Something I hate about Episode 7 -8 is that they used a *Greco-Roman* book-storage facility, the Library of Alexandria, as part of a university (and of course burned to the ground in 48 BCE). The archaeological sites and environment they showed too looked more like something you'd see further South in Egypt, at a site like Thebes in Luxor. A more sensible and relevant site would've been a House of Life, which were libraries in Ancient Egyptian temples used from as early as the Old Kingdom. The Houses of Life were used to archive texts, as well as educate priests, doctors, and embalmers who each used ritual and apotropaic "magic" in their daily life as part of their career. They also wouldn't have bound books, but rather they'd be scrolls. There also... Aren't any pyramids anywhere near Alexandria, it's a coastal city in the Nile Delta. Something I would've preferred over mummies is beings from Egyptian Mythology, such as underworld demons like Apep, which would've actually posed an actually logical challenge for the Winx. Mummies resurrecting only happened once in Egyptian Mythology, that being the resurrection of the god Usir (Osiris) by his sister-wife Aset (Isis) when they conceived their son Heru (Horus). Mummy reanimation is a modern trope introduced in 1920s Egyptomania movies. Sphinxes didn't really have much prominence in mythology, but were rather just motifs in art. Edit/TLDR: Should've been in a House of Life, not a Greek book warehouse. The creatures they fought weren't from mythology.
Another addition: scribes, if wealthy enough, would also be educated in the House of Life. Edit: The first sentence doesn't make sense reading it back but basically the Library of Alexandria was part of the Musaeum Institute, a university built in the Greek period of Egypt under Ptolemaic rule.
12:36 Bloom in the first season expressed disappointment when she saw that Magix was not your typical medieval magic village, bring back that kind of reactions please 😭
The mummy "fight" is so dang painful to watch. I remember watching it the first time and screaming at the screen "FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, WINX!! YOU! CAN!! FLY!!! JUST FLY ALREADY!!!" The mummies don't have any ranged attacks, and the temple has PLENTY of open air for the girls to manuver in, so why didn't the Winx just fly out of the monster's reach and air-bomb them from above?
I think you're being too nice mate, cuz ALL OF THE FIGHTS IN S6 ARE PAINFUL 😭😭 but I do feel you lmfao don't forget the vampire and werewolves fight like yeah it happened on nighttime but then what's the point of having sun and moon fairy friend if she can't blast them off to save 25 minutes of the show or maybe like what you said- just fly it out then blast 'em? Oh right, plot armor 🤩🤩
they definitely just used the typical western animation archetypes of characters to write the girls in these seasons. like they didn't get Stella right at all, but she does sound exactly like every other fashion-and-shopping obsessed character in western animation EVER. it seems like writers didn't actually familiarize themselves with the material at all
I love how Bloom has an emotional remembrance of her Childhood friend and hugs her, but then she forgets about Selina until 2 episodes later and doesn't worry about if she survived in the library or not
@Rach It does make Bloom look shitty, but in her defense, the writers were just too lazy to think the situation through. They only bring back the Selina-Bloom friendship plot when it's deemed necessary
The Egyptian sphinx isn’t even a monster like the Greek one, it’s just a big statue… this is like if the Winx went to France and the Eiffle Tower attacked them
Not to mention in the first season Blooms power was taken away from her. When they went to Sparks/Domino to try to get the Dragon flame back, and then they had to fight off those ice creatures and that HUGE snow beast thing? They didn't need Bloom to come and save the day.....the other 4 girls beat it! Hahaha! Yeah sure Bloom came up with some good strategy ideas, but that's besides the point. Lol!
"Why are they on a shuttle bus? Why aren't they in the dorms?" Clearly Alphea's student body has grown sick of the Winx and have taken to rooming elsewhere 😂
Wait for minutes are those places Trix we're sent as prisoners? End of season 1- light rock positive camp. They were freed by Darkar in s2. End of season 2- they got stuck in the Relix dimension and somehow captured to send the omega dimension. Season 3- somehow was sent to an omega dimension (freed by Icy's magic) and later was sent to that same positive light rock camp at the end of the season. Season 4 movie - freed by Ancestors Witches, after defeat. They were sent to a prisoner of Ocean in (s5) freed by a pollution guy. In season 5, they were demolished by Politea and Pollution guy, this time they escaped themselves. In s6, they got dark witches form (IDK how? Absorbed polite and pollution guy's magic?) Later, betrayed by Selina and the forgettable Legendarium wizard got stuck inside the book. Selina locked them. Season 7 was freed by the ultimate gem fairy animal magic, somehow connected to the legendarium world. Ugh, mythix felt wasted potential. They got sealed in limbo by fucking Swan. In season 8, they are freed from limbo by Valtor's clone. The Trix is William Afton's of Winx Club.
