I love Selina's design. But thematically, she should've been Mitsy. Mitsy got a taste of power from the wizards, so it would make sense if Acheron (after season 4) decides to manipulate her instead of random girl number 24.

One person actually came up with the idea that she initially rejected Acheron....but when Bloom arrived Selina tried to reconnect. Because Bloom was so caught up in her duties she neglected her. Selina was deeply hurt by this, and this gave Acheron the opening he needed. It would show one of Bloom's mistakes coming back to haunt her.

This season could’ve been everything! Daphne coming back means that she becomes the next heir to the throne, bloom becoming resentful towards daphne and dealing those emotions while being the overbearing person she is. Bloom has been an only child for her entire life and basically got everything she ever wanted. Daphne coming back to life could really been used to shake Bloom’s reality!! This could’ve created some good character development for her and Daphne who dealing with PTSD and survivors guilt while being catapulted into resuming her royal duties. While also giving us that sibling rivalry that the Winx writers think doesn’t exist.
And using Selina to also shake Bloom’s “perfect” persona of bloom just ditching her old life without even saying bye to her earth friends IN addition to coming back to earth in s4 without meeting up with old friends. Selina being envious of Stella for “stealing” bloom away and taking her spot and Bloom’s best friend would’ve been EXCELLENT! Stella is usually the jealous one so it would’ve been nice to see Stella on the opposite side.
They could’ve done SO much with Daphne’s relationship with the Winx! If they had Roxy present, her and Daphne’s could’ve become so close being complete opposites (experience and youth) and bloom becoming jealous of that too!! The possibles for a great season! In addition to bloomix , the way this season could’ve been the next s3. UGH

bloom actually has never aspired to be the queen, so this plot line would be really random + bloom is a potential queen of eraclyon so there are no reasons for her to be dramatic
I'll take it once step further. Sirenix should only be needed for missions in the Infinite Ocean. Regular underwater missions should only require Harmonix, not that that's relevant here. I would've also thought Harmonix and Sirenix would be less effective out of water, but maybe I'm thinking too much.
no you are completely right, Sirenix should be for infinite ocean, regular underwater missions harmonix, missions on earth should be believix, and regular magic dimension stuff should be enchantix. enchantix should be default unless any of these other forms are needed.

I would have preferred the Trix to take over Red Fountain, it is a very little explored school. I know it doesn't make sense because it's not a magical school, but I'd still like to see it happen. I mean, it would give prominence to the Specialists, characters that have been with us forever but we know little about them. What planet do they come from? Who are their parents? What motivated them to attend Red Fountain?
thank you. I have been saying this for years. We don't know anything about them. We got some information on Sky but what about Brandon, Riven, Helia and Timmy and whoever Aisha is dating at the time. Like Saladin is Helia's uncle or grandson (depending on what dub you are watching) you would think we would get a little information. Brandon is Sky's best friend he also deserves a backstory.
Sky is the Prince of Eraklyon his father and mother (queen Samara) are king and queen. Brandon has been with Sky forever basically as he started as his personal guard/person to switch identities with. Helia is the nephew of headmaster Saladin. Riven was left by his mother at an early age from what we know. That's all I know.
See I like this a lot. This kind of ties into another rewrite idea I've seen around. In another Winx s6 video I was talking in the comments with someone, and they had suggested an alternative to Bloomix. Instead of the Winx getting their powers stolen or whatever it was, their powers got drained, and so they have to find more cost-effective ways to use their magic. In order to do this, they train with the Specialists, who teach them things like martial arts and other physical combat, and the Winx get a new transformation called Physix The Trix taking over Red Fountain would make a good excuse to get the Specialists and their School Faculty in Alfea. After the takeover, the guys all go to Alfea for sanctuary, like in s1. Thinking back to the witches, I think what would make the most sense is that the newer generation is inspired by the Trix. The Trix's own age group would be disillusioned to them bc of what they experienced, and their love for Griffin. But the new generation of witches idolize the Trix instead. This could create a sort of mutiny inside Cloud Tower, with the upperclassmen pitted against the underclassmen. Throw Lucy and Mirta back into the mix too. Lucy idolized the Trix and was desperate for their approval, compare that to the underclassmen baddabing baddaboom cinematic parallels!

