ncuti Gatwa will appear at some point in the specials but not as the 15th Doctor but as a watcher who will eventually aid in 14s regeneration and become 15 similarly to how 4 regenerated into 5 in Logopolis and how K'anpo regenerated in planet of the spiders.
The portal at 12:00 looks a bit like the time portal from The Sarah-Jane Adventures. The portal that Sarah-Jane went through to meet her parents. Obviously Sarah-Jane won't come back (RIP) but maybe one of her friends will. Probably not but it'd be nice.
The real question is will Murray Gold changes Donna’s song to “The not so rueful fate of Donna Noble” now that she gets retconned back into her memories.
On the point about Donna getting her memories back without exploding: I feel pretty confident that it won't be a super easy and unsatisfying almost-retcon; because if they were going to basically sweep it under the rug, I don't think they would have focused on explaining it in all the trailers as much as they have (15 year old Journey's End flashbacks and all!). Because of that I think it will have consequences somehow, or at least be narrativley satisfying in the end.
It's also been 15 years of lost memories, I think that's a heavy consequence on its own, even if they eventually return. Her grandfather died before she ever remembered the things they shared.
@@tjet34wilfred is going to be in the special. It was his last acting performance before Cribbins pasted. So we don't fully know he canonically dies before she gets her memory back. It will help the story if he does pass in universe but sarah jane is not confirmed dead in universe and her show wrapped up while she was ill but left it open ended. And the doctor doesn't know Sarah jane is dead at least at the time of before the flood b/c he has a note card apologizing for dropping her off in Aberdeen.
I quite like the idea that she can only remember fully while in the Celestial Toymaker's little world- and can't completely remember outside of it- but can remember small details. It seems like the kind of cruel thing he'd do: Allow Donna her full memories of everything, on the caveat that if he's defeated, she either Dies or is forced to forget everything all over again.
This trailer is the best one yet and while I was already excited, this one has definitely gotten me hyped and you can really see the bigger budget, it’s gonna look awesome
Yep, one of the benefits that have come from their Disney contract, I think Disney aren't interfering with creative control which means RTD who with a sizeable budget, Looking forward to this and the new season:)
The most exciting bit of this trailer for me is definitely Tenant, screaming and crying "Why did it have to be this?"! That 100% must be connected to his degenerated face!
To me this trailer illustrated that fourteen isn’t the tenth doctor. There is something about how Tennant is acting and delivering his lines that seems to be showing an older and tired feel to this incarnation. Like he’s channeling a little of Twelve. Of course I could be incredibly wrong when the specials air and he is just playing the tenth doctor with a colour swap. So far though it’s shaping up to be interesting.
Love that you always add Littleroot town into the mix. 2 big parts of my childhood always makes me smile when I hear that track. Also Missy said "tell em the bitch is back" was closest we had to more mature dialogue.
That leak would be worse than the Meta crisis Doctor, and miles worse than the Timeless Children. I really really desperately hope it doesn't become true, cause it would be beyond stupid. What better way to get people on board for the next series of Doctor Who than giving the next Doctor a random TARDIS and having YET ANOTHER 10TH DOCTOR CLONE, but this time even worse cause it's actually the Doctor, go off with the TARDIS we've known for 60 years? Yeah no f*ck that, most insane leak I've ever heard.
I think it’s an odd choice, but I could see them doing it. Similar to the Marvel leaks at the moment where they’re suggesting that post Secret Wars there’ll be a soft reboot so they can reintroduce Iron Man, Cap, Etc… the new RTD2 era seems quite heavily inspired by the MCU model already with talks of spin off shows that will crossover and the design of the UNIT tower 😂 I could see a world where the specials will serve as Doctor Who’s Secret Wars, allowing Russell to retcon anything he wants and giving him full creative control of the show going forward, positioning himself as a Feige-esque figure. I don’t love the idea, but I do love RTD1 so I’m intrigued to see however it plays out… 🤔
Why wouldn't you want Donna's memories to be back permanently? Is there not a part of you that would watch a Donna Noble spin-off where she has adventures on her own?
@@CineScarborough It would undermine the tragedy of the initial character departure, which was so well done. It’d be like the sort of thing Steven Moffat does where he gives a character a rlly powerful death scene only to bring them back and make it completely meaningless.
Not to mention that it was implied that she had the winning ticket in the lottery rollover, typically worth at least 100 million pounds. How did she end up back in her mum's flat again?
I think Martha is gonna show up as a big reveal, she's part of unit and RTD is using Donna and 10 being back as misdirection to have more OG characters back as a big reveal.