My rant about the episodes: 1. Why would Stella even wear high heels in the first place if she knew they would go to Egypt? Part of me wonders why the Winx - except for Bloom - even know what Egypt is, let alone that it's a desert. They were on Earth once and that was just Gardenia. Tecna knew that rattlesnakes do not live in Egypt but who told her this? Did she read it up somewhere? But where? Daphne basically told the Winx that they would be going to Egypt and just teleported there. Why do the other Winx know everything about places they have never been but Stella does not? Is she excluded from the hivemind knowledge? 2. Why would Bloom suggest to keep a low profile and not transform? Shouldn't everyone on Earth not know by now that fairies exist? 3. I am pretty sure that mummies are not mythological creatures. I mean, the walking and "alive" ones are but you can take any object or dead person and turn them into a sentinel being but that does not make them a mythological creature. So why can the Legendarium even conjure mummies? They exist in the real world .. just not in the form of walking and attacking intruders. Same with the Sphinx.
Well to be fair there are a lot of myths about the Sphinx but Sphinxes didn't actually live in the real world or exist the same way Mummies did. You can find a mummy but the closest you can get to finding a Sphinx is a statue of one
That clip of Musa saying they always wear heels is what killed Winx for me. Back when I heard it on TV, I was raging. Musa with the converse always wears heels? Character assassination.
I feel so bad for Tecna. My girl isn't allowed to be cool at all. She's just the token smart girl and nothing more. I still like her, but I hate the writing. Pls, if you do rewrite season 6, give Tecna fans at least one good moment with her. You did that for season 5 and I enjoyed it a lot.
THIS! She was my favourite growing up (still is) but she was much better in the first 1-3 seasons (though the screen time was still sad) but now? And what they did to her an Timmy's relationship in s5? They were together for like 3 years and now they're awkward? 😭😭
@Hope for Aisha Yes, this was the only good thing in s5 but their date was just weird. They always had cute relationship but in s5 it looked like they knew each other like 2 month's not almost 5 years. I mean, in s3 they had this whole cute moment when Timmy was searching for her in Omega and than they suddenly talk to each other only trough texts? Nah, that's just weird 😂
Is Daphne supposed to be Demigod or Elder God level of comic being? She's the real owner of dragon flame, gosh I hate that stupid retcon. She gave Bloom the power of dragon flame. Bloom is just an employee with a salary whereas Daphne is the BOSS. Look at how strong Politea is, giving Daphne a fairy form sounds like a huge nerf for her. She should've stayed as Supreme Nymph.
Concerning Daphne and travel between worlds: It is season 1 canon that she opened an interdimensional portal to hide Bloom on Earth so ..... It makes sense that she can do that so easily
Honestly it would have made more sense if she used her life force to create that portal to save Bloom. That would explain why she couldn't save herself as well 🤔 oh well
@@fairyfellermasterstroke True, it could also be because she was exhausted fighting off the Ancestral Witches or because Earth was too far away and not even a part of the magical universe.
How cool would it have been if they had replaced Selena with Mitzy. Like what if mitzy discovered the legendarium and was so jealous of Bloom's power she turned herself into a witch to become the next villian. They kind of touched on it in S4.... idk i think it would make more sense then shoehorning Selena into Bloom's backstory.
" Hey everyone? Is everyone ok? " - Bloom trying to get more screentime, you know, the usuals... But for real couldn't she be like: " Hey, is everyone ok? "- without using the same word twice or unnecessary words.
You know since Selene is the witch of snakes and has a book that earth based myths/monsters in it, you’d think she’d summon more serpent like monsters like nidhog, (which would explain the random earthquakes since that is nidhogs whole thing). I also have a head-cannon idea why the legendarium spawns so many earth based fairytale monsters. These “monsters” where a one point, earth’s native magical beasts. Since magic was effectively wiped out due to the black circle, (or some other force) the monsters where soon to follow due to lack of protection, habitat destruction due to expansion and by people fighting them in their respective myths. Someone saw what was happening and out of the sake of preservation/knowledge storied the remaining beasts within the book for their protection. It’s essentially a living encyclopedia/zoo for extinct species that might not be limited to earth based myths. The reason my Selene could only summon earth based monsters is because she’s the most familiar with them, and any other creature would need to be study throughly in order for proper control or summon. (I don’t really know much about this show so be kind if what I said happened in some shape or form.)
@@aradcohen4309 I also have an idea that the original person who created the book had the dragon flame or used part of it when making it, (you know, since the dragon flame is the embodiment of life, and that would expend to preserving it). The legendarium power is essentially be a magical black hole that has the power to seal extremely powerful magical monsters and apparently regular magic as well. It would explain why bloom managed to keep her powers because the book would recognize the dragon flame and not absorb it as a fail safe. This would not only explain how bloom still has her powers but the knowledge of bloomix as well.
