Nice stock Dan, love my Rainbows and are along time member of ANGFA down here in Australia. Living on the SE Coast, we have Melanotaenia Duboulayi minutes from our house. They are so common nobody likes or appreciates them. However those Oyster Creeks are stunning. You are going to love them, they get a beautiful gold sheen to them. I will be heading north again this summer to collect some on the central coast of Queensland where several species overlap distribution. Will film another documentary series covering it. Thanks for sharing
9:12 Blue Eyes, Plenty in the creek here as well as the Empire Gudgeon, (Hypseleotris compressa) and Crimsonspotted rainbowfish (Melanotaenia duboulayi) as well as other less colorful species. And species color can intensify from different creeks in the same catchment.
Great video. Just a recommendation, get yourself a Polarising Filter for your camera lens. Will eliminate the reflections and help the fish colours pop. You will never go back once you try it. 👍
I would love to see images of the grown examples edited into this video with the names of each on the bottom left corner while the aquarium with those fish are on the screen. Those two things would help a lot.
I think some of them aren't coloured up not only because they are young but also because their in a bare tank. Rainbows love to be settled into a heavily planted tank
Your knowledge and pristine aquariums and healthy fish put the LSFs in my area to shhhhhaaaaaammmmeee. It is so refreshing to see your amount of dedication to the animals you keep.
You were mostly right about the Klasio Creek. It's five meters wide, a meter deep and a few kilometers long. I want that P. paludicola - cause I'm a geek, I guess.
Those multisqumata and bleheri are AMAZING!! theyre also one of my bucket list rainbow fish..I hope you’ll have some again soon ! Love your content and congrats on all your success so far..you rock dude 💪🏼
9.13 timeline are them fish pacfic blue eyes fish from east coast Australia. If so the mature males will get some amazing v colours especially when saprrring
Great video Dan. Been following you for a while. Glad I found this one. I am taking a strong liking to rainbow fish. What is your opinion on the balloon rainbows? I don't have any. But I see them in my LFS. Thanks
Bentley mentioned you getting new Bows in and am stoked on picking up some from you. Placed order for a few Kiunga to shore up my herd and some M. Komeng. NEVER even seen anything on those! FYI,Kiunga are really cool when they reah adult size. G. Gidomen seem really unusual when they are turned on
Pretty fascinating! I don’t know much about rainbow fish but it’s neat to see all the different varieties and localities. I hope we hear about those rainbow Shiners soon :-)
Unbelievable...if I wasn’t going on vacation next week I’d be ordering some additions for my 75! I’m praying 2 of those gorgeous bloodlines are still available in 2 weeks. Full blown rainbow erection right now...
Since I can’t order anything to be shipped to Canada, when can I come down and work for you in your fish room?! I’ll follow behind each rainbow and collect their poop if need be in order to learn about them hands on!😆😆❤️✌️
Brilliant video and thanks for detailing the species just bought 4 as rainbow fish in petsmart but i believe i have 3 species. only had them 4 3 days and they have started colouring up but i can tell 2 are the same and the other two i thought were the same and now not so sure. they had some indonesian rainbows in the same tank.
Thank you so much for posting this video, such an amazing selection of rare species, unfortunately I’m in the UK. I haven’t been to an LFS for months due to the COVID situation so this was the perfect rainbow fix 😍 I had to downsize my tank and give away my beautiful M.Kamaka, C.Bleheri and G.Incisus a few months ago, still not over it 😭 (I have videos of them on my channel)
I'm looking for a rainbow for a 3ft, what ones would you recommend? I'm really interested in the special boesemani and the "undecided sp" I can't seem to find adult size for most of these.
An Aussie here in most cases you can sex the juvenile rainbows by the shape of the dorcile fin females round off towards the tail as males finish off sharp
So many great fish, the Klasioensis are a really unique rainbow and many, many rainbows I love. Take my money...
How large do the running rivers get full grown, would you recommend them for a 3ft(50gal)?
I have the same question about the smaller boesemani
@@treyreppe4348 a small group of aves Creek or Kromsa boesemani would do fine. 6-8 fish
@@treyreppe4348 about 3" so you can do 10-15 in that tank and be giving them good room
Awesome, hopefully I can get the 6 remaining aves creek. And get at least 2 girls
best youtube video about rainbow fish keep rocking fellas 👏👏

Nice camera work! Thanks for sharing this tour of your fish room.

Amazing rainbows. Well done.
Great collection 👏🏻
Awesome rainbow fish and some interesting other fish Dan!!!
Still colorful even at the smaller size. So many great Rainbowfish. Of course not as cool as plecos, but still very nice. 🤣👍
You mentioned quarantine. How long are you quarantining? 4 weeks?
Loved this video dan, thanks for sharing. Rainbows truly are the kings of the fresh water aquarium hobby
I just ordered some of your Melanotaenia sp. "Kali Tawa" and can't wait!! I'm praying you added a male or 2 bc their colors are insanely sick!!! 🙌🤙🧡
Hope you get some tabubils back in stock soon

So what are the smaller boesemanis called ? So I can get some in the future I thought they all get pretty big
Sorry if you said it in the video and I missed it, but how did you go about obtaining these rare varieties? What's the process like?
Wow!!! Those fish are BEAUTIFUL!!! Congrats, mate! Awesome overall setup! Cool video! Really loved it! Keep up the awesome work, mate!!! 😉👍
What an amazing order of rainbows- better than we get in Australia!!!
Great video! Loving the updates. Wish I could order from you but I'm in Europe. I can never get enough of Rainbows!
What was that red looking catfish?
Mystus bimaculatus
Pretty rainbows!

Patience is key with rainbows. First time I brought home young boesmani my wife said, “why did you buy those plain fish?” Now they’re her favourite
The Pseudomugil gertrudae are gorgeous and one of my favorites, but they are Aru II, not Dekai. At least, according to GL several years ago.
How can I buy some Bleheri from you?
Since I can’t order anything to be shipped to Canada, when can I come down and work for you in your fish room?!
I’ll follow behind each rainbow and collect their poop if need be in order to learn about them hands on!😆😆❤️✌️
So many cool Rainbows! I think I need another 125g tank😂
Beautiful fish 🐟
Just gorgeous!! Hey did you ever get any otocinclus?? Thank you Dan for sharing. Magnificent!,👍♥️🌿🐟🌱
Wow I wish I had space for some those are so cool.
Do rainbowfish live better in soft or harder water ?
Are these all taken from the wild?

I just got 7 Altum Angel babies! So excited to see them grow!
When will these go on sale? Dan also what type of water will these fish tolerate
I'm ready!!
Like 100! Attempted a short list, but over 15 fish on it. Sigh, this isn't going to be easy. Great vid and awesome Rainbows Dan!
Silently drooling
@Dansfish, what is the live bearer in the multisqumata tank?
Wow amazing video

this rainbow nerd is very happy LOL
😁
So are you selling as pairs? even if you can't sex? wow I am having problems making up my mind on which ones to get
So funny! You have the most pristine tanks in the business and spend more time apologizing. . .
I have a problem. I want them all!
Fish don’t mind algae , only we do (sometimes)😅
👍👍👍🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹...
