    At 19:51 the speech bubbles say: I remember. I remember all of it. *You've ruined my life. Ruined everything!*
    There is only one person in all of DC that talks like this. That person is Superboy Prime. Rob doesn't mention it in the video, but throughout these two issues Clark Kent was using phrases and terminology from the 50's and 60's, the era of Pre-Crisis Superman comics. Then, in the first part of Superman Reborn, we see Clark Kent talking to a growling Krypto saying things like "It's okay, it's me boy." Like he has a history with Krypto.

      Exactly, there's a bunch of stuff like "hoosegow". And the way he acts is really childish. Here are a few examples i've noticed in Action 973 and 974:
      For example, he is really impulsive throughout, coming on to Lois like a middle schooler would, way too fast and childish. Asking her on a date, then asking her to marry him right away, even after she has obviously shown 0 romantic interest.
      He's also really impulsive during the Lois undercover thing, he just runs in without thinking of the possible consequences to his actions, kind of like what a kid would do.
      Also, he's really selfish. He goes all out and tries to make it seem like all he cares about is Lois, but once she rejects him, he gets really upset and follows her.
      And when she rejects him after the proposal, he says "PLEASE come back, Lois! I'll be good! I PROMISE I'll... be... ...good." This is pretty much what a kid would think when they're rejected. They just think they've done something bad. The first thing he thinks of to make Lois come back is that he'll be a good boy from now on. In reality, it's a lot more complicated than simply being good or bad. This also demonstrates his selfishness, he doesn't think about Lois' perspective or actions, it's only about what he wants and how he behaves. If he's good, it doesn't matter how Lois feels, she'll love him just because he's been good. Overall, this is just a very naive and childlike reaction and attitude to rejection and women's feelings.
      Even the specific phrases and words he says, "Raining cats and dogs, what a WEIRDO expression... Anyhoo.." "You're going to the hoosegow for a long time." These old-ish expressions make sense when you think about when Superboy-Prime grew up, didn't he grow up in the 70s or 80s? He seemed to be a teen when COIE happened.
      (Side note: Google Books Ngram Viewer shows that the peak usage of the word "hoosegow" was used from the 30s to 50s. This matches up with when his parents grew up. If he was a teen in 1985 in COIE, and his parents had him when they were in their 20's or 30's, they would have grown up hearing the word hoosegow being used and probably used it themselves, which is where Superboy-Prime could have picked up that word.)
      Also, the way he can't stop himself from calling Perry chief. Didn't Clark call him chief a lot back in the 80's? That'd be the Superman that Prime is familiar with, so he remembers that deep down in his Superboy-prime personality's subconscious, which is why he can't help himself from saying it while he's in his Clark persona.
      The Big Belly Shake order, obviously... "Two chocoriffic shakes, four apple pies, and a dizzle doodle, please." "Uhh.. really?" "It'll help me to think." Most adults would get a drink or a cigarette to help them relax and think, but he does what a kid would do... eat a whole meal of junk food and dessert.
      There are a few other instances of him doing something a kid would do in an adult body, like "I'm a FUN guy!"... "AWESOME! I'll make a reservation! Someplace with beef bourguignon and really good desserts!" It's like he heard beef bourguignon was a fancy dinner, so that's the first thing he says. He doesn't even know any specific restaurants. An actual adult trying to impress a potential date would mention a specific restaurant, one that's expensive, fancy, difficult to get a reservation to, etc. They wouldn't say "really good desserts" either.
      The whole "ruined my life" business also makes me think he's Prime. I mean ever since he came back in IC, he's always seemed to make a huge deal about how his life was ruined because of Superman and what happened with his Earth in COIE. Also, of course, like any spoiled teen, it's always their fault for ruining things, and it's never his own fault. (I mean, Superboy-Prime's certainly not the one who got in bed with Alex and caused another Crisis, or the one who went up to Connor and made a huge fuss over nothing and killed a few Titans in the process.)
      Overall, in 974 and 973, he seems a lot more childish than he usually does. He's naive, impulsive, selfish, etc. (all the personality traits we've seen with Prime). I'm guessing it's due to his real personality/memories starting to come through more and more, which finally breaks free when he sees Lois with Jon and the real Clark.
      Now, with his seemingly teleporting stuff, with him entering the apartment, or seemingly appearing out of thin air at the end of 974 could be Mr. Oz influencing things, since we've seen him demonstrate such powers when he snatches up his prisoners, Tim, Doomsday, etc. Or, it could be that he has sort of special reality warping powers simply because he's Superboy-Prime, or because of where he's from originally, Earth-Prime from a multiverse that was erased.
      There are clues not just in these issues, but in the March solicitation covers for Superman Reborn too. The preview covers show a shadowy creepy looking Clark Kent wearing his reporter outfit (which signifies it's the mysterious depowered one, since Clark "Smith" is just a farmer) opening up his shirt to show a bloody/bleeding Superman shield on his chest.
      And where have we seen that? Superboy-Prime. Not only where he carves it in his chest at the end of Infinite Crisis, but in Adventure Comics 4 and 5, where he's back on his Earth and it gets extremely meta with DC offices and his LCS. He's wearing that exact black and red t-shirt with the same bleeding S-shield design in those issues.
      Now this is a stretch... but could Mr. Oz have imprisoned Superboy-Prime's soul or personality or ghost or mind? And that's what escaped? Maybe his soul or whatever escaped from Oz's prison and went back to his physical body, causing him to remember. Or seeing Clark Lois and Jon together was so overwhelming, his mind was able to break free from Mr. Oz.