I kind of wish they'd do a separate spin-off on Daphne. Sure, we know what happened already, but she was lauded as the most powerful nymph. Her upbringing and seeing more of Domino (and it's downfall) would be interesting. I guess I just want to see how other dragon flame keepers handled it, since it's implied that Bloom can't live without it (she weakens/almost dies when she hands it out like party favors for Bloomix right?), but it seems to have been handed down many times 🤔
I want to see more of the Nymphs in General. How are they different then Guardian Fairies? Do they embody their elements? Do they have to be fairies or are witches welcome? What's they real differences between witches and fairies? So many questions!
@@shavagreycastle This! I want to see pastel witches lol. And obviously the witch students learn to manipulate dark energy under certain non-evil parameters, what's the difference between this and fairy magic (I mean Bloom pulls power from 'negative' emotion like anger plenty during the series).
@@mellbellsringing Exactly. Do they draw from different sources? What if witches were like Warlocks (godly patrons and bargains) and fairies were sorcerers (born with powers connected to the universe). Can a either party switch their power source and become the other? If so or not, what are the consequences? Do Witches have their own version of Enchantix? How do they earn it? What are their duties in the Magical Universe/ Are they the Explorers? The Front Line? The Cannon Fodder?
@@shavagreycastle I really wish they'd gone in a route where witches aren't bad by nature, but balance the dark energy in the magical dimensions by channeling it. If they aren't going to have dark fairies, having witches be integral to the ecosystem would have been an interesting way to explain why they're needed. At the very least tell me what about witch magic turned Prof. Griffin green 😆
@@mellbellsringing Oohh that's good too. They can even go into the duality of what's considered good. Take the Dragon Fire, which is basically considered the element of Life. How can life be detrimental? Life is good, right? Well, Over population, cancer, invasive species: these are examples of life being detrimental to the Natural Balance. Why not explore that?
I was rewatching Season 1-3… I realized something in S2 especially there were a lot scenes showing friendships between duos sharing their personal issues like Aisha and Musa, Aisha and Flora, Stella and Bloom… the friendships later on became dull and shallow.
I've had an interesting realization. During the Nick Era (specifically Seasons 5 - 7) I've noticed that Winx Club has become Power Rangers (Specifically Neo-Saban) but for girls. Just hear me out. * The uniformity of not just their civilian outfits but Fairy Forms (the differences aside from the colour scheme are kinda superficial) * Bloom, the leader of the Winx Club is the centre of attention just like the Red Ranger on most Power Ranger teams. * The Winx can't win a fight without Bloom being present just as most Power Rangers teams are useless with Red being there. * Everyone has either stereotypical or one-note personalities with little growth or development. * The girls all do some kind of pose when they transform (Not a thing in Seasons 1 - 4) EDIT: That last point I made. I mean they pose BEFORE they transform like Power Rangers. The Legendarium was such a waste. Just like Valtor going to various planets in the Magic Dimension to steal their spells and cause havoc back in Season 3, the Legendarium could have been the perfect excuse for more planet hopping in the Magic Dimension.
In s1, when the witches steal the dragon flame, their spells had dragon shapes and sounds. That would have been cool for the winx, and maybe some hints of flame hybrid magic (like burning sun for Stella or hot tune for Musa).
To be fair Sirenix is Daphne’s only transformation. They could’ve gave Daphne Bloomix too. But nooooo. It would’ve been so cool for the current keeper of the Dragon Flame to give a spark of it to the former keeper. Like imagine Bloom and Daphne using Bloomix
with stormy tornado they also forgot that winx in season 2 learned weather spells in paladiums class and musa actively used it once in a 1v1 with stormy to dispell her storm and since only daphne was caught in the tornadno one of the winx could have easily just performed the dance and cleansed the storm
i would love to see every girl have their own type of dragon. like aisha has a morphix/water dragon, flora has a dragon made out of vines ect. they literally have the dragon flame as well as their raw fairy power and rainbow/nick could have done so much more with it.
