Actually a les paul is considered a hollow body guitar but its not that hollow lol. SG stands for solid guitar, thats what angus young plays. Anyway im guessing he needed to use that les paul because his bird land would give off way too much feedback with godsmacks amp set up. Ted has to stand in certain positions to his amps to get the proper feedback. Its all about his amps, his guitar and how his amps are set up and teds position to those amps.
This is the way it is done, way to go Godsmack! I like Kid Rock but he made the mistake of not sitting down his mic when Lynard Skynyrd was on stage with him. Know your place, when in the presence of greatness stand in the back and enjoy the moment.