This trailer has me incredibly excited for these specials, but I do sincerely hope that the leak is wrong about how it'll end. I don't think there's a worse way you could go about passing the torch.
I have a sneaking suspicion based on the giant puppeteer toymaker scene. I have a feeling that everything from the regeneration forward is all an illusion or inside the doctor's head. None of it is real, and probably neither are any of the people, except the toymaker, who is crafting the show. This is taking place mid regeneration, and the doctor awakens after the toymaker is defeated, regenerated into Ncuti. The scene where 15 is shown opening his eyes, you can hear 13's exhale from when she began regenerating, and the background resembles the sunset on the cliff.
Regarding the force field scene, I think it looks like the force field is in the doorway and it's glowing at the Doctor's hand because he's touching it, rather than the Doctor generating the force field somehow. Also, regarding the two Doctor regeneration theory, I heard years ago that it would be the Thirteenth Doctor's regeneration that would lead to a split, so I wonder if Tennant and Gatwa's Doctors will exist at the same time (and be reunified by the end of the specials).
Someone on Tumblr pointed this out, but the TARDIS disappears all the fucking time- sometimes just because it feels like it or when the vibes are off (Ex, Curse of the Black Spot or Cold War when it just yeeted itself to the other side of the Globe), so I still find it very funny that the Doctor and Donna imminently jump to "Some big threat scared the TARDIS away" when really this happens seemingly every other week
One thing I found interesting is that in the announcement of Miriam Margolyes, they called her character 'The Meep' instead of 'Beep the Meep', which makes me think that the Meep in question won't actually be Beep. They've done stuff like this before, like how when Ncuti Gatwa was announced he was just called 'the New Doctor' instead of 'the 14th Doctor' to hide that he was actually playing the 15th Doctor and not the 14th.
I read a theory about that leak that it was going to set up 14 to be the valeyard, that could be an interesting way to handle it,but I don't think that leak will happen
It is a very sound theory and it does answer the question about the 50th Anniversary because it was said by the curator that he would be revisiting some of his old incarnations but only the favorites. One does have to remember that that statement was tantalizingly a very accurate statement so far considering the story so far. Why not Ruth is already Canon and it is shown to exist and it is a great way of explaining the concept of multiple incarnations exsisting in one place and one time and no problems. It would answer a multiplicity of plot holes and and further explain the concept that ruth is the doctor and that it is possible that the universe as the doctor says adapts to the situation no matter what it always seems to med itself and just becomes the universe that has 4 or 5 doctors. Why can’t a universe exists with donna as part timelord part human beings. Kind of like how it adapts to to even thing else 19:31
I believe the split regeneration leak will happen but will play out different with Ncuti being 15 and Roger Ap Gwilliam of the Albion Party being the other doctor a evil version
There is adult language in doctor who, when rose calls Casandra a bitchy trampoline, there’s others but only in the Moffat era like when River mouths bastard to the doctor in the husbands of river song, and missy says bitch twice
Seeing all of these characters back and even writers in like the title sequence/credits is going to send me into a frenzy alone, seeing the actual EPISODES is going to do what Vinegar does to the Slitheen
I remember someone (can't remember who but maybe Rachel Talalay?) saying something on Twitter or Instagram about a really cool scene involving a wall being destroyed.... I bet this scene at 15:00 is what they were talking about!
I predict donna will be almost killed by something but the Doctor takes the fall for her, thus saving her, but causing the regeneration of 14 to 15. I hope thats the case because if Donna dies I AM GOING TO COME TO BAD WOLF STUDIOS MYSELF AND DO A MOFFAT!
I'm still kinda glad The New TARDIS nor the new Sonic Screwdriver have been spoiled yet. And even though we know Donna will get her memories back, I'm looking forward to HOW she gets them back. I have no real expectations on how she gets them though. I'm just in it for the ride. ☺️✨ And the Wild Blue Yonder moments, the environments made me think of Gallifrey... I'm kinda dreading a return to Gallifrey mostly because it's starting to feel overused but at the same time underused; Moffatt and Chibnall didn't exactly use the planet well. And I'd be okay with a return Gallifrey that if it's just barren, no surviving Time Lords or anything. Maybe have it being haunted and stuff.
@@rileymartin2202 Yes in set photos which I've heard rumours of but not looked at. I'm talking about official trailers here, dude. Not leakers who are desperate to get attention and potentially get sued over it.