Daphne being a clutz shouldn't have been the thing focused on, but the writers could have made it work! Daphne is massively powerful. Even without the Dragon Flame she is ranked as more powerful than Bloom. Daphne is the crown princess, shes one of the Nine Nymphs of Magix, shes a Nymph of Domino. Shes shown to be largely knowledgeable on the Magix dimension, and she took the role of mentor to Bloom in the earlier seasons (which is kind of funny, what with the trope of Mentors dying and Daphne is already dead). I personally hc that Daphne wanted a little sister, and her actions on the day Domino fell were a result of that bond she had for Bloom. Even Daphne's theme carries these motifs. Daphne is a powerful, ethereal nymph, whose dying sacrifice of love was to save Bloom's life. Daphne's theme is cut short because her life was cut short. Bloom has no memory of Daphne, and yet Daphne had loved her so much that she sacrificed herself for Bloom, and how could such a strong, loving older sister possibly be gone? And so when Daphne is restored she is brought down to earth. She isn't an invincible mentor protector older sister, she is struggling to be alive again. I dunno, I wish there was more sister-ly interactions between Bloom and Daphne as they properly learn about each other.
What, like that through her sacrifice she somehow became, not quite a ghost but a concept, a sort of ideal born from her love for her family? Cos that sounds really cool.... God there's a lot of missed opportunities. Someone else mentioned how she had a spot in a temple, which implies her power and importance was enough for others to immortalise/worship her as a demigoddess, and adds something to how the keeper of the dragon flame was seen in society.
I am not a part of the target demographic for Winx, but elementary school me was fascinated by the world building and power system of the series back when the original seasons aired. I think depriving children of aspirational heroes who still have interpersonal conflicts and who need to learn how to handle their emotions is actually detrimental to their development. It is such a shame to see how increasingly incoherent the show has become over time. Techna would be appalled at the lack of logical consistency within show's narrative and mechanics in the later seasons. We're dealing with a magical universe here, so it doesn't need to be *realistic* to OUR Earth's standards, but it should be *believable* within the context of the Winx worlds. I don't like this current trend of TV Networks dumbing down and/or terminating series that don't fit their weird standards.
If I had to redo Season 6. I would scrap the whole plot and give Tecna the main focus. Explore the Realm of Zenith. And enter the digital world. And have them wear hi tech suits and armour. Basically Digimon meets Genshin Impact

I was hoping that season 6 would focus on Daphne and show us her true strength, but what did we see?? A girl slams into the door and walls and stumbles on specialists, a girl who has no confidence in herself, and the greatest thing she has done is to calm a monster, come on. She is a guard of sirenix and a former carrier of the Dragon Flame and encounters the three witches and is the eldest daughter of one of the strongest warriors of the band of light
I had a weird day and this made me laugh so hard so thank you for that. Also, I totally agree; daphne's revival had SO much potential. What about the grief? The survivor's guilt? Having to adapt to a world that's moved on without her? Her history as a former dragon flame keeper? Her immense power and knowledge? And it was beyond ridiculous to see someone considered a demigoddess (she's on a temple goddamnit) hide from the bloody trix. Her forgetting how to open a door...it's just dumb.
And her struggling to adapt in her human body again can be a very good conflict too like how comatose patient can have problem with their body if they in a coma for a really long time. They can make it like Daphne got paralyzed and need to do a lot of therapy so she can do her life in her human body again. BUT NOOOO.
Fun fact about the pixies. In italian they always have been the winx voices although switched. Lockette had Aisha's voice, Chatta had Stella's voice, Tune had Bloom, Digit had musa and Amore had Flora

I honestly wished Eldora was the actual villain of the season: an old Believix fairy who gains power because of children believing in the fairy godmother. It would've been cool too if Selina was the actual Callisto of Veranda (a callback to season 1) and that she was kidnapped as a child since she's from the outskirts of the Magic Dimension. It would make sense that she wasn't targeted by the Wizards of the Black Circle as well. As for Acheron, he could be a researcher/sealing magic specialist who was viewed as a threat because he discovered some nasty history about each realm he studied.

