    Thanks for watching :) Do you incorporate reflections in your street photography?

      I've tried a few times with varying success, gauging where the sun is so that you don't get your own reflection in the frame and getting an interesting composition can be tricky, You know when you get into the zone and suddenly realise someone is staring back out at you, Yep done that too lol

    That's my next photo walk sorted, I was getting a little bored of the mundane light n shade. or architectural shots. It's true reflections do add interesting layers. Thanks for the tips Tim

    I see Mr. Saul leiter come alive ! Bravo Tim 👏👏 Thank you so much for this great episode and sharing. What are your mostly used go-to focal lens? (I have a feeling that you like to incorporate one mid-long focal lens into your bag).

      Aww that’s very kind! Glad you enjoyed the video. I switch between the Fuji 50mm f/2 and 35mm f/2 on an APSC camera :)

    I love this style of photography but I have a hard time finding good compositions with reflections. Def takes works/practice.

      Thank you Ryan! Yeah 100% I take thousands of experimental photos to get to one that I kinda like haha. Just gotta keep taking shots, getting inspiration and ideas, and taking shots

    This is my kinda of photography, I look for the aesthetic and shooting through things and off of reflected surfaces gives me the images I like (and hopefully others do too)

    Thanks Tim it was very enjoyable video to watch like all your RUclips videos. I am glad this video came up here which I must have last time not seen. It something I tried afew years ago in Southport with reflections I remember people looking at me wondering why I was standing in one place looking through a window my friend explained to them what I was doing 😮 hahaha 😂🤣

    Have to say Tim, I’ve watched and followed numerous RUclips photographers, their tips, and inspiration. I think I’ve finally found my real go to in your videos and well explained tips. Top man, keep up the good work. Itching to dust down my Fuji, and get out there. Thanks again for the inspiration.

    Great tips as usual!
    How do you manage focus in reflection photos? Do you rely on manual focus? Or how do you get your autofocus to focus on a remote human character instead of on anything that's on or beyond the window?

    • @timjamiesonphotos
      @timjamiesonphotos  2 месяца назад +1

      I always use autofocus on reflection shots, just experiment with a small single point and also try different aperture to get the look and focus I want :)

    Great video, it can be difficult in street photography to stand out with your images as the can look two dimensional, by adding other ways looking at composition your images can become unique.

    • @timjamiesonphotos
      @timjamiesonphotos  Год назад

      Thank you! Glad you like it. You’re totally right, very hard to stand out these days but reflections and abstraction can definitely help to give more uniqueness to your work :)
