At the end of the day mate it’s your channel and you upload what you want but I’m happy to see any content big jobs and small alike. You bring thought to all your jobs.
Hi, Im so glad you are raising the issue of mental health in our industry. Im a a mechabical engineer but been suffering for years now. \Thank you
Hi Pete. Dont care if the vids are 1 job or several smaller jobs, just grateful that you take the time every week to upload the videos. Ive been retired from the trade for over 8 years but its great to keep up with technology and developments in the trade
Love these vids, especially the small jobs/breakdowns, always interesting to seen how you troubleshoot & problem solve. Keep up the good work, really appreciate you taking the time to record edit & upload 👍
Coming from a breakdown background found this video really interesting the planning and thought into the installation. Definitely for me the mix of work videos with ones like this chucked in once a month is perfect.
Not the biggest fan of the highflows but seeing the ease of installation much better than the older version
Defo lots of little jobs and fault finding stuff is my favourite stuff, but it doesn't matter all the content is great 🤜
Cheers Stuart 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I like the mixture of both mate, I don't do many big installs so interesting to see them as well as breakdowns, and jobbing videos 👍🏽
Two brilliant engineers! Bring back for more he seems like a good laugh!
Cracking video. I like both big and smaller jobs - variety is the spice of life!
A mixture of both Pete, keep doing what your doing pal ,always a highlight on a Sunday evening
Nice work, very well explained some nice tips for the inexperienced.
Cracking job there! It’s good when it all works out ok.
Love these videos 👍 best part about Sunday and I prefer loads of little jobs in your videos, gives it variety
Thanks mate good to know
Prefer the mix of smaller varied jobs but enjoy the videos whatever. Thanks for taking the time to do them. Helps lift my enthusiasm for the week ahead👍
I quite like a bit of both. Nice to see a real full day and what it entails, but also good to see more interesting jobs, like complex install or fault finding, from start to finish.
Top work as always Pete, also loving the Trade Legends Pods as long as the guests don't keep banging the table!!!!
The explanations are great! Really enjoy the videos. I did something similar re-using cold feed and fill last Monday took out a Open vented tank and converted it to sealed system, they had issues with pumping over as the height of the tank was less than 250mm and heating never worked in 15 years. Bit of a win 👌🏻
brilliant vid m8 really enjoyed your explanation how you reused the old piping n how it all worked both big or small jobs you make them fun to watch
I don’t think I’ve never disliked a video you’ve done Pete, but I do prefer a mix of the plumbing and gas jobs to be honest.
I do both myself and I like to change it around myself during my working week.
Thanks for the video, I learn something every time.
For me i enjoy all of them large or small there's always something to learn ,thanks .
Anything really like it all problem solving and money saving for customers is good to see
I like both short videos and 1 long job videos. I would recommend doing both as this keeps the a good variety of content.
Tried to buy one of your service bags with discount code last Sunday it wouldn’t go through properly so missed out. Great stuff mate 👍
I love hospital clips, used them on my homemade heated towel rail.
Great vid mate keep it going I’m learning a lot from your videos with the tips and tricks
Any jobs big or small is fine, I like the planning, so any diagrams of planning is good. Re: Tallon pipe clips, you can get spacers/risers that just clip onto the base of clip to give more clearance if needed, also they do a link to keep two side by side clips evenly spaced, but I'm sure you know all that, just means another two items on the van. Keep doing what your doing, it's working well.
I want someday video with small jobs and in another day video about one job from start to finish
Great vid Pete. I like to see full install but i think a mixture of both. Look forward to #78
I think most of the time a few little jobs. But good to see the occasional complete job.
Nice neat conversion job to a Combi boiler Pete! well done to both of you, although personally I would not have used that Worcester Bosch . a Viessmann 222 Floorstanding Combi boiler sitting in that corner would’ve made that job like a much more quality easier to fit installation, They are really fast on the heat recovery time extremely quiet can fill a bath in no time and the low gas consumption is really impressive
Nice content Pete with a good finish as per 👍
Pete, the white clips you showed when comparing black/white clips used to be supplied/made by unifix . One of the first company’s to supply clip locks as opposed to the dog tooth clips which tend to lose their grip when used on hot pipes
I personally prefer lots of little jobs but enjoy your videos none the less.