12:10 earth is nature. I honestly don't understand why Flora is called the nature fairy when her powers mostly only concerned plants and rarely earth and never water, fire and air. 12:26 yes, plenty of hippos in Egypt. But finding one in the middle of the desert would be extra weird since they are aquatic creatures that don't really like the sun. 13:59 they are undead peoples, that's scary. 21:50 it's magic 🤣🤣🤣
6:03 "Why am I getting the vibe that the writers of these seasons didn't watch the first 4" Me: Because they didn't... and they were the writers of Blue's Clues. You know at least seasons 5 and 8 were tolerable
Ya know I always thought that since they had the dragon falme with in them that they might have different dragons to fit their elements like how bloom has hers show up at random point or have new elemental spells like Flora having an Earth spell or Stella having a Moon or anti gravity spell like enchantix ya know
"I wonder if there are hippos in Egypt" sounded baffling to me at first but that's because in my native language, our word for 'hippo' would literally translate to 'Nile horse' - as in horse of the river Nile. Which is known to run through Egypt, among others. So in my country it's in the name but I guess in English that would not be as obvious lol. My bad. So yes, there are hippos in Egypt. :)
The lilting, sing-songy, "soft for baby-ears" way of speaking that all the characters have in this season (and I'm guessing later seasons. I've never actually watched Winx past season 1) is driving me CRAZY. In season 1 of the few episodes I rewatched recently, the characters have a very "child friendly" way of speaking, but it all sounds very sincere and heartfelt. Especially Bloom who almost made me cry when she begs to be allowed to stay at Alfea because she always wanted to be a fairy. In the clips you've shown of this season, the way all the girls talk as if they've had a group lobotomy makes it feel so extremely condescending and it makes me ENRAGED. Do NOT have your characters express themselves as if they're reading a book about farm animals to a baby where it doesn't matter what they say, only that they say it in a gentle tone of voice. PLEASE. This is why I was so angry all the time as a 5 year old girl. Everyone acting like I was an idiot 😂 Winx season 6 is unearthing some repressed trauma here dsfksdhfk
when Roy says "Hi Winx" you can cleary hear the Sadness Ton in her Voice, and look into these Sad Eyes! It's all because she is sad about it, that she is not a Winx Member anymore, like in S4~ #JusticeForRoxy
Amazing video yet again, lovely Thomas! I laughed so hard! That part, when Flora so casually brought Darkar to live, and Musa was just: “Awesome!”, means everything to me! 😅💖 I still ship Roy and Nex and they should have brought Nabu back to live!
Remember when in Season 1 the Trix got the Dragon Flame and Icy created an ice dragon destroying Red Tower or when the dragons formed behind them when they attacked. Remember when Fairy Transformations had actually interesting spells and powers.
For as much as they keep relying on the dragon flame, I just want them to bring back the shadow Phoenix. A Phoenix is a creature that dies and keeps being reborn. So if you don’t want to bring back Darkar, you can bring the Phoenix back in another form.
Don't worry about it, English is not my first language and I'm able to understand perfectly (but this is me, but, just so you know, my knowledge of English, while good, doesn't come close even in my best dreams to that of someone who has studied English very well or someone who has English as his first language.
@@BenOmniverse-zn2oz I don't know if I should comment happily because of the "me too" or sadly because of the points after which seem to indicate sadness.
18:50 Oh god 🤣, now i thought about when i browsing a few dub versions and noticed how often they used Duman's voice actor and then i found a meme in which Ogron was like "Duman i know i told you to spy on the winx but that didn't mean you gotta go there now and be literally everyone" 🤣🤣
As usual, the editing and humor was on point. I do agree that the pixies are way more annoying in the later seasons. I think that at least for me part of that is because I also tend to notice repeat voice actors too and it is so blatantly obvious that the pixies' new voices are the Winx' voices pitched up.(I will acknowledge the fact that I like that they gave Musa's voice to Cherie because they have a passing resemblance to each other). They definitely should have kept Tune and Digit and I think i have a way to make it work while making sure Cherie and Cara are additions rather than replacements.Thomas has brought up the fact that the pixies are either opposites or complementary to their bonded fairy. As such I think Cherie should be bonded with Nova from season 3 and Cara should be bonded with Alice from Season 4. (I know they are not relevant to the plot but that wouldn't matter anyway because it's season 6) Cara would complement Alice because both are sweet. Cara's desserts are self explanatory while Alice is sweet because she still asked Faragonda not to expel the girl who framed her for nearly KILLING Flora nearly getting her expelled. Also Cherie is Nova's "Opposite" because she usually because Nova is from Solaria where it's only rained once while Cherie spends much of her time either causing or fixing storms with her powers. (I know the reasoning is a bit weak especially with Stella being from Solaria as well, but at least it's something)
It would have been interesting if the reason why Eldora went to Earth was to protect Bloom after sensing a powerful magical force (the dragon flame) but Bloom's powers haven't fully manifested. So she can't just teach bloom how to use her powers but senses some magical potential in her friend Selena who could be part witch but in order to make sure she doesn't become evil or lose control of her rapidly developing powers, Eldora trys to train her in magic. Eldora tells Selena about Bloom's origins since she could have told by Farigona and promises Eldora to keep it secret.
With that whole bloomix convergence fail, it would of been interesting if this season had a thing where the winx couldn’t do it successfully if they weren’t all present in the spell. They would need all the sparks of the dragon flame for it to work. Or they could do it so that the less members/sparks that are present makes the convergence spells more dangerous and unstable.