    It could VERY well be Mr. Mxy, that'd be my second guess, but here are a few reasons I personally think it's Prime from 973 and 974:
    For example, he is really impulsive throughout, coming on to Lois like a middle schooler would, way too fast and childish. Asking her on a date, then asking her to marry him right away, even after she has obviously shown 0 romantic interest.

Did you even get to the end where he says who he actually thinks it is? He specifically says he doesn't think it's Superboy-Prime. Quay Dawgg, great catch! And that's a perfect description for how this creepy Clark has been acting, "a twisted caricature of the classic Superman." On the surface, he subconsciously tries to be the classic Superman Clark he knows, which ultimately fails since us readers can easily see it's just a "twisted caricature" of the Clark we know. But deep down, he's still Prime (hiding his 6 year old appetite by talking about beef bourguignon with Lois).

      Please God no. N52 dying was one of the smartest things Rebirth did. Yeah, he was getting better overall as a character (he was pretty bad before), but killing him off gave us the death of Superman without killing off Superman. Pre-52 Superman is so new and fresh and hasn't been done before and they would fuck it up so hard if they got rid of this so fast.

    LMAO at the ending. I was actually thinking toward the end of writing Mr. Mxyplyzyk as a response to Superboy prime. Third theory: It's Injustice Superman Laying low cause he see's Lois Lane and knows that he's in alternate universe like current one and is all crazy about getting with Lois Again and trying to rebuild that part of his life.

    • @SamaritanPrime
      @SamaritanPrime 7 лет назад +5

      It's actually possible. Nightwing (Dick Grayson) was being watched by someone in a red Nightwing costume with long dark hair- a description that fits Injustice Nightwing (Damien Wayne).

    • @PomaiKajiyama
      @PomaiKajiyama 7 лет назад +1

      My logic is partly that it makes sense story wise (as does many other theories) but also the way I see sort of the higher ups at Marvel saying to the writers:
      "You know what sells pretty well...that Injustice...you should put Injustice in the new stories too"
      "....But Injustice is about Superman going Evil...we already have this great story about Superman being a father..."
      "Whatever...don't need the details...just make something up"
      Now we get Superman Vs. Superman lol

    That was the most clickbait title I've ever seen. It would make sense, though, if it were either Mr. 5th Dimension God Troll or Superboy Prime. The former would mess with Superman like this, but creepy stalker isn't his thing, is it?
    If it's Superboy Prime, however, then it would make more sense, because Prime literally lost his whole universe during Crisis On Infinite Earths, and the lengths he went to to try and restore it are astounding.
    Stay tuned, Rob Corps!

    First does not always equal most popular, best and so on. Romeo & Juliet weren't first, and not even a Shakespeare creation, but they (as written by him) are the number one in literature for most critics and average people.
    Respect MUST be given to Lois & Clark (not the show, so, so average) but you'll always get people coming on here about Peter & Mary Jane when you say things like this (Others too). Because it's one of those things that strays from fact to opinion.
    But I love your passion there man!

  • @SoulOfSparta
    @SoulOfSparta 7 лет назад

    Quick side note: Yes, Superman always saves the day. That is the essence of Supes. He's the ultimate hero, the pinnacle of heroism. Batman on the other hand (when written well) is allowed to be beaten. He can lose, but what makes him seem so similar to Supes is that he can never be put down. As Grant Morrison said, "He's the ultimate survivor." You break his back, "kill" him, or hit him with the Omega Sanction, but he'll overcome any and all of these obstacles. Superman shows us that good triumphs in the end, and Batman shows us that any obstacle can be overcome through ingenuity and force of will.
    Anyways, sorry about the tangent. Great video as always!

    • @gabrielconceicao4048
      @gabrielconceicao4048 7 лет назад +6

      1loobie After DC's event called Flashpoint, the DC universe was rebooted. This reboot was named The New 52, thus named because there are no longer infinite earths, only 52 of them. So the pre-52 superman he speaks of is the superman before 2011 and before flashpoint while new-52 superman is the 2011 superman from the reboot following flashpoint. New-52 superman died in the comics and pre-52 superman came back in an event called Convergence and took New-52 superman's place after his death.

    • @Rylopero
      @Rylopero 7 лет назад

      1loobie the New 52 was DC's attempt at a reboot. Rebirth is it's return to the old status quo. Think of it as a time period. A seperation or major event. As there was a post-crisis and pre-crisis with the major event/reboot called Crisis on Infinite Earths, there is a Pre 52 and Post 52 with the major event know as the New 52 reboot