Thank you mate, I do too to be honest
Ad of the content small jobs one week and big jobs the next, that way we know what's coming week to week. It's all good knowledgeable info so I enjoy watching it all. Many thanks regards karamat
Hi, to answer your question I like the variety of videos. Big jobs, small jobs. Always interesting...
Thanks Matthieu
Pete, I like both styles of video. Lots of short videos, allow you to see many situations that you can learn from. Then longer one job videos are also great to learn from as you go into more depth on pipe configurations and general installation tips. Keep both styles, but it's entirely up to you.
It was good to see how you guys approched this job.
Personally, I think the way you do things at the moment is great. I like the smaller job videos and the occasional full job video. The mix works well.
Another great video.
Nice job explaining with the diagrams. I watch all of these videos although I'm not a plumber. There's something therapeutic about it. I lived in a house once which was all done in 15 ml pipe. If you had the washing machine on the shower had no pressure upstairs and general low pressure. A lot can go through those 22 ml ones tho. Great pressure.
Probably not the answer ur looking for but I like both, little jobs are good because you show how to fault find and common faults with various things and also give good tips. Big jobs are good because you can see how you go about bigger jobs and it’s satisfying to see how neat your work is. All good for me to see as an apprentice 👍🏻
I like all your videos, don't have any preferences as long as I can learn something out of it, thank you for taking the time to create this, I wish you could show flue from outside as well, but you haven't finished the job so hopefully I might be able to see on future videos.
I like all of your videos, because you are in them 😁
Great content PB👍👍
I would say, In my humble view, you should do the jobbing weekly and maybe a big job monthly. I like watching both.
Love all your videos mate, even the talking rants you do as can relate some times.
I do maintenance for education board (schools) and love the calls that you can get done there and then (the bread and butter 1s) but love a toilet refurbishment or Boilerhouse. But hate the ones that someone did something to a system and another guys says he 'cleared the air lock' but turns out (after 3 days of head wrecking and about to quit my job) there was a rag in the 1½ black iron pipe restricting the flow.🤯.
Great boiler the 440.
Merci beaucoup mon ami
Oh man installing these units in cupboards props to you guys blokes jeez I can’t ever image that! We have basements here in the states, definite props! What’s that round looking disk at 23:49?
Remember looking at those pipe vices when they first came out, wondered if the newer ones were a bit too light or unstable?
Great videos and the mix of both is always interesting. I thought that little Wurth socket wrench with the hinged head was quite good, anyone have a link for that?
Great video prefer lots of small jobs especially fault finding
I believe, you could go for industrial works , obviously from my understanding, it’s a bit different world out there , requires training and industrial gas . Involves a lot of BMS controls , industrial wiring on electrics , I could carry on , but it’s a lot to it …plumbing wise, some things are different, because it’s constant usage , different systems add on , drinking water storage tanks , softener system for hot water cylinders unvented , automatic backwash system for central heating, main cold water storage tank to feed the other tanks upstream the building, from the other cold water storage tanks will go downstream and becomes as a gravity feed systems , I mean it’s a lot to it … Where , I work primary heat source it’s steam , very efficient . I have to make a video one day to explain it more in detail, brains will definitely fry out 😳🙈😂😂
Hi Pete, prefer lots of small jobs~ thanks for the videos
I fitted a Highflow when I was subbing for BG. Mine was also bent and someone left their take away containers.
Good video mate
Regards
Faruk
Great video as always. I was wondering how you were picking up that shower 😂😂😂😂
Great and informative video. Wurth socket set looks brill and similar to the facom set. Where was it purchased from please?
Looking well pete, hope u have a happy Xmas and a prosperous new year, love ur vids, keep em coming, would love some more bending tutorials 😊
👍good job
Hello sir how are you
I'm Plumbir in Pakistan
Your work is so nice
Great video as ever, I’ve always wondered what the mask is about in the van?
Re the long or short jobs,,,,the short jobs are brilliant for a holtafors bucket full of great tips, but the long jobs are also great, when you go through the tricky bits, I just keep re-winding until it sinks in. Because someone asked you about the price of the washer change, just wonder what the norm is for this job, change of boiler with a few added extra's and just moving a boiler from bathroom to loft???? I've got one coming up, but don't want to price too cheap, as with so many people, 'buy cheap, buy twice', so want to avoid this.... Thanks in advance.
Any type of vid is fine by me matey… I would have used a little silicon grease on the flue seals to prevent the seals kinking etc.. 👍🏻👏🏻
Good Morning Pete, would like to get in contact regarding a boiler replacement and further c/heating works.