Many snakes love to dig, actually. Look for videos of "horned viper hiding" on youtube to see impressive examples. The heads of hognose snakes and shovelnose snakes are specifically shaped to make digging easier. Garters and corn snakes also like to spend time underground. So, there is actually great potential for earthquake spells with snake-involving visuals. If one cared enough to be creative about it.
To be exact, hippo’s and crocodiles are in Egypt, but unless you’re taking a small boat down the nile I don’t think you’ll find them in the desert. Plenty of other things that will like you though. Like the aforementioned snakes and scorpions, as well as sandstorms and unrelenting heat. I don’t know about Bloom and Selena being Exes. But I would buy her being a long lost twin. 26:49 Why are you just getting to the riddle now of all times after that long rampage!?
I am ALWAYS ready for watching Winx Club Season 6 (Seriously, I'm probably one of the few fans that actually enjoy this season despite the flaws!) But we appreciate your suffering because you make this series of commentary videos so funny. You deserve a award! 6:53 Actually, we kinda see Magix City in Season 5 when Stella did her Fashion Runway (and Musa & Riven sing "One To One"). 26:53 Can we also talk about the fact that this is the Greek Sphinx (and NOT the Egyptian Sphinx) who tells riddles in the mythology? By the way, I love your idea for the plot with the Sphinx. Better than the one in this episode. We could skip this attack on the city and all this non-sense!
Haha, meanwhile the lyrics of French bloomix are "Take my soul and give your flame". It sounds pretty creepy, since it literally means the total opposite of the English version that tells to take the flame

So, thanks to a few flashes of inspiration from a very great day today, and the fact that this rewrite idea of yours sounds like a fun thing to try, I decided to share a few ideas I might have in it, before they vanish from my mind like so many of my ideas do. Admittedly, it's from the standpoint of continuing from your Season 5 Rewrite, so, I...borrowed some ideas from that for this. Here we go. - First off, on the Legendarium itself. For its creation, maybe, it could have been made by the Great Dragon itself, as a product born of its...imagination essentially - a record of the wayward thoughts or dreams it may have had as it made the Universe. Which...could help explain why much of the myths in the book tend to be hostile; being made of the products of a mind in the clouds without really considering the consequences. As for it being indestructible, it could be said that, as it holds knowledge on so much of the Magical Universe, existing for that purpose, the book's existence is tied to it; so long as the Magical Universe exists, the book cannot be destroyed. - As for the Winx receiving the Dragon Flame in the first place, it could be like, at first, the Legendarium seals the girls' powers like it did in canon, so Bloom gives the Flame to her friends to restore them. In receiving pieces of the Dragon Flame, their powers are restored, but a new form isn't in the cards yet. Their older forms (Enchantix, Believix) are restored again, except now, when they transform, the jewels they each have appear on their foreheads to show their powers have changed. - As for the "wands", remembering an idea from the earlier Season 5 Rewrite, on how there'd be countless dimensions in existence, an idea that came to me could be that the wands, used by the "Ancestral Fairies", were made as tools to enable travel to distinct dimensions beyond the Magical Universe. That in turn, could provide a bit more purpose for all the Winx receiving the Dragon Flame in this season - that they need the Flame's power, focused via these wands, to enable them to enter the Legendarium World. And then remembering once from a viewing of Lisa Fevral's video on Season 6 how they wasted an opportunity to have the wands be swords or something, the wands, when they're given to the Winx, actually become swords, as a reaction to the Dragon Flame's power. So, the girls could be literally slashing portals to enter the book and shit like that. Additionally, this could be what results in the new form (Bloomix, or however you want to refer to it) being introduced, by combining the powers of the wands and the Flame. So, in that case, this new form would only appear when the wands themselves are being used, which would be in traveling to the Legendarium. - Roxy and Diaspro finally earning Enchantix in this season. Especially for the latter, fulfilling a complete redemption arc for her and having her unveil new powers. - As for Rumplestiltskin and getting the Legendarium Key from him, I...kind of thought for a whole scenario for that. So... When the Winx first meet him, he tells them he has the means to seal the book and hands them what appears to be the key, but when they try it, it doesn't work, so they meet him again. They realize, from his words (and him revealing he has a shitload of keys like the one he gave them), that the book can be sealed, but the means to do so don't exist yet. So, each Winx starts trying to convince him to help them: Flora tries the empathetic approach, pointing out how if the book continues to be used for evil, innocent lives will be destroyed. This one doesn't work, as Rumple is, well, in my imagining, the "Chaotic Neutral" type, so empathy and heart are kind of passing thoughts to him. Tecna tries to frame it in a sense of pragmatism to him - if Selina keeps flipping through the book, sooner or later, she'll hit Rumple's page and use him as a tool, and he'd hate being a tool, right? Well, unfortunately, he's more unpredictable than pragmatic, and instead shrugs it off, saying he might have some