If beep the meep in the doctor who universe is officially evil and genocidal(instead of just reusing a character) it will be funny to see people who don’t know of that story when they see this cute thing become some evil monster 😂
I hope we see that iconic Mandarin robe the Toymaker wore originally, but I have a feeling we might not. It would be kind of odd if we don't, yet say this is the same character...
I would love to see the reunion of the Doctor and Donna as both a combination of the character of Donna/Human mind/ strong working class/ female...rejecting the memory loss...afeter all the Doxtor is always telling us we are amazing. And the Doctor guilt but, for the best of motives...If it is centred on Wilf"s passing....I will of course ball my eyes out crying...if this is what happens ...RTD is the person to do it
It’s amazing Donna had so much character development on season four only to have it taken away from her with the annoying mine white so it’s actually a good thing to get her mind corrected because why even have a character if you’re just gonna race your mind it’s just ridiculous no sense giving her a character development if it’s all undone, and the good thing is if that leak is true, that the doctor in Donna can go on adventures together after the toymaker in a separate timeline
It’s really good that they’re trying to fix Donna’s mind because that would be dumb to have her explode every time that she remembers the doctor so no I think it’s good that they’re trying to fix that bad ending
16:44 I can't tell whether that LEAK is worse or better than the Timeless Child! At least it doesn't retcon already established and objectively better canon backstory, but it would still be a monumentally stupid for them to do that! What a way to disrespect your upcoming Doctor! Regardless it definitely would be up there in terms of the dumbest and most unnecessary things the show has done! It honestly might just make me not want to actively watch S14, because of the sheer slap in the face that would be, to the previous 60 years of Doctor Who, and I was already apprehensive about it even before I heard about this leak!
Loved the “kick it’s arse” but. Reminded me of that Werewolf episode, which is the only episode that is a 12 certificate on the DVDs of the first three series (haven’t got the rest) and Rose calls someone a “lazy shit” This isn’t as cringe, though
I wouldn't be upset if Donna gets all her memories back, but if they do, she will have to die at the end of the specials or it will ruin the season 4 climax
I'm not caught up with all the particulars, but is anyone getting the vibe that "These 3 specials aren't actually happening, they're taking place in the Doctor's mind" as like a coping mechanism in between regeneration?
he behaves like the 13th and the master as it has screwed the doctor up he talks like 13th when the master took her body. Then I think 15th is in there.
please Davies or. Russell, don't create two doctors like the metacrisis ones ,that Will make no sense, just make them meet and fuse and then is 15,please two doctors are better when is a time travel story or in Journey s end (mentioned earlier)
I think the reason we haven’t got a date is because they can’t promote it on Disney due to the SAGAFTRA strikes, so they won’t be able to show the trailer on there if they have a date on it…
I think many fans will be disappointed if Wild Blue Yonder is a small character piece. Most of us are expecting a full-on nostalgia fest with returning Doctors and companions because of how secretive Wild Blue Yonder has been.
@@DBProductions12345-m So much this. Something fans really need to learn is that "secretive" is not the same thing as "hiding massive bombshells." No one should be going into episode 2 with expectations different from those of episodes 1 and 3.
I think it's just typical RTD's story writing: the things are seriously bad, some big old enemy of the Doctor has already conquered the Earth. It seems there is no hope . How is the Doctor gonna save humanity again? Simple, REVERSE IT! (He maybe lost a companion, or regenerate or maybe both) But we are gonna LOVE IT!!!

I think him blocking bullets is a force field and not him emitting it
I predict donna will be almost killed by something but the Doctor takes the fall for her, thus saving her, but causing the regeneration of 14 to 15. I hope thats the case because if Donna dies I AM GOING TO COME TO BAD WOLF STUDIOS MYSELF AND DO A MOFFAT!
Do a Moffat?
@@Adamairball "ruin everything"
@@AdamairballA deus ex machina occurs and the companion lives on (Clara and Me, Bill becoming a sentient nanomachine goop)
@@thesilverchippy Ahhh, ok. Got it! Thanks! 👍
@@pepg2806 Chibnall ruined everything imo.
Just over a month left and I can't wait
Just got to this one in my watchlist, wow, that was quite a leak... Imagine if I had gotten to this one yesterday
I'm still kinda glad The New TARDIS nor the new Sonic Screwdriver have been spoiled yet. And even though we know Donna will get her memories back, I'm looking forward to HOW she gets them back. I have no real expectations on how she gets them though. I'm just in it for the ride. ☺️✨
And the Wild Blue Yonder moments, the environments made me think of Gallifrey...
