Your camera work, editing, narration, humor, are all working really well together. Kudos to you and your team. RUclips pro, for sure! Nice summary of Calgary.
Best one ever! Come to Montreal for the tour of the island. They have an elite race then a free for all ride other like 2000 casual riders not to mention the night ride the night before. We're in the Guinness world records for biggest participation.
You schooled the locals at their own event and what good sportsmanship on your part and theirs. And there is just something very inviting about Tim Horton's, must be the donut and coffee and sandwich shop mash-up. And I would have gone for maple, too, especially in Canada, eh? And thanks, Phil, for being a great ambassador outside our borders, north or south or wherever.
I'm so glad you agree that In-N-Out isn't a good burger. I lived in Phoenix for a year and I had to try it once. It was a looooooooong wait for a fresh, but standard burger.
Was in Calgary at that time for school with my fixed gear on knobbies. Saw this race and chose against riding to it... Could have rode with Phil Gaimon.... Not making the "should I race or not race" mistake ever again.
uhhhhhhh...I've never met an Angelino who said "In-N-Out is not a good burger." It's better than the other fast food burgers you can get. i.e. Whataburger, Shake Shack, BK, McD, Carl's/Hardee's. It's just better... Is it an angus gourmet restaurant burger? No. Is it the best fast food burger you can get in LA in multiple cities? Yes!
Awesome, someone else here in LA who thinks In-N-Out is nothing special. I refer to it as the California McDonalds. "Do gravel races have finish lines?" LOL
@@worstretirementever Probably my greatest achievement to date alongside pushing an incredible 170W for over 15 seconds, you read that right OVER 15 seconds. On a serious note though... It was actually 165. (nice video too by the way)
I'm glad Cory Wallace and I were able to mount enough of a chase to make you stop filming for a minute lol.
Dude you should see some of the gibberish that didn’t make the video. That was hard. Great ride!
I want to see an all-gibberish director's cut!

Thank you!
Come back after Covid and climb Highwood Pass. Water Valley is banjo country.
Anddd I farted..
'If you tell a Canadian that you're going to Tim Hortons they kind of roll their eyes' = LOL! That's a great observation Phil. It's so true!
It's above us... lol Canada, bearing down on the US like an angry polar bear, and the US is busy building a wall across it's southern border!
It's not just that the wall is in the wrong place, Americans are leaving themselves nowhere to run!
Nothing like a good Bluegrass tune to get you pumped. City of Calgary you rock! Oh yeah, awesome job Phil.

Classy, just classy. :D :D :D

Was a great group
2:55 that sure is a lot of bikes for the arctic circle
Had to sub cus it's my home town Eh. Loved the video and the bridge I think looks like a large Chinese finger trap Eh.
Darren - My thoughts exactly.
Woo Phil! Another ride in the books!
Good job on finishing first on the Gravel Race! Looks like you had fun.
Hey the Bobsled is still there but it is in front of the main COP/ WINSPORT entrance and not the Canada Olympic HOF!
Dude the Maple Dip has been my favourite donut since I was 4. You chose wisely.
Crave Cup Cakes are the best. One of the things I miss after leaving Calgary.
Phil's deadpan comic delivery is gold.
Showering with your bike .. now that's love :))
Awesome! So bummed I couldn't make it to the Saturday Calgary cruise ride.
Rad one Phil. Are you considering more gravel events exploration for the Chanel? Would be cool
Great video top notch humour !
4:00 Fucking amazing.
Hey Phil,
Dirty Dozen next year?
Justin Hardwick Great idea! All the coverage is Canton Ave again and again. Would love to see a deeper dive

No In-N-Out Burger visits in LA? Sacrilege! A Tim Horton's doughnut in Canada? Cool. I always love you r vids. Entertaining, informative and snarky.
Haha I live there! If you live in NYC you don't visit the statue of liberty
@@worstretirementever Well, I can't eat the Statue of Liberty.
The bike in the hotel shower would have been funnier if I had never had to do it! PITA.
Nice ride Phil

Always race
Excellent video. Really next level fun. :) Can I ask what is the song at 11:15? Me want...
Phil "and I farted" Gaimon, ladies and gentlemen
Someone made it to the end :)
Shawn "Runin" ha!
Calling him that from now on
Sums up Timmies in the 1st scene.
The sled is still there. It is in front of the ski chalet now.
Doh!

Whats a "Canada"?
Great video, Phil. You should have tried the TimBits, best part, the coffee's crap. Looks like you had fun and the music was better too, EH?
Thanks Julian
the bridge looks like a Chinese finger cuffs
Still got it phill chapeau
Haha thanks!
Come to the Barry Roubaix!!!!
Phil and sebastians super good
Phil, just wear a base layer under that Gabba! Works much better than a jersey.
Damnit I love your channel.
Cough(Ringer!) 😉
Wow that race looks the absolute business ! I want a cookie medal :)
totally awesome event

In n Out is a good burger dawg
Tim Hortons shit give me a hangover.
Phil - have to ask - what kind of beard trimmer do you use? One of those stubble things?
Annoying tech question: what tires were you running?
Mavic UST 32 cc
0:37. American audience gained some new knowledge
Dirty Kanza next?
Ha! Retired and still winning.
Come to victoria bc
Aww you cut away from the best scene, the bike washing in the shower scene!
Tease!
Nice job man! What size tires did you run?
just registered for 2023
No need to go tim hortons they have real barristas abd roasters too😊
Next stop DK?
Phil you totally should have had a Tractor Tire instead of the Maple Glaze.
I feel like you have to go classic before you go fancy
What's more classic than the old fashioned?!
what you meant to say, "it's way too early for this crap".
Bowness Tims ....
What did you just say about In-N-Out?
Awesome, someone else here in LA who thinks In-N-Out is nothing special. I refer to it as the California McDonalds.
"Do gravel races have finish lines?" LOL
You keep missing Vancouver Island. It's way nicer than Vancouver
@Mercb3ast Or the Axel Merckx Granfondo in Penticton.
last
congrats :)

Hey Phil how about coming back to Quebec City?
You ate a crappy donut right across the street from one of Calgary's best cookies at Cadence. Massive failure.
They were out
In-N-Out is just as shit as Mac donalds is
Finally someone said it, In N Out is just OKAY.....
What kind of person would promise a shower scene and then not show it? I'm disappointed.
did you just retire so you could do these record attempts without being drug tested???
Get a life
Cagary for riding is super lame
If you don't know where to ride and are soft/need warm weather, then yes... and it's spelled *Calgary.
@@AndrewDHDavidson hahaha, now that is a great response!