I watched pop pixie as a kid and i remember liking it. I think i was like 6-7 (I'm 18 now) and Pop Pixie would air at 7 pm, the same time slot as the news. Looking back my dad probably died inside watching a mediocre winx spinoff instead of the news lol. I also made my whole family watch the third season of Winx at dinner as well. They aired the 5th season at 7 am at weekends so dumb 8 year old me would wake up at 7 am to watch it. My commitment was legendary it seems.
We shouldn't forget Keke Palmer as Aisha too, that was also a saving grace for me because True Jackson VP was part of my childhood. The moment Elizabeth and Keke left the show, that's where i truly stopped watching Winx for real
You know up until season 8 I always thought the reason the winx didn't switch between forms for different battles is because they couldn't. I had it in my head that whenever they got a new form they lost access to the old one and any power ups that came with it. An Enchantix fairy can't use Charmix A Believix fairy can't use the fairy dust A Sirenix fairy can't doesn't have multiple wings nor any sub-transformations (eg. Sophix) So when they had to get Sirenix cause Believix doesn't work under water I was like "Okay new form, new weakness it was bound to happen at some point." Hell even them calling Enchantix "the final transformation" made more sense since most fairies would see no need to risk losing it for another form just to find the new form only work in one area or something. I've been long since proven wrong but It's moments like that fight that bring it back to mind
Easy way to make profits on Winx Club without ruining the OG characters. Season 5, 6, 7 and 8 are about Roxy and her new Winx Group. Since she is younger than the winx she could actually be in Alfea (Maybe with Alice and Clarisse, also characters from season 4) some new characters like Aisha cousin could be added to the crew. And since she is a Siren Fairy from Andros her being in the story would actually make sense, so the "Under the sea plot" Could still work. The Winx would appear as guides each season, and that keeps the viewers interested. You'd want to see the fifth season because you're waiting for Aisha to show up and beat ass, and on.
One thing that gets on my nerves. The Legendarium is for myths right. So the Trolls can't be real. But everyone reacts as if these creatures are history not myth?

But has she ever really ever used any Moon based spells that often, if at all? 2) You would think that Griffen and the other witches at cloud tower would have beefed up there security significantly after the last time the trix took over and made cloud tower there base and all the witches there little Minions. But no! Not even Faragonda offers to help things and probably just has a permanent fold out couch for griffin the next time she gets tossed out. I like the hole idea that cloud tower and the witches there are meant to fight fire with fire so to speak.And I definitely love goth girls. But when you spend most of the time siding with the forces of evil, then fighting them. I have to question the point of cloud tower still being there. It just seems like both Alfea and Cloud tower are just crutches for there respective teams.

I liked Pop pixie honestly and watched it. Cheerie was my favorite because I like unstable magic. But I do wish they could've had the normal pixie voices. Seriously the ones in the shadow phoenix special and season 3 and 4 were perfect! Why did you change them nickelodeon?! TELL ME!!!!
Honestly if I were to give Cheerie a voice actor for her character I'd either go with Selah victor or Mae Whitman. Since Cheerie can be a snob at times and kind of a bully unintentionally. Well in Pop pixie at least.

The four Cardinal Fairies are the leaders of each of the four elements. There’s a villainous trio of sorceresses called the Star Catchers who are targeting the Cardinal Fairies and are in the majority of the Club’s classes.

What Thomas said about kids deserving quality kids media is why it annoys me when so many MLB fans completely brush off both the valid criticisms other fans have of the series and how it has legitimate issues under the stupid "argument" of "it's for kids!".NO. I get that kids don't necessarily have the highest standards when it comes to media,but I'm pretty sure that even a kid could notice a lot of the major issues of MLB,even if they can't express it, especially if they're older kids and not toddlers. And even if Winx Club is going for an even younger demo now,that applies to them too.They should've just ended the show at SotLK and S4,then hard rebooted the show and make it clear it's for a younger audience. That would neatly address all the issues with them using the soft reboot tactic they're doing now. Yes! Again. If they gave witches their OWN transformation with thier own abilities and shortened the seasons so they could actually focus making a good story rather than padding out the run town. So much of this season was annoying and unnecessary run time that could have been actually good plot and better animation quality. And I agree with you on the switching transformation for different purposses. i honestly thought that was where Sirenex was going but....yeah.
Also, we were robbed of little interactions between Selena and Lucy. Imagine Lucy connecting with Selena over their shared desire to be like the Trix, and advising her to eventually betray them.
Just an idea for your rewrite: Maybe the winx could earn bloomix by proving they have the courage of the great dragon or something. I’m really not sure. All I’m saying is you have the opportunity to make bloomix even better than Enchantix. I think you can do it.

