No crashing into each other when getting passed, letting people pass when they are faster and the even saying bye when leaving... Am I dreaming or is this paradise?
Thanks man. I do really enjoy the F3 its probably my favourite car on iRacing atm. You're going to love it the immersion is unreal. FYI you will probably get motion sickness at first but just take it easy, it will pass eventually.
I use display capture within streamlabs to record the image diplayed on my primairy monitor. iracing will display what yopu see within your headset on your monitor so thats what is recorded. Hope this helps
Hi Stuffeyy, I am currently configuring a simulator and thinking about VR Oculus as an additional option, how long can you drive without being tired, more than an hour? Is it a real alternative to three good curved screens? Thank you and to all others who can comment :-)
Hey buddy..well I have actually completed a 4 hour endurance solo before so quite a long time 😂 Its very comfortable and I've never had any issues with sweating or steaming up of the lenses. For immersion you cant beat VR you would not regret the purchase. If you can't afford them or don't have the space for Triples its a great alternative.
It's a difficult one because the Rift S is still a great performing headset and cheaper than the Quest 2 but Oculus is stopping production of them this Spring, so if anything goes wrong with it, it may not be able to be replaced or fixed. The Quest 2 I've been told it is also a great headset and is currently Oculus main product so will have continued support but it is more expensive than the Rift S (as you will need to buy the C Link cable for use on PC and I highly recommend the adjustable headband). Overall I'd recommend either but there are caveats to take into consideration. Hope this helps
@@stuffeyy Would you be so kind to share your Vr / game settings like Pixel density and as well stream settings ? when i try to stream using Nvenc even at Higher bitrates its always blurry a XD
Thank you mate. I capture my primary screen which is a 1440p monitor which is a crisp image even without too much AA. I'm assuming that you are talking about having issues with AA when recording not the headset itself? Try checking out my iracing settings video as well as my recording settings video, I hope they help.
Curious about the overlay you have for the relative position, it doesn't look to be the normal iRacing one. Is it an overlay in the VR with JRT or something?
It actually is just the standard iRacing relative. In my other vidoes if im using an overlay it will be kapps. Unfortunately the iracing relative/black box is the only thing i am able to see within the headset regards to timings.
Yep its holding 80fps consistently. I have an RTX 2080 so that is a beefy card and easily copes. I still don't have every setting set to High though as some of them put unnessary strain on your GPU. I'll show my Graphics settings at the start of my next video so you and others can see.
@@nsg3968 ah brilliant!! You won't regret it, iRacing has the best VR support out of the racing sims atm. I have a video specifically for VR settings in iRacing too which should help but if you have any additional questions feel free to message me. Always willing to help :)
You are right, thisis because I did not have the correct bitrate set for recording so the grpahic fidelity looks lower than it actually was in game. This was my first ever video filmed in VR so i'll let myself off with that mistake haha.
Its because the visor gets dirt on it which makes the image look blurry. This was one of the first races I did in VR so didn't know you could bind a key for visor tear off which is essential in open cockpit cars.
Great video!! I used the PSVR with thrustmaster t300 rs couple years back, however had to sell due to not having the time/space. I have since then bought a pretty beefy pc ( RTX 2080 also ) and now looking to grab the oculus rift s to go along with the playseat. This vid has got me buzzing to get back into it. Is this a racing league you are in?
Glad to hear you are getting back into it and with the Rift S too!! I got VR for the immersion mainly as well lack of space I have for setup. This sim is iRacing and I'm in in one of their many series they do. Personally the best when it comes to competitive online sim racing until you go onto 3rd party leagues. Thanks for subscribing and if you need any help with the Rift S hit me up! 😊
I do have a video on my graphics settings here. ruclips.net/video/sEqJGvC4PZY/видео.html Not much if anything has been altered since it did this video.
Because when recording you can only record either the left or right lense. When im within the headset I am centred as I am looking through the image displayed on both lenses
@@stuffeyy Mate i want to get into VR on iRacing. I am also running a RTX 2080. Which VR headset should I go for? U happy with your Occ Rift S? But this vid is 2 yrs old now, will U recommend other VR headset instead? Thx in advance.
@@snowb0l Hi buddy, if you can pick a Rift S up i would still reccomend it as it is a great entry level headset. The Rift S has been repalced by the Quest 2 however so that would be a great one too. An RTX 2080 is more than enough to run VR solidly too
Because my head is slightly tilted due to the the way the track falls and the movement of the car. This was also one of my first races in VR, i am now a lot more used to it and better at holding my head in a more stable position.
great game but the car handling isn't great once you break traction in any car its a shame if this game had the handling of raceroom, rfactor 2, Assetto corsa id spend the money its so outdated 2008 also rubbish how you have to sell your left kidney to buy all the cars over $2000 AUD wtf !! not a fan at all nice video though just got my reverb g2 and back into VR lots of fun.
The resolution seems fine to me and many others. I will admit i am looking at other VR headsets though as i am having serious issues with mine and Oculus atm.

I know right!! They don't happen often but these lobbies do exist 😂
I love your calm composure. You can feel it not shaking around, awesome content.
Thank you buddy
UFO sighting @3:28. i think it was actually an f1 car lol imagine being in that one in VR
Haha I didn't notice that. I think my stomach would've turned over if I was in that car

Haha me too!!
Great win mate! What a friendly comms in this race too.
You made it look easy, I know it's not. Just got the Rift S myself. This video got me excited to get it set up. Great video!

Aw thank you buddy 👍
Is that a mod for radio chatter with the race engineer? Sounds super cool!
Its a 3rd party app called Crewchief. Brilliant app that has so many functionalities such auto refuel. Free to download too.

i have an aliasing problem on my iracing screen mirror, VR is OK and my AA is ON!!

I wish the mirrors would adapt to where your head is. I feel like that might crash my PC lol
For some reason using steamlabs on my rift the in game volume is super low any suggestions what are you using for audio capture
Hi Viper, I make sure that my audio capture device is my Headset. It may be because your default audio capture is the Rift headset.
Is this the head set that uses your pc graphics card? And if so what graphics card are you using in your oc for this
It is indeed. It connects directly to the PC.and I've got an RTX 2080 so plenty of power for it

Hi... Oculus Rift S compatible Xbox One ??
I believe so, it is something I havnt tried personally so I dont know how easy or hard it is to setup or use
with the rift s what did u do the 2 arm controllers?
I remove the batteries and leave them on my desk. You dont need them to start up or use when in iRacing