fun out in the real world when that comes. You know, being a asshole like that. Then Aisha, slowly having enough of Rumple's shit, decides to offer to actually fight him for the secret. Then he shows off a few tricks of his own, showing that using force against him is essentially useless. Then finally, Stella steps up and finally gets a deal by appealing to his ego, his vanity. She points out his status as a legend and myth in the Magical Universe, then points out that she, as the princess of Solaria, if he refused to help her and her friends, she could cast a shadow over that legend, over his reputation. (Yes, it sounds kind of dark for Stella, but, again, having enough of Rumple's shit). But, on the flipside, if he helps them, his legend would only grow by helping the Winx to save their Universe. That's what finally gets him to cooperate with them, and to help them begin forging the Legendarium Key. When the others ask how Stella knew to go that route, she would respond that she knew because, deep down, she can...relate to Rumple a bit, carrying a bit of vanity in her own heart, being Stella and all. But, unlike him, she's got tons to fight for beyond her vanity; namely, the Winx, her family, and her home. All together, this scenario would be: 1. A dilemma that the Winx can't simply solve through brute force 2. A way to help show off the characters of each Winx via their individual approaches to the problem (Flora through heart, Tecna through logic, Aisha through...force, but only in moderation, and so on) 3. A clear-cut mark of Stella's development, in showing how she's growing up and realized the flaws in herself 4. A good dose of sweet feels in the end with Stella reinforcing how much she cares for those she loves So...yeah. There's my ideas.
You don’t know how happy I am whenever I see you’ve uploaded a new commentary! I’ve been slowly rewatching season six so I can freshly remember what happened before you talk about it in your new video
Okay this video is getting funnier to me, I'm doing a rewatch with a friend and we do keep asking why they aren't flying... or dressed even remotely appropriately for wherever they are. and not in a fun way like Tecna's cold weather gear.
I had some ideas for a season 6 rewrite. They involved introducing a new childhood friend for Bloom that we haven’t seen before (and won’t again), that she is possesses a Mary Sue-like power, and that the Winx face enemies they had in the past with the power of their hive mind. Oh wait…
I definitely did not stop the video really quick to search for a clip of the bloomix convergence so I could see the Sirenix nymph use bloomix for a split second
i can never thank you enough for these commentaries, each video is so well made and always makes me laugh/ cry about how the later seasons are badly written haha. But seriously, you're an amazing creator, keep it up!
I like how as you progress through the seasons in your reviews the videos become progressively more funny audio clips. Like season 1 was mostly commentary and clips of the show and season 6 is mostly memes and incoherent screaming.
The mummy fight in my opinion would be better if they had skeletons inside cause in ancient Egyptian in the mummification process they did wrap the dead corpse and in modern time people did find humans in the wrapping
Selina and bloom being exs/unrequited love would make sense. Bloom being completely ignored by Selina one day/so on, could be explained by Selina being scared to tell bloom how she feels, a parent/figure out right shaming Selina for gay, alador/the trix out right being a gay icon too and telling Selina to Sashay away the Hets
I love these two episodes and I can't wait to see your rewrite of Winx Club season 6. I do wish that Bloom and Selina were good friends for the beginning of season 6 so Selina wouldn't have to betray her. Also I love the Bloomix song. I wonder why the Winx didn't recognize the Trix earlier they should have noticed the bad temper, the tornado and Icy's laugh. It would be cool if Selina was in earth with Bloom for the 4 kids version that could had made their friendship more stronger and interesting.
I know you are almost done with the season 6 rewrite but there are a couple things that I think would make season 6 much better. And help you out with the final product. 1. The ttrix should not come back, I think Selena should run the show. By Manipulating and befriending witches. 2. I think the legendary-whatever should have a good back story that connects to its creater. 3.I think Selena should have a backstory on why she hates bloom now, which can make bloom kinda hate herself. 4. Eldora and her dairy need to GO 5. Bloomix can have a different name 6. Bloomix can be made accidentally when bloom gives the grils pieces of her dragon flam to survive. 7. Bloomix can be a temporary transfrom because bloom will need the pieces of the Dragon flam back. 8. Daphne can have night terrors and be scared to use her powers. 9. They can have a new head mistress. 10. Know me personally I think all the transformations the girls have earned except enchantix should be temporary. So while the form leaves the grils can keep some spells but thats it. 11.Stella and Brandon plan to get married. 12. Vanessa dies leaving bloom depressed. 13. Layla and Nex start dating. I really hope this helps, can't wait to see the final product.😊
If bloomix developed in the legendarium because of the Winx being a bit jealous of bloom and bloomix just develops because they are fought in places where the dragon flame was used like the infinite ocean I would believe it
Something I hate about Episode 7 -8 is that they used a *Greco-Roman* book-storage facility, the Library of Alexandria, as part of a university (and of course burned to the ground in 48 BCE).
