Kristofferson told Jerry Lee his version of Bobby McGee is his favorite. Still reeling from the huge loss of Jerry Lee. Am here in Louisiana and just a couple of hrs from Ferriday wch brings it even closer to home. So very sad. Thank God for You Tube so we can listen again & again to all his life's work.

    • @happydays8171

Left handers signals go right to the right, creative side of the brain. When we're doing our creative things, our brains lose all track PF time, an hour can go by in 5 min, and we've been in a natural high. A book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" explains it better than I can.

    • @Chrisspruce1

I realize this comment is 12 YEARS late.
      I’m a natural lefty.
But as a guitar player I always figured my left hand was carrying the weight of forming complex chords.
My right was working with finger picking and actual PICKing.
But not as hard as my left.
      While I’m NO piano/keyboard player.
      (Only songwriting)
It seems to be the OPPOSITE.
The right hand is by far carrying the heavy work.🤷‍♂️

I love how each artist puts their own spin on this song, however this is my favorite version....there is so much going on with the melody. The song keeps getting better and better. I also like his rendition of Frankie and Johnny.

It's said that Jerry Lee can make any song a Jerry Lee Lewis song. I believe what they say.

There will never be another man like Jerry Lee Lewis, I remember hearing Jerry Lee so many years ago maybe the late 50's and I still get the adrenalin surge when I fondly listen to the best there's ever been that I know of................ that can sing and pump the piano like good old Lerry Lee Lewis in his prior 50 plus years of singing and a'playing the piano.