Actually Trix being able to control that thing Daphne could is related to the fact that Trix got their Sirenix from Daphne remember, I think it was explained in S5 in one of the episodes.
So i made a comment a moment ago how the Pop Pixie power could make sense and this is the right moment. What if they used Magix Pops to seal the Gloomy Wood Trolls away. But in the process this power disappeared becouse there wear no longer big threads. When Darkar came the Pixies couldn't defend themselves becouse the magic of Pop Pixies got lost over all those years. S4 and 5 didn't include the Pixies if i'm right, and like after Valtor they might have been through a lot and Pop Pixie can easily be in the same timeline as S4 & 5. And in S6 they fight together with the Winx. The Winx are in shock to see Pixies transform. This could make perhaps there bonding stronger. Maby some convergence spells between Pop Pixie and bonded fairy. This could be interesting to introduce Mythix as a kind of fairy version of Pop Pixie. A magic transformation that got lost becouse the Legendarium was locked, and those powerfull Legends couldn't be summoned/awakened. Becouse off this, the Legends became just Fairy Tails becouse no one believes in them anymore. And when the Legendarium came back, the Magical Universe got introduced with the Legends and there believe and fear powers them up. So the Magic Pops came back becouse of past threads and Mythix came back becouse of the Legendarium that got opened again. Like Bloomix didn't do much you know, so idk how to include that yet, it could be used when the legends came alive and have normal strength, and maby they can transform into some kind of acient super beings that can only be defended by Mythix/Mgic Pops.

What they could've done, could have been .We don't know that Selina has the lenged dariem. Until, griffin tell us, that she's working with the Trix. And then attacks the winx, and then she escapes. Then we know that she is the one who has the Lenged dariem. And Bloom feels so betrayed and wants to think about everything. Kind of what they did with Avalon.
I think it's odd that I Season 1 Musa had the second shortest hair. But in Sirenix she happens to have the longest hair. I know it's all magic. But still.
I had a good laugh, I love your great commentary! One thing though: I don't think the possibility to use older transformations was a canon thing before season 8. The only hint we have is the Winx going back from Believix to Enchantix in the last scene of season 4 but the writers never built forward on that or confirmed this was a thing through dialogues. So I don't think using Sirenix above waters is an error. The Winx' and Daphne's last earned transformation is Sirenix so I guess that's actually the only one they can use.
I would've loved a spin off show of the main girls kids (yes even roxy) And see how similar or different they are from there parents and seeing if their friendship would be the same as the winx or different where they drift apart later on in life
Watching your videos make me feel so validated as a winx fan with having these feelings… but also so frustrated/sad because you clearly articulate what’s wrong with the later seasons😭
It’s funny because they probably could have brought back poppixie as the show for kids. Make winx club for the older audience showing the winx grow up and have adult lives while mentoring Roxy and pop pixie focus on the pixies doing more of the kiddy stuff that season 5+ wanted to do. Maybe even change it from just the pixies to include some new fairies that work together to save the day from lesser evils. The reboot and added characters would also be a great toy opportunity as well.

I watched pixie pop but it was at a time when I was caring so little about Winx, we were already in season six that I didn't even realize that Digit and Tune weren't the same there.