Fault finding and little jobs mainly, big jobs now and again 👍
"Central heating flow and return that used to feed the shower" They've got to fill up the system on a regular basis
About 50 seconds in. Am I a stupid Dane or is this nonsense?
Excuse me didn't watch the full vid before my comment
As it comes. I like a mixture.
Nice one sir
Top video as always mate! 6:05 gunky copper joints. Why are these joints so badly oxides? What is due to? Lack of ventilation in the ceiling = sweating pipes, or was it just because flux wasn't cleaned off properly?
They're just badly soldered joints that were never cleaned off properly.
I'm nervous about all of those green joints above the kitchen haha
Nice vids, do you have a link to that socket set, I can't seem to find it online, thanks
Great video again. Don’t mind you doing small jobs or big jobs really maybe mix it up like your doing is good for everyone get best of both worlds. Enjoy them all really. Nice bag near end too. One I’m hopefully going to get soon lol
Lots of little job you learn more
Hi Pete. Have you got a link to the company that you can buy the pipe vice from in the uk.
Thanks
When you have a load of dodgy looking soldered joints, would you tell the customer/take photo's and or price to put them right?
Yet another Q. Only ever seen one of these in situ, it looked a nightmare,,, however, what are the benefits or reasons to fit this instead of a combi/system, is it just because it's a half way measure? Because of the hot water storage, does this mean that it can't be used with something like an ASHP?
I like lots of little videos personally 👍
Cheers Jason
I like both type of jobs, maybe you could do different types of plumbing. A look at commercial
Catering and industrial.
I believe he can , requires a lot of time , and training much bigger stuff, needs industrial gas to begin with, everything it’s in bigger size , systems are a bit different, link to computer controls and BMS panels .
@@edthelasttribe9580 He could be an apprentice for a day and follow an industrial
plumber around. Be great to show the younger guys there's more choices to plumbing than domestic.
@@TheFoolishboy9 , there’s more options than young generation imagine , biggest case here , those jobs are good payed jobs , the way it goes it’s not what you know, but who you know . They require already experienced mechanical engineers to work with bigger mashinery equipment, and whit in a plant rooms and general plumbing around the building. Saddest part , there’s more plumbers than electrician’s, it takes a guts to work on electricity 😂 for electricians there’s a dozen of jobs out there ..
Would someone be able to explain the boiler (how it works)?
I see it has a thermal store, but as it still uses a plate hex, how does that make it more suitable for a two bathroom house (as Worcester say)? Surely, if it's still mains feeding the shower(s) rather than an un-vented cylinder, the mains would drop off as a combi would?
Thanks
Chris
ps thanks PB for the upload.
Plumbings about big jobs and little jobs , keep doing what your doing mate
PB why did you fit that horrible worcester heap ?
Pete mate what do you do with the internal bit of the flue do you seal it or just use the plastic ring that comes with the flue ?
Was that boiler the customer’s choice?
Any chance you can explain what those things are on the pipes up from the boiler, I know one is a Magna clean filter but what are the other two things.
Excellent 🌹💐✌️👍
I prefer different small jobs in the videos personally :)
👍👍👍pb keep a mixed 👛👛 of work #jobbingplumber ✌️✌️✌️
HI lads -- don't Worcester make things easy eh -- i've serviced a few of the newer free standing highflows and thats a job and a half --but luckily ive never had to fit one -- that rear flue option is a scandal !!! what are Worcester thinking about when they design a flue that the engineer has to assemble on the inside of the caseing -- their designers are not gas engineers thats for sure -- take care lads --Jim
Just to let you know.. I work for the RUclips police ! Your lines you drew on your picture weren't level! Just so you know :P hahaha great video per usual Banging content ! -x-
Pb where is your wurth set from?
Is that Ben guy qualified? Troll troll troll 🤣🤣
good vid but not enough sound; had my volume on max
Always prefer the smaller jobs. In and out, like the SAS.
Just like me with the mrs 😝😝
Who else has ended up here after Dr pipe stopped posting vids
Mostly small jobs but would like to see the occasional large job, much as you are doing to be honest.
Where them pipes feeding the shower 22mm?
were new boiler install vid
What happened with the shower did you get it working and what was the pressure like?
A mix, please
i was here first, love your vids!!!
Commendable
Congratulations 👏 👏
