WOW. What an awesome collection of Rainbow's. Because of LRB I now have a dedicated 4ft 65gallon planted tank full of Rainbow's!!! And they are stunning.
Always cool to see a rainbow collection, in Europe we have more hero s like Gary Lange. You could house almost every rainbow species in its own tank, could be the coolest collection ever. I only have two tanks, one community( several rainbows) and one Garylangei species only, really love them. I think the preacox is the nicest one to keep, beautifull and community breeding, always nice to experience baby fish who survive without breeding efforts.
i dont know how many times ive come back to this video as i get deeper into the hobby and more interested in rare rainbowfish this is truly my dream fish room , been searching for the syngeros rainbows for years now cool to see he had some
@@LRBaquatics do u ever sell fish online ? Beacuse i love the syngeros and would also love to try breeding it and makeing it more popular in the hobby love the green blues and yellow definitly my favorite of the dwarf rainbows
@@blundeysnipe I do. I have a website www.lrbaquatics.com Send me an email though and we can talk cause those will go super fast if they even make it to the website.
Love this tour, really clear, I’m saving this one, it’s soo great to be able to identify each one with a label which you don’t get with a lot of fishroom tours- Thankyou.
I appreciate both of you and glad to have met you. I watch this video frequently. Growing out some Goldei Dekai now! Thanks from Circle City Aquarium Club
Hey Lucas, glad you made it home safe from the GVAC swap! So cool to meet you and get some shrimp and plants from you! My Granddad loves the Guppy Grass and I think the Pilo Moss is already bonding to my driftwood! Thanks again for making the trip! Can't wait to get home from work so I can sit and watch this properly.
Awesome...love watching your channel! Your fun to watch and Im always learning something new. I'm new to the hobby as an adult and it started out with a Betta fish and a 5 gallon..now Im up to 5 tanks and want to open my own fish room..I read and watch any information I can gather ...its been less then a year and I dove in headfirst...love this..thank you so much for your time and knowledge that you choose to share with us and educating the world.
awesome fish room tour. and also a great argument in discussion about the putative lack in color of freshwater fish compared to saltwater fish. especially the rainbows look in shape and color similar to all the new wrasses.
Wow! I've been binging rainbow videos for the last 2 days and now I need to keep some myself haha. I'm in Australia and my regular lfs often have some species but obviously never show much colour so I don't spend a long time watching them. Time to set the wheels in motion for my next tank now 😄 the rainbow tank 👌
Have you seen my fish room? If you do need an id on one in this video just time stamp it by putting for example at minute 1:23 it will link me to where the plant is and can let you know. Just do it on a new comment because it doesnt notify me if its strung on the same comment.
Thank you so much Lucas! This is epic, and the filming quality looks great man! the Herbert Assholerodi look really nice. Man Ill have to watch aquabid. The Lucustris, and iriatherin werner look amazing too.

Great video Lucas! It was awesome getting to meet you this past weekend and I appreciate your complement on my mustache haha! Unfortunately I was not able to buy anything from you since I was only in town to attend a wedding but I hope to be able to get some Gary Lange rainbows from you in the future! Keep up the good work brother!
Such amazing fish🥹 i have a 55 with 8 preacox rainbows that I've just started breeding. Lost my first batch to fungus/bacteria so we're going to try some methalyne blue and see what happens this time. Definitely looking forward to messing with more after I get this figured out. Thanks for all the inspiration 🙏❤️💯
Danke Lucas ! Gary Lange ist mein Held, ich liebe die Berichte über seinen Fisch Raum. Er ist so ein freundlicher Mensch. Wie viele Meilen musstest Du bis zu seinem Haus fahren ? Thx Lucas ! I just kind of ran across your channel and I really enjoyed it I’m just now getting into Bomani fish and I have some of the rainbows and other ones and you’re letting me know the names of them thank you so much and God bless and by the way if you happen to have any girls that you want to sell please let me know
Man I know this video was awhile back but damn every time I see his fish room, it makes me fall in love with rainbows. I'd like to know what that substrate that is. Small fine soft gravel. I love it.
I have been trying to convince myself to enjoy/appreciate rainbows, but I just don't understand the allure of this species. That said; this guys setup is fantastic! What an operation.
It's not just color, they have patterns that are unmatched in the freshwater world. Otherwise a good boisterous fish so you can see all the colors on show
I'm so disappointed that nobody sells the hardyheads!! Those fly speckled hardyheads are the most interesting fish and I want some but figured it's super rare and not for sale by anyone in America!!! Lol another Gary fish that is 1of 1 .... I wonder if he's breeding them and getting those into the hobby!????
I have some pseudomugil furcata rainbows, wondering is it wise to mix other Pseudomugils (Pseudomugil gertrudae) in with them? i.e. Will they/are they able to interbreed?
I had them without any salt kept them in a rainbow community aquarium..started with 1 male 6 females ..2 females died after 2 years the rest did fine..
36:30 fly-specked hardyhead, Cratero/cephalus stercus/muscarum. Cephalus means head and muscarum means of the fly, the rest you can work out for yourself ;)
I don’t expect you to have an answer but maybe a rainbowfish hobbyist you know does. What’s the difference between bedotia Madagascariensis and bedotia geyai? They’re both labeled as “Madagascar Rainbowfish” in stores, and they’re often confused for one another. There’s very little information on either on the internet and some articles state that they’re always confused and mis labeled as each other. The ones I have are a lime green colored, which I don’t often see them as that color in informative articles. If you could help out that would be fantastic
Colton Larson I hope you are able to find out what you have. Have you tried taking some good photos and sending to the experts to identify. Also I would try to find some current books. Good luck.
Wish there were more Scientists who are fish keepers on youtube. The C.bleheri are bucket list fish I probably will never see for sale in my lifetime. Or at $50 each and that's a killer if you wanted a half dozen at least. Dragon fish almost the same level.
Pronunciation: Crater o sef fah lus ster kus moo scar um. Translation Bowl head of compost flies... perhaps Gary has some insight as to why. I knew those four years of Latin would be useful some day.
Sir your video is very nice it contains a lot of good information. Sir it is a hatching rack if you can give me some information how to setup it will be great
How do you keep your fish room warm in a 22 degrees below zero weather ? If the power goes out how many hours can you warm your fish room with a backup generator ?
No matter how many videos Gary Lang is featured in, there's always new information he gives. Pretty incredible on how much he knows.
For sure! Gary Lange is the man. I'd love to meet him someday to talk rainbow fish.
Gary reminds me so much of Paul Stamets. An expert sharing openly and passionately. Thank you Gary and thank you Lucas!
dude i see it. Rainbows and mushroom. fishguy and a fungi
Haha! Like rainbow fish, it takes me a little while in the mornings to get my color. I, too, am an afternoon fish.

Ooh! That’s why they’re called Rainbows! I’ve never seen them like that or in such variety or well described or filmed.
I think this is the fourth time I’ve watched this! Absolutely amazing!

Yeah most rainbows wont show much color until they get older. You will have some silver fish for awhile then one day they will blossom.
He's got a green thumb too...his plants looked great. No Co2...and they are lush anyways.
Thanks lucas.👍 you must of loved it there