I would have really liked the Winx to move on from Alfea and build their own superhero headquarters to fight evil out of (not on Earth). 10x more interesting than making them return to Alfea each season for no reason.
Seasons 1-5 were great. Season 6 had so much potential. It was the one Season where it was necessary to use every transformation. The concept of fictional characters/past villains coming back to life is awesome and had potential. I feel like mythix was necessary bc I mean you can't just waltz into the book but the way it was required and the transformation was butt cheeks. The winx didn't have to go back to school. It could've been them going back and forth between gardenia and alfea. Teaching at alfea and working in Gardena. Trying to keep their jobs and the future generation educated. All while trying to save the world. And istg Roxy should have gotten more transformations. Like how did the fairy of animals not get butterflix? A power acquired by saving animals. Rainbow doesn't have to keep going back and forth between children and teenagers. First of all if you wanted to keep winx for kids, you shouldn't have had them graduate so early. And they shouldn't have canceled world of winx which was targeted for an older audience. If kids want to see the winx when they were younger all they have to do is go back to the first three season. It's not illegal or inappropriate for the transformations to have their stomach showing or for the winx to have jobs. If anything that should show independence. The winx created their own business. That could be inspiring. Idk why they decided to change the art style for season 8 and get rid of the crop tops. As if doing that erases the other seasons. They should've made a spin off with different characters and made that the kid version and continued winx for a bigger audience. Now that probably isn't in their budget but it's better than losing your entire audience. In regards to how the character's personalities have changed, I feel like they have just grown up. Stella still has her sarcasm, Musa still has her humor, aisha is still the more serious one, flora is still kind but I feel like she has grown in a sense that she is more outspoken. Especially since in the earlier season it took all she had to tell Helia she liked him. Speaking of him they did him SO dirty. Like I barely even remember him anymore. Him and flora feel like background characters who have their own episode every season. Tecna is still technical but she is more in tune with her and other's feelings. Bloom isn't the young indecisive fairy but a leader. And instead of being perfect like everyone seems to think I feel she is a flawed character who has come a long way. She's more confident but still has those occasional break downs where she doesn't know what to do. Which is where the whole friendship is magic comes into play. My main problem with winx is that they keep backtracking and reverting for no reason. They keep trying to make the show kid-like as if there's some 18+ crap happening. It can still be a kids show but have character development. Take sailor moon and lolirock for example. Or literally any other Girls Save the World concept kind of shows. I also don't understand why they felt like they had to make the winx's personality trash, the world dystopia, and include drinking and excessive violence in fate to mark it for older ages. I don't think winx needs to end and honestly I don't want it to because it's my childhood but what's the point if they keep doing these things. Their art work is beautiful but it's a waste of budget if you're going to use it to reenact earlier seasons.
I think the Trix doesn't have the dark sirenix cause Daphne got her power back or something cause yk in season 5 Tritannus stole Daphne sirenix powers and give it Trix. But it's also doesn't make a lot of sense and how the hell Trix defeat Griffin with only their base form... God
If there is a very distinct difference between a witch and fairy (which I don’t think there is because Martha (I hope that’s her name) went from a witch to fairy just like that) then maybe you could say Selina was the last earth witch…but maybe that’s just me thinking for the writers

One person actually came up with the idea that she initially rejected Acheron....but when Bloom arrived Selina tried to reconnect. Because Bloom was so caught up in her duties she neglected her. Selina was deeply hurt by this, and this gave Acheron the opening he needed.
It would show one of Bloom's mistakes coming back to haunt her.

This season could’ve been everything! Daphne coming back means that she becomes the next heir to the throne, bloom becoming resentful towards daphne and dealing those emotions while being the overbearing person she is. Bloom has been an only child for her entire life and basically got everything she ever wanted. Daphne coming back to life could really been used to shake Bloom’s reality!! This could’ve created some good character development for her and Daphne who dealing with PTSD and survivors guilt while being catapulted into resuming her royal duties. While also giving us that sibling rivalry that the Winx writers think doesn’t exist.
And using Selina to also shake Bloom’s “perfect” persona of bloom just ditching her old life without even saying bye to her earth friends IN addition to coming back to earth in s4 without meeting up with old friends. Selina being envious of Stella for “stealing” bloom away and taking her spot and Bloom’s best friend would’ve been EXCELLENT! Stella is usually the jealous one so it would’ve been nice to see Stella on the opposite side.
They could’ve done SO much with Daphne’s relationship with the Winx! If they had Roxy present, her and Daphne’s could’ve become so close being complete opposites (experience and youth) and bloom becoming jealous of that too!! The possibles for a great season! In addition to bloomix , the way this season could’ve been the next s3. UGH

I'll take it once step further. Sirenix should only be needed for missions in the Infinite Ocean. Regular underwater missions should only require Harmonix, not that that's relevant here. I would've also thought Harmonix and Sirenix would be less effective out of water, but maybe I'm thinking too much.

I would have preferred the Trix to take over Red Fountain, it is a very little explored school. I know it doesn't make sense because it's not a magical school, but I'd still like to see it happen. I mean, it would give prominence to the Specialists, characters that have been with us forever but we know little about them. What planet do they come from? Who are their parents? What motivated them to attend Red Fountain?

Like Saladin is Helia's uncle or grandson (depending on what dub you are watching) you would think we would get a little information. Brandon is Sky's best friend he also deserves a backstory.
Sky is the Prince of Eraklyon his father and mother (queen Samara) are king and queen.
Brandon has been with Sky forever basically as he started as his personal guard/person to switch identities with.
Helia is the nephew of headmaster Saladin.