I was thinking about that and love that you used their non-English English names.
12:36 Bloom in the first season expressed disappointment when she saw that Magix was not your typical medieval magic village, bring back that kind of reactions please 😭

"Way to go" 😍😍
The mummy "fight" is so dang painful to watch.
Their wings were clip by the invisible scizor that are the writters.
Also they literally defeated them by ripping off their bandages. The mummy’s weren’t really a threat. Neither were the zombie pirates.
Because Nick believes that kids shows need cheap conflict where all the characters lack any functioning brain cells.
Season 1 Stella didn’t save bloom in ice when she was tranformed
they definitely just used the typical western animation archetypes of characters to write the girls in these seasons. like they didn't get Stella right at all, but she does sound exactly like every other fashion-and-shopping obsessed character in western animation EVER. it seems like writers didn't actually familiarize themselves with the material at all
You have done a great job too explaining how trash that season is.. and anything after s5 is anw..
@@chrisscostantine7372 In my opinion Season 5 was bad too. Season 4 was ok so anything after Season 4 is bad for me
I love how Bloom has an emotional remembrance of her Childhood friend and hugs her, but then she forgets about Selina until 2 episodes later and doesn't worry about if she survived in the library or not
@Rach It does make Bloom look shitty, but in her defense, the writers were just too lazy to think the situation through. They only bring back the Selina-Bloom friendship plot when it's deemed necessary
@@2hiaE. oh
Yeah I didn’t realize originally that bloom left her to die under some crumbling boulders lmao
The Egyptian sphinx isn’t even a monster like the Greek one, it’s just a big statue… this is like if the Winx went to France and the Eiffle Tower attacked them
Ok now that would actually be kinda interesting, especially for a battle
Dude, imagine if they go to New York and they get jumped by the Statue of Liberty.
Lol!

My rant about the episodes:
@@coffeewolfproductions9113 the only myths involving sphinxes are from Greek Mythology, they were more of an art motif in Egypt
That clip of Musa saying they always wear heels is what killed Winx for me. Back when I heard it on TV, I was raging. Musa with the converse always wears heels? Character assassination.
Hold on, may I ask? How is it character assassination?

@Hope for Aisha I know, but in season 6 she is just the token smart character.
Bloomix should have given the Winx their own spirit dragon like what bloom has when she uses the great dragon

I love this theory
@@aradcohen4309 I also have an idea that the original person who created the book had the dragon flame or used part of it when making it, (you know, since the dragon flame is the embodiment of life, and that would expend to preserving it). The legendarium power is essentially be a magical black hole that has the power to seal extremely powerful magical monsters and apparently regular magic as well. It would explain why bloom managed to keep her powers because the book would recognize the dragon flame and not absorb it as a fail safe. This would not only explain how bloom still has her powers but the knowledge of bloomix as well.
15:33 I’m surprised Musa didn’t hear that. Ain’t she like the Fairy of Music, aka, SOUND? 😂
Season 6 forgot the existence of Musa

3:55 Selina (unicorn's version): And for today's headlines, we have undeniable proof that Flora created one Magix's most dangerous villains.
I've had an interesting realization. During the Nick Era (specifically Seasons 5 - 7) I've noticed that Winx Club has become Power Rangers (Specifically Neo-Saban) but for girls. Just hear me out.
* The uniformity of not just their civilian outfits but Fairy Forms (the differences aside from the colour scheme are kinda superficial)
* Bloom, the leader of the Winx Club is the centre of attention just like the Red Ranger on most Power Ranger teams.
* The Winx can't win a fight without Bloom being present just as most Power Rangers teams are useless with Red being there.
* Everyone has either stereotypical or one-note personalities with little growth or development.
* The girls all do some kind of pose when they transform (Not a thing in Seasons 1 - 4)
EDIT: That last point I made.
I'm pretty sure the girls posed at the end of their transformations in season 1-4
Cause like, at the end of Bloom's, it'd zoom in on her face
@@neonpinkqueen1403 Whoops. What I meant was they pose BEFORE they transform like Rangers doing their morphing sequence. My bad.
Flora created Lord Darkar... Actually....that would be very interesting

i would love to see every girl have their own type of dragon. like aisha has a morphix/water dragon, flora has a dragon made out of vines ect. they literally have the dragon flame as well as their raw fairy power and rainbow/nick could have done so much more with it.

12:26 yes, plenty of hippos in Egypt. But finding one in the middle of the desert would be extra weird since they are aquatic creatures that don't really like the sun.
