Great video again, thanks. Yes you are correct, why not make it easy to refill? I guess they do it like that so your basic driver will take the car to the dealer. My car came back and the issue is the egr and a turbo fault . They have ordered the parts and told me it is ok to drive for now. This will be fixed under warranty so that's good. Take care
@64rickstar That's true mate, but we will keep learning so that we can fix cars ourselves. I heard that kia and hyundai have come with code system that only them can use when doing some of the services in their cars!
Good video, bit one thing to say these tanks are not meant ri be removed to refill. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE IT TO REFILL. You will hate your life when putting it back. Just remove the cover and plug your refill kit directly to the BLUE end NOT the GREEN END.
You need to reprogram the parameters so that the car's control unit understands that the additive liquid is at 100%. If you don't do this, it won't solve anything.
All sorted now, I got the dpf additive reset done. Next refill and reset will be 70,000 miles from now. The mechanic said it is best to remove the dpf and clean it after every refill.
The error message on the dash "Fuel additive too low" on the C4 has to be removed/cleared by a diagnostic tool (plug in code reader) after completing the adding of FAP additive.
Money! The cheapest 5 years old plug in prius is more than £10,000 and with lockdown uncertainty, I have to wait longer to invest that kind of money into a car.

No problem
That's brilliant thanks. I wonder if we could refill the tank while in place
Maybe the new models but this one, the tank has to come out.

@LeonardoBellinati thank you mate. That's what we did at the end. Should have been made simple. Fill in, close the cap and go without reprogramming.
Nice work mate

Yes, after refill, I cleaned the dpf and took the car to the garage to reset, I don't have the obd2 scanner at the moment.
You should’ve programme it to the quantity of Eolys you put it there( 1 litres).
