      To be honest.. what he said is true. I mean i dont know the process i’m not a derm but i stopped using moisturiser two years ago and it worked for me. First i did it because i was lazy but kind of noticed that my skin looks so refreshed in the morning without moisturizer than with one. Recently i am using corsx snail essence. Otherwise i just prefer to sleep with bare face washed just with water.

    Love this reaction and cannot believe the words that are coming out of his mouth!! Like I’m not even a derm but what I do know is that during sleep is one of the most active periods for the body to repair itself! So moisturizer could always help facilitate that. The other thing is saying “trap dead skin cells” like if that were true then wouldn’t a ton of people have flaky skin or buildup on the face? I notice more dryness/flakiness from people who DON’T moisturize before bed lol 😆

    I'm someone who wouldn't need moisturizer though. My skin is already oily but in a good way. And It doesn't cause acne. My mother who has oily skin and does not moisturize, gets mistaken for being in her 30s and she's pushing 60.
    This is a case by case basis. There are people who need no moisturizer, need some, need an average amount, need above average and need a lot.

    Agreed! Have a look at the Dr Hauschka skincare line, it takes bodily process and functions fully into account regarding the process of skin functions. They do not advise night cream but rather just hydration tonics and gel based night care. The Skin detoxes and regenates at night, it does not need extra rich creams. During the day your skin is in defense mode and exposed to external factors, pollution, blue lights, weather changes ect.
    So ideally Rich day care and Light night care for healthy skin 😀

    He’s 100% right. I had to stop using moisturizer at night because I have very sensitive skin and everything irritated it. I could only use one product- a tinted moisturizer that for some reason, my skin didn’t react to. I didn’t want to use that at night, so I just washed my face every night with a gentle, chemical free cleanser. After a few weeks of not moisturizing at night, I noticed an improvement in the look and texture of my skin. It was as if my skin was "relearning" how to self regulate and stay moist. Before that, I had what I thought was very dry skin. I haven't moisturized at night for several years now, and my skin is smooth and healthy-and I'm in my 40's.

    • @rosequartzs
      @rosequartzs 2 года назад +3

      @Zoran haha yeah, thats Dr Rattan’s advice alongside the video shes reacting to. What the video’s doctor mentions is facial skin’s overnight cell turn over, and the a thick layer of moisturiser can trap that within. He dsnt mentions the need to apply it bz of the reason that our bedrooms are not dry, which Dr Rattan corrects for her viewers with respect to the use of Air conditioners. Infact a skin care routine with certain actives and a hydrating moisturiser is important, if ure using a night mask, u can skip moisturiser, if ur serums make ur skin hydrated enough, again, u can skip the moisturiser, its a personal preference, but in which ever case, its advised to use any kind of thick emollient product 2hrs before bed, such that its well absorbed. Hope u understand😉

      I’ve heard a lot of skin tags can be a sign of insulin resistance so you might wanna look into that. People who treat their insulin resistance have had their skin tags automatically fall off. So I could suggest getting to the root of the problem rather than just treat them and have them pop up again. Wish you good luck ! :)

    Tbh I agree with him. Moisturising my face twice a day is too much and gives me acne. Wash twice a day and moisturise only in the morning.

      You could just not use a cleanser in the AM. Just rinse your face with water or use an oil based cleanser like the DHC oil rinse.

      As they regerate, come to the surface, and try to fall off they might get stuck- especially if you use an eclusive moisturizer. But washing your face in the morning would remove all of it. Does he think our moisturizer is made of super glue???

    • @truegrizzlesfan2292
      @truegrizzlesfan2292 2 года назад +2

      No disrespect but used your common sense. You apply moisturizer 2hrs before bed time so that A, your products can absorb into your skin and B, the moisturizer can help lock in the skin barrier. Some stuff are common sense. If you apply moisturizer within 2 hrs or let say you lay on your pillow after you apply the moisturizer. you are wasting the products. Most likely the product will be on your pillow vs the face. Sure you might have some product on your pillow after 2hrs but it will be less than, if you go to bed right away. Please used your brain cells.