13:59 they are undead peoples, that's scary.

You are feeding the children with the Winx content. Thank u
I can’t be the only one who watches the first 4 seasons but take a month to consider to watch season 5 but still don’t
@Hope for Aisha I love season 5.
They walk into a janitor's closet and say "Whoa, cool! Check it out!".
These commentary reactions are so much fun to listen to especially when you are feeling sick.

I still ship Roy and Nex and they should have brought Nabu back to live!

Hi
18:50 Oh god 🤣, now i thought about when i browsing a few dub versions and noticed how often they used Duman's voice actor and then i found a meme in which Ogron was like "Duman i know i told you to spy on the winx but that didn't mean you gotta go there now and be literally everyone" 🤣🤣
flora using the same bottle to help griffin as she did the undines in 1x11? guess season 1 did happen.
15:50 just imagine the trix in magic winx just like Mirta in the good old days...
25:55 Piff casts go to fuck to sleep (and it works)

So, each Winx starts trying to convince him to help them:
Flora tries the empathetic approach, pointing out how if the book continues to be used for evil, innocent lives will be destroyed.
All together, this scenario would be:
1. A dilemma that the Winx can't simply solve through brute force
2. A way to help show off the characters of each Winx via their individual approaches to the problem (Flora through heart, Tecna through logic, Aisha through...force, but only in moderation, and so on)
3. A clear-cut mark of Stella's development, in showing how she's growing up and realized the flaws in herself
4. A good dose of sweet feels in the end with Stella reinforcing how much she cares for those she loves
So...yeah.
Zodiax Club Update: I’ve started writing the eighteenth episode of the first season. I’ve also written the season 7 finale.
Another thing with season 5 and 6 is the girls saying OH! Whenever they're in shock
I also low-key love the scene where icy sarcasticly tells bloom thank goodness you're here
Also you got love how the writers needed a way to put the bloomix song in the episode without them transforming because reasons
11:54 is my favorite part🤣🤣
I love how you keep adding memes into these commentaries ❤️❤️❤️
P.S. 16:19 Why did Musa blink like that???
i can never thank you enough for these commentaries, each video is so well made and always makes me laugh/ cry about how the later seasons are badly written haha. But seriously, you're an amazing creator, keep it up!
random but why does molly sound like shes got a cold in this episode?
im wondering if she actually did
25:30
OMG! Finally someone who knows of tomb raider:legend.
I was thinking the same thing!!
18:55 Me, but with Lisa Ortiz in Season 7
A reference to Tomb Raider Legend ??? Oh I totally buy it ! Selina is totally Amanda
6:35 I mean, did you see the look Nex gave Roy? That is a look that says "Wow, he's even hotter up close."
Daphne And flora Carried the season
I love this content thank you for having the same mindset as me in this season I think i was losing my mind rewatching this season
Omg maybe Acheron used the dragon flame to create The Legendarium
I could feel the joy behind the "I DID IT" hidden in the captions
I like how as you progress through the seasons in your reviews the videos become progressively more funny audio clips. Like season 1 was mostly commentary and clips of the show and season 6 is mostly memes and incoherent screaming.
The mummy fight in my opinion would be better if they had skeletons inside cause in ancient Egyptian in the mummification process they did wrap the dead corpse and in modern time people did find humans in the wrapping
Bloomix prototype song is so fucking good 😩🔥🔥
Flora carried them all as always
The bloomix proto song is ICONIC
Selina and bloom being exs/unrequited love would make sense. Bloom being completely ignored by Selina one day/so on, could be explained by Selina being scared to tell bloom how she feels, a parent/figure out right shaming Selina for gay, alador/the trix out right being a gay icon too and telling Selina to Sashay away the Hets
the joke where techna falls into the omega dimension killed me
if any of the girls getting bloomix makes sense it's Daphne you know, her SISTER!
Poor Egypt. Also heels. This is great!
How come a fairy who can set things on fire has a harder time defeating mummies than Brendan Fraser?
“Are you ready?”
Me: “Ouuu I know you see me standing here. Do I look good my dear? Do I look good today?”
I know you are almost done with the season 6 rewrite but there are a couple things that I think would make season 6 much better. And help you out with the final product.
1. The ttrix should not come back, I think Selena should run the show. By
Manipulating and befriending witches.
2. I think the legendary-whatever should have a good back story that connects to its creater.
3.I think Selena should have a backstory on why she hates bloom now, which can make bloom kinda hate herself.
4. Eldora and her dairy need to GO
5. Bloomix can have a different name
If bloomix developed in the legendarium because of the Winx being a bit jealous of bloom and bloomix just develops because they are fought in places where the dragon flame was used like the infinite ocean I would believe it
I’m always so excited for these videos!!
God bless you for rewatching this mess. Its torture 😭