The tardis was spoiled ages ago and the screwdriver got shown already
@@rileymartin2202 Yes in set photos which I've heard rumours of but not looked at. I'm talking about official trailers here, dude. Not leakers who are desperate to get attention and potentially get sued over it.
You do know that they literally officially revealed the new sonic right???
We already have The Metacrisis Doctor with Rose. I agree that we don't need another version of him running around. 15 needs a proper regeneration.
We'll probably get release dates in Late-October/Early-November, probably October
The energy looks like vortex energy to me
If beep the meep in the doctor who universe is officially evil and genocidal(instead of just reusing a character) it will be funny to see people who don’t know of that story when they see this cute thing become some evil monster 😂
Is NPH wearing the same clothes as Tennant under the apron (minus the bow-like) tie 🤔
Is there any significance to the license plate around 0:43? I cannot read it but was wondering if some type of hint…
And the Doctor guilt but, for the best of motives...If it is centred on Wilf"s passing....I will of course ball my eyes out crying...if this is what happens ...RTD is the person to do it
That ending couldn't be worse, unless it's some Toymaker fantasy.
Donna will regenerate, that's the feeling I have about Donna. And the leak sound to prove that point
5:31 i shouldn’t have watched this, I had no idea it’s evil 😮
What's with the Nintendo mii music
Also are tounsuinf runcsape video in the background
It’s really good that they’re trying to fix Donna’s mind because that would be dumb to have her explode every time that she remembers the doctor so no I think it’s good that they’re trying to fix that bad ending
My goodness you are fast
He Mentions a huge spoiler about Beep the Meeps future character arc from the comic I did not know about FYI. 😢
Are you the villain in wild blue yonder
Tbf them coming out over four days would break the UK TV system
Kate is also wearing a similar coat to the one in the 50th
Ayyy I'm one of the first on this video, thanks youtube, great content bro 👌 👏
What if the villain for wild blue yonder is omega and that's why the doctor is so scared along with the tardis
I'm going to say it. I think that Ncuti plays two roles and starts off as a human who dies whose appearance the Doctor takes as tribute.
It's all very exciting, but we're so close with no release date! I must know :p
Loved the “kick it’s arse” but. Reminded me of that Werewolf episode, which is the only episode that is a 12 certificate on the DVDs of the first three series (haven’t got the rest) and Rose calls someone a “lazy shit”
This isn’t as cringe, though
I think the reason we haven’t got a date is because they can’t promote it on Disney due to the SAGAFTRA strikes, so they won’t be able to show the trailer on there if they have a date on it…
Disney can promote it as much as they want. It’s just the writers and actors that can’t promote anything
@@tobesxd Yeah, but if you can't do interviews and things, there's no point in promoting it...
@@Jamestopboy you mean theres no pooint in getting people to.. watch the show?

SPOILER ALERT!
I had no idea who this Beep character was. Now the 'surprise' is ruined. Some of us have not read the comics, novels, etc
Major spoiler on Meep - with no warning.
Thanks for that. 😞
I think many fans will be disappointed if Wild Blue Yonder is a small character piece. Most of us are expecting a full-on nostalgia fest with returning Doctors and companions because of how secretive Wild Blue Yonder has been.
That's kinda on you at that point though (as in the fans just wildly expecting every and anybody to show up)
@@DBProductions12345-m So much this. Something fans really need to learn is that "secretive" is not the same thing as "hiding massive bombshells." No one should be going into episode 2 with expectations different from those of episodes 1 and 3.
@@BlueSparxLPs It's an anniversary though. It's natural to expect at least one episode to be a total nostalgia-fest.
14 and 15 splitting apart probably came about due to the show's writers remembering Chibnall's mess and wanted to restart everything
There's two Tennants now because Chibnall was such a bad writer that they needed to have a second RTD era just to make the show likeable
I wish RTD wasn't going to egnoleged The Timeless Child, as it was a stupid episode
I think it's just typical RTD's story writing: the things are seriously bad, some big old enemy of the Doctor has already conquered the Earth. It seems there is no hope . How is the Doctor gonna save humanity again? Simple, REVERSE IT! (He maybe lost a companion, or regenerate or maybe both) But we are gonna LOVE IT!!!
good doctor who is finally back!
I don't think it would be a human who would be able to fix Donna Noble's mind -- so do we think RTD would be bringing back The Rani as a surprise?
Honestly I wish the protagonists would stop slapping each other.
It would be helpful if you showed the trailer before talking about it.
Doctor Who is going to come here and save Disney XD
