I saw him in London in the early 60s in a small dinner room. I guess he was in exile. After 2 or 3 songs he asked for requests. There were 3 or 4 and he looked right over at me, sitting close by. I yelled out, "sing You Win Again". He lit up and nodded and sang it. I think he loved that song. It was always my favorite and although the great Hank Williams wrote it that song was destined to later be sung by Jerry Lee. He truly made it his own and Hank would be proud.

Hank William's “You Win Again” is one song that he performed at every live concert. He never played it the same way twice. That is true of all his live shows. Beyond genius. No training. Can’t read music.

Are you saying that Jerry Lee can't play the kind of piano that appear on your "CURTIS" videos of classical pieces ? If so YOUR WRONG !!! There is more to piano music than just Classical Music. Some of your live videos are Excellent (i.e. Nine Inch Nails,Taking Heads, The Who, The Kinks,+ a few more). But I must say the no. 25, by Sheeren ? Was one of the WORST SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD !!! (but I will save it) Do you think your pianist can play like THE KILLER ??? I DON'T THINK SO !!!

What made these early rock n' rollers so great was their connection to country. Think of any of the early Sun sessions and rockabilly crowd. Jerry Lee shows his heart belonged to country with this song. Rest in peace, dear Jerry. What an absolutely beautiful rendition.

This is my husbands most favorite song by Jerry Lee. If you all get a chance to hear You Don't Miss Your Water by him, you will hear one of the best he ever did. Which is my favorite. We've been following Jerry Lee since 1970. Seen him in person many times over the years. Best time ever was in Evansville Indiana. I got to sit on the floor right smack at his feet and got to watch him do amazing, awesome piano playing that NO ONE could ever come even close to. It was unbelievable what he did to that piano when he did boogie woogie. His hands were just a blur. I got tons of pictures that night to remember and never forget. God given talent for sure. Cookie

      You do talk shit!
Take a look at his gravestone!
      *********************************************
Elvis was named after his father, Vernon Elvis Presley, and Mr. Presley's good friend in Tupelo, Aaron Kennedy. Aron was the spelling the Presleys chose, either it was a spelling mistake or apparently to make it similar to the middle name of Elvis' stillborn identical twin, Jesse Garon Presley. Jesse was apparently named after Vernon's father, Jessie Pressley, (Yes there are two s') although the spelling was slightly different.
      *********************************************
Toward the end of his life, Elvis sought to change the spelling of his middle name to the traditional and biblical Aaron. In the process he learned that official state records had inexplicably listed it as Aaron, and not Aron as on his original birth records. Knowing Elvis' plans for his middle name, Aaron is the spelling his father chose for Elvis' tombstone, and it's the spelling his estate has designated as the official spelling when the middle name is used today. In Memphis, Elvis was enrolled in the eighth grade at Humes High School, as Elvis Aaron Presley.
