I remember watching this video over and over to learn the song. It's been years and I am finally learning the high part. It was in 5th position. I keep coming back to this video because it is still the best.

Thank you for posting. I thank God for the talent some people have. I am a film major and I love music. Recently a families two daughters came over to play the violin together for us. This flooded sweet memories of the sound of the violin. So thank you for your upbeat, informative, and touching post.
I'm surprised you haven't gotten many views for zelda songs! I love zelda and was really happy when I saw this video and that you made the sheet music! You're a great teacher, you make the videos fun. I'm actually currently trying to play this song. ^.^ I love the violin
gotta love this kinda stuff. I myself play violin, but not much like the other kids I knew in highschool. I always loved it, but i love it for being able to play video game music and awesome irish music.
I really like how you go into the piece. most people learn you part by part and stop every second to explain it, but you tell alot about everything wich is really awesome. It makes it alot more fun. keep it up!
Thanks a lot for the Sheet music!! I'll try this until I can play the whole music correctly. And also thanks for the Song of Storms. I'm not very good with the violin but meh, Zelda FTW!
I don't know if I ever had the chops to play the violin, but I admire the craft one can put in to this form of art. You, my friend, showed me some intriguing fun twists on a nostalgic favorite, even if I've held this instrument in my life, it was worth learning some neat tricks.
+BenChanViolin This is so helpful! Zelda is one of my favorite games ever and having a tutorial on (in my opinion) the catchiest song in the game is so nice! THANK YOU!!!
I agree with Tarodax (who said looking at you playing the violin just makes me happy hearing you playing makes me feel incredibly happy and looking at your face that almost explodes of positive enthousiasm makes me feel motivated) I quit playing the violin a few years back but I relly miss it and seing this makes me even more motivated to take it up again! I'm absolutley gonna subscribe!
This is still super relevant, I loved your old website when we would be able to vote on your music. I hope you and your family is doing well, you are and will always be an inspiration! From 11-25years old I love your compositions the best
Haha, so true at the end. I'm not a violin player, but I play the keyboard and playing what I really enjoy has helped me become quite proficient in the course of a year. I find myself sitting down at the piano just to bust out Saria's Song or the jazzy Godot theme for a quick minute and then going back to what I was doing.
this is amazing, my boyfriend and brother got me into zelda and now maybe i could play something like this. i've been playing for six years and i stopped for two, this seems simple enough to get used to and keep going for it. i miss it so much.
You are a VERY good teacher. I sing rather than playing violin... However, your ability to understand music and get others to learn too is really something special. Wonderful video!
Great work! As a violin teacher, I will definitely look into teaching video game music to give my students more variety in their repertoire and to help keep them motivated in practicing.
wow i don´t even play violin... yet i stood there watching you give the lesson... you´re simply the best... and ur playin is beatiful we swear ( and by ¨we¨ i mean youtubers)
And I was going to the store!! I'll remember that when i get my violin. This will be the first song i learn! since its fun and its nice and bouncy tune!
you, really, give meaning to 'playing the violin' , it's as if your a soccer player playing with a ball, twisting and manouvering it at your command. I wish I could violin like you.
i dont play violin but i find ur teachin wud be most helpful for those who do. (im an ex flutest and zelda fan) and myt i ad i love how u explain how u perscieve how to add to the sound with the bow. it sounds very beautiful. and its great to see how excited u are in your playin, i can not stand these stiff, unemotonal figures playin music, after all music is a means of pleasure as well as a hard skill. thnx for the vid
woow i dont even play violin and this amazed me. i really want to start playin a violin now or a piano because of this video. thanks and would love to see more video game covers.
Wow, I just discovered your videos and I would like to say that you are absolutely amazing at playing the violin. @@halfandhalfbastard8033 I did!! I have been without one for a couple years now but now that my career has launched I’m about to get another and get back into it ☺️ thank you for inspiring me as a kid years ago!
i always play this song in my orchestra class and i love. this kid [in my class] on viola did it by ear [ i believe] , but he did it in a lower octave than you did in the first level, but it's really good :D
I just bought a violin and I havent played in about 11 years so Im pretty much NEW at it again and I think you explain your videos very well. I think something you could do to make it a litle easier is buy some cheap dry erase board from walmart and put it up with the music on it so that when your explaining it as you go through we can see it as well. I think it would be helpful to your viewers but thats just my opinion. :) keep up the good work!
Ben-chan to be honest I am an amateur at violin. I walked into a second hand store one day and saw a violin. I had wanted to play one for a while. I knew nothing about them when I picked it up and to be honest even to my surprise I could play the sound out without screeching it. XD so I decided to pick it up. I started playing some basic songs but I had no interest in them and so my attention for the play of the songs dwindled but not my love for the instrument and so began my journey to try and find game music for my violin. I searched high I searched low. I couldn't find one thst I could just read. I have trouble with the notes and hitting them. And I can't read a music sheet without colour coding but your work and efforts have convinced me to try harder. Thank you.
This is a beautiful melody, and you play it beyond beautiful. Kudos. Also, the FF5 part made me laugh, because I was also wondering what that part reminded me of.
Thank you for your music, perhaps I will try to play the violen, it has been a fantasy of mine I have wanted to learn since I was young, prehaps its a good time to start.
I love this. Well now I know how could improve when I tried. Like i knew the notes but I didn't know if I had to play a L2 or like L1 or things like that. Loved the the end btw lol
I remember watching this video over and over to learn the song. It's been years and I am finally learning the high part. It was in 5th position. I keep coming back to this video because it is still the best.
you should be my orchestra teacher :)
wow. after hearing it on the violin, it was like hearing if for the first time all over again...