See I like this a lot. This kind of ties into another rewrite idea I've seen around.
In another Winx s6 video I was talking in the comments with someone, and they had suggested an alternative to Bloomix. Instead of the Winx getting their powers stolen or whatever it was, their powers got drained, and so they have to find more cost-effective ways to use their magic. In order to do this, they train with the Specialists, who teach them things like martial arts and other physical combat, and the Winx get a new transformation called Physix
The Trix taking over Red Fountain would make a good excuse to get the Specialists and their School Faculty in Alfea. After the takeover, the guys all go to Alfea for sanctuary, like in s1.
Thinking back to the witches, I think what would make the most sense is that the newer generation is inspired by the Trix. The Trix's own age group would be disillusioned to them bc of what they experienced, and their love for Griffin. But the new generation of witches idolize the Trix instead. This could create a sort of mutiny inside Cloud Tower, with the upperclassmen pitted against the underclassmen. Throw Lucy and Mirta back into the mix too. Lucy idolized the Trix and was desperate for their approval, compare that to the underclassmen baddabing baddaboom cinematic parallels!

Daphne being a clutz shouldn't have been the thing focused on, but the writers could have made it work!
Daphne is massively powerful. Even without the Dragon Flame she is ranked as more powerful than Bloom. Daphne is the crown princess, shes one of the Nine Nymphs of Magix, shes a Nymph of Domino. Shes shown to be largely knowledgeable on the Magix dimension, and she took the role of mentor to Bloom in the earlier seasons (which is kind of funny, what with the trope of Mentors dying and Daphne is already dead). I personally hc that Daphne wanted a little sister, and her actions on the day Domino fell were a result of that bond she had for Bloom.
Even Daphne's theme carries these motifs. Daphne is a powerful, ethereal nymph, whose dying sacrifice of love was to save Bloom's life. Daphne's theme is cut short because her life was cut short. Bloom has no memory of Daphne, and yet Daphne had loved her so much that she sacrificed herself for Bloom, and how could such a strong, loving older sister possibly be gone?
And so when Daphne is restored she is brought down to earth. She isn't an invincible mentor protector older sister, she is struggling to be alive again. I dunno, I wish there was more sister-ly interactions between Bloom and Daphne as they properly learn about each other.
What, like that through her sacrifice she somehow became, not quite a ghost but a concept, a sort of ideal born from her love for her family? Cos that sounds really cool.... God there's a lot of missed opportunities.
Someone else mentioned how she had a spot in a temple, which implies her power and importance was enough for others to immortalise/worship her as a demigoddess, and adds something to how the keeper of the dragon flame was seen in society.

I am not a part of the target demographic for Winx, but elementary school me was fascinated by the world building and power system of the series back when the original seasons aired. I think depriving children of aspirational heroes who still have interpersonal conflicts and who need to learn how to handle their emotions is actually detrimental to their development.
It is such a shame to see how increasingly incoherent the show has become over time. Techna would be appalled at the lack of logical consistency within show's narrative and mechanics in the later seasons. We're dealing with a magical universe here, so it doesn't need to be *realistic* to OUR Earth's standards, but it should be *believable* within the context of the Winx worlds. I don't like this current trend of TV Networks dumbing down and/or terminating series that don't fit their weird standards.

I was hoping that season 6 would focus on Daphne and show us her true strength, but what did we see?? A girl slams into the door and walls and stumbles on specialists, a girl who has no confidence in herself, and the greatest thing she has done is to calm a monster, come on. She is a guard of sirenix and a former carrier of the Dragon Flame and encounters the three witches and is the eldest daughter of one of the strongest warriors of the band of light
I had a weird day and this made me laugh so hard so thank you for that. Also, I totally agree; daphne's revival had SO much potential. What about the grief? The survivor's guilt? Having to adapt to a world that's moved on without her? Her history as a former dragon flame keeper? Her immense power and knowledge? And it was beyond ridiculous to see someone considered a demigoddess (she's on a temple goddamnit) hide from the bloody trix. Her forgetting how to open a door...it's just dumb.

I honestly wished Eldora was the actual villain of the season: an old Believix fairy who gains power because of children believing in the fairy godmother.
It would've been cool too if Selina was the actual Callisto of Veranda (a callback to season 1) and that she was kidnapped as a child since she's from the outskirts of the Magic Dimension. It would make sense that she wasn't targeted by the Wizards of the Black Circle as well.
As for Acheron, he could be a researcher/sealing magic specialist who was viewed as a threat because he discovered some nasty history about each realm he studied.

I watched pop pixie as a kid and i remember liking it. I think i was like 6-7 (I'm 18 now) and Pop Pixie would air at 7 pm, the same time slot as the news. Looking back my dad probably died inside watching a mediocre winx spinoff instead of the news lol. I also made my whole family watch the third season of Winx at dinner as well. They aired the 5th season at 7 am at weekends so dumb 8 year old me would wake up at 7 am to watch it. My commitment was legendary it seems.

