Takes a lot of work and sacrifice to look after that many tanks. After having an aquarium store i finally realised that it can be so life consuming and stressful with that amount of responsibility
Anything done well is a lot of work, risk and stress. Rewarding yes but I'm often reminded that people are usually only envious of the results, not the work, risk and stress that gets the results.

The variety of fish you are breeding, especially the Rainbows, are awesome. It's no doubt a lot of work, for you, but a labor of love. Bettas are my favorites, but I also love Livebearers and Corys. Keep up the great work you've been doing.

Perfect timing- I had a betta summer tub where I thought I'd had a failed breeding, so I didn't bring it in when the nights got to be in the low fifties fahrenheit (just the dad), but triple checking the water yesterday, I saw at least two fries hiding in the duckweed! 🙀 they've been outside chilling