    Greetings from Libya,
    I would like to thank you for the valuable knowledge you have provided. I'm about a month away from opening my own factory using the methods you have shown in these videos, you have been an invaluable and generous source of information. I would again like to thank you for the efforts you have put in making these videos, and for the many questions you have answered.
    I'm hoping to get the Gypsum-Foamcrete blocks I have made at home tested at my local university for its tolerances and insulative properties. Interesting concept. BUT: Test for strength by adding weight to the block suspended by the screw until the screw comes out to know weight pull limit, then see how high it can be dropped corner first onto the cement floor with out braking. And drop an anvilled/sharp pointed weight on It with intent to crush and and see how manny pound force it can resist. All we know is it can hold 15kg. Might not be adequate strength testing.

    Hmmm … the Olefin is just a surfactant that is added to gypcrete. The gypcrete isn’t a structural material as far as I know. I would be very interested in scientific tests of this material regarding its use as a structural material and its weather resistance, particularly concerning water. The strength test shown proved nothing. This material will be very brittle and I doubt it will have much tensile strength. I stand to be corrected, but I don’t think I’d build a house with it.

      @@BbAmazingSkills thanks, but that doesn’t change my observation. Remember this is just my opinion and I stand to be corrected.
      Regardless, ust do some very standard engineering tests. For example, adapt the tests for measuring the compressive strength of concrete block. For anything spanning an opening you need something like a centre point load test. For moisture you need a moisture penetration test of some kind.
      I certainly can see the utility of using gypsum block for non-load bearing interior walls but I remain skeptical about anything subject to moisture for an extended period or that is used as an external or structural component.

    Hi, I'm Nat from Ecuador. Thank you very much for your contribution.
    I made a 2kg block sample but I don't have olefin, I replaced it with dishwashing liquid. A very foamy surface layer and a base similar to your block formed. The block is not very resistant, a small sample broke easily :( Can you give me a guideline? I also don't have the exact dosage since the surfactant is liquid. Thanks

      THey are still concrete blocks, just low density so weigh less and have less structual strength.
      Might be slightly better with insulation since they act like foam padding with all the air gaps in it but without a consistant product hard to say.

  • @jujjuj7676
    @jujjuj7676 11 дней назад

    This sounds like a troll question, but I'm being honest as I like this idea..but I can't help but think this could be a issue with these blocks in a flood zone. Would they not raise? And make a structural collapse of water gets too high? As the air would push them to float dislodging themselves?

    • @BbAmazingSkills
      @BbAmazingSkills  11 дней назад

      this will not happen, but if there is a flood, then any building material will not withstand, except for concrete, but it is not comfortable to live in concrete either in winter or in summer. so that it holds up well in rainy weather, for this I recommend tile adhesive and then you can make any facade from the outside

    Not much of a test. You can hear the hardness from using the gypsum. The issue with air crete was always consistentsy. This seems forgiving as your not even measuring the foam. The gypsum seems like it would be brittle. Be interested in all the properties.