You know up until season 8 I always thought the reason the winx didn't switch between forms for different battles is because they couldn't. I had it in my head that whenever they got a new form they lost access to the old one and any power ups that came with it.
An Enchantix fairy can't use Charmix
A Believix fairy can't use the fairy dust
A Sirenix fairy can't doesn't have multiple wings nor any sub-transformations (eg. Sophix)
So when they had to get Sirenix cause Believix doesn't work under water I was like "Okay new form, new weakness it was bound to happen at some point." Hell even them calling Enchantix "the final transformation" made more sense since most fairies would see no need to risk losing it for another form just to find the new form only work in one area or something.

Easy way to make profits on Winx Club without ruining the OG characters.
Season 5, 6, 7 and 8 are about Roxy and her new Winx Group. Since she is younger than the winx she could actually be in Alfea (Maybe with Alice and Clarisse, also characters from season 4) some new characters like Aisha cousin could be added to the crew.
And since she is a Siren Fairy from Andros her being in the story would actually make sense, so the "Under the sea plot" Could still work. The Winx would appear as guides each season, and that keeps the viewers interested. You'd want to see the fifth season because you're waiting for Aisha to show up and beat ass, and on.
That would've been so cool! I wish they had ultized Roxy more😮💨

I’m in the process of writing Season 1 of my fan project called the Zodiax Club. It’s focused on twelve high school girls navigating their lives. The four Cardinal Fairies are the leaders of each of the four elements. There’s a villainous trio of sorceresses called the Star Catchers who are targeting the Cardinal Fairies and are in the majority of the Club’s classes.

What Thomas said about kids deserving quality kids media is why it annoys me when so many MLB fans completely brush off both the valid criticisms other fans have of the series and how it has legitimate issues under the stupid "argument" of "it's for kids!".NO. I get that kids don't necessarily have the highest standards when it comes to media,but I'm pretty sure that even a kid could notice a lot of the major issues of MLB,even if they can't express it, especially if they're older kids and not toddlers.

Again. If they gave witches their OWN transformation with thier own abilities and shortened the seasons so they could actually focus making a good story rather than padding out the run town. So much of this season was annoying and unnecessary run time that could have been actually good plot and better animation quality. And I agree with you on the switching transformation for different purposses. i honestly thought that was where Sirenex was going but....yeah.
Also, we were robbed of little interactions between Selena and Lucy. Imagine Lucy connecting with Selena over their shared desire to be like the Trix, and advising her to eventually betray them.
This was so funny also maybe the reason Daphne used Sirenix is cuz she’s the Nymph Of Sirenix but again this video was so funny 😭😂

Actually Trix being able to control that thing Daphne could is related to the fact that Trix got their Sirenix from Daphne remember, I think it was explained in S5 in one of the episodes.

So i made a comment a moment ago how the Pop Pixie power could make sense and this is the right moment. What if they used Magix Pops to seal the Gloomy Wood Trolls away. But in the process this power disappeared becouse there wear no longer big threads. When Darkar came the Pixies couldn't defend themselves becouse the magic of Pop Pixies got lost over all those years.
S4 and 5 didn't include the Pixies if i'm right, and like after Valtor they might have been through a lot and Pop Pixie can easily be in the same timeline as S4 & 5. And in S6 they fight together with the Winx. The Winx are in shock to see Pixies transform. This could make perhaps there bonding stronger. Maby some convergence spells between Pop Pixie and bonded fairy. This could be interesting to introduce Mythix as a kind of fairy version of Pop Pixie. A magic transformation that got lost becouse the Legendarium was locked, and those powerfull Legends couldn't be summoned/awakened. Becouse off this, the Legends became just Fairy Tails becouse no one believes in them anymore. And when the Legendarium came back, the Magical Universe got introduced with the Legends and there believe and fear powers them up. So the Magic Pops came back becouse of past threads and Mythix came back becouse of the Legendarium that got opened again.
Like Bloomix didn't do much you know, so idk how to include that yet, it could be used when the legends came alive and have normal strength, and maby they can transform into some kind of acient super beings that can only be defended by Mythix/Mgic Pops.

I had a good laugh, I love your great commentary! One thing though: I don't think the possibility to use older transformations was a canon thing before season 8. The only hint we have is the Winx going back from Believix to Enchantix in the last scene of season 4 but the writers never built forward on that or confirmed this was a thing through dialogues. So I don't think using Sirenix above waters is an error. The Winx' and Daphne's last earned transformation is Sirenix so I guess that's actually the only one they can use.
Daphne turned into Jade. But it makes sense because same voice actor!
I would've loved a spin off show of the main girls kids (yes even roxy) And see how similar or different they are from there parents and seeing if their friendship would be the same as the winx or different where they drift apart later on in life

It’s funny because they probably could have brought back poppixie as the show for kids. Make winx club for the older audience showing the winx grow up and have adult lives while mentoring Roxy and pop pixie focus on the pixies doing more of the kiddy stuff that season 5+ wanted to do. Maybe even change it from just the pixies to include some new fairies that work together to save the day from lesser evils. The reboot and added characters would also be a great toy opportunity as well.

I watched pixie pop but it was at a time when I was caring so little about Winx, we were already in season six that I didn't even realize that Digit and Tune weren't the same there.

I think the reason they don't have dark sirenix is cause there is from Daphne and when Daphne got her powers back which is- I hate season 6 the Trix must of lost Sirenix because there source was from Daphne and when her powers return they lost it also I live fairy tail it's honestly amazing and great work

I would have really liked the Winx to move on from Alfea and build their own superhero headquarters to fight evil out of (not on Earth). 10x more interesting than making them return to Alfea each season for no reason.

Seasons 1-5 were great. Season 6 had so much potential. It was the one Season where it was necessary to use every transformation. The concept of fictional characters/past villains coming back to life is awesome and had potential. I feel like mythix was necessary bc I mean you can't just waltz into the book but the way it was required and the transformation was butt cheeks. The winx didn't have to go back to school. It could've been them going back and forth between gardenia and alfea. Teaching at alfea and working in Gardena. Trying to keep their jobs and the future generation educated. All while trying to save the world. And istg Roxy should have gotten more transformations. Like how did the fairy of animals not get butterflix? A power acquired by saving animals. Rainbow doesn't have to keep going back and forth between children and teenagers. First of all if you wanted to keep winx for kids, you shouldn't have had them graduate so early. And they shouldn't have canceled world of winx which was targeted for an older audience. If kids want to see the winx when they were younger all they have to do is go back to the first three season. It's not illegal or inappropriate for the transformations to have their stomach showing or for the winx to have jobs. If anything that should show independence. The winx created their own business. That could be inspiring. Idk why they decided to change the art style for season 8 and get rid of the crop tops. As if doing that erases the other seasons. They should've made a spin off with different characters and made that the kid version and continued winx for a bigger audience. Now that probably isn't in their budget but it's better than losing your entire audience. In regards to how the character's personalities have changed, I feel like they have just grown up. Stella still has her sarcasm, Musa still has her humor, aisha is still the more serious one, flora is still kind but I feel like she has grown in a sense that she is more outspoken. Especially since in the earlier season it took all she had to tell Helia she liked him. Speaking of him they did him SO dirty. Like I barely even remember him anymore. Him and flora feel like background characters who have their own episode every season. Tecna is still technical but she is more in tune with her and other's feelings. Bloom isn't the young indecisive fairy but a leader. And instead of being perfect like everyone seems to think I feel she is a flawed character who has come a long way. She's more confident but still has those occasional break downs where she doesn't know what to do. Which is where the whole friendship is magic comes into play. My main problem with winx is that they keep backtracking and reverting for no reason. They keep trying to make the show kid-like as if there's some 18+ crap happening. It can still be a kids show but have character development. Take sailor moon and lolirock for example. Or literally any other Girls Save the World concept kind of shows. I also don't understand why they felt like they had to make the winx's personality trash, the world dystopia, and include drinking and excessive violence in fate to mark it for older ages. I don't think winx needs to end and honestly I don't want it to because it's my childhood but what's the point if they keep doing these things. Their art work is beautiful but it's a waste of budget if you're going to use it to reenact earlier seasons.
I think the Trix doesn't have the dark sirenix cause Daphne got her power back or something cause yk in season 5 Tritannus stole Daphne sirenix powers and give it Trix. But it's also doesn't make a lot of sense and how the hell Trix defeat Griffin with only their base form... God
If there is a very distinct difference between a witch and fairy (which I don’t think there is because Martha (I hope that’s her name) went from a witch to fairy just like that) then maybe you could say Selina was the last earth witch…but maybe that’s just me thinking for the writers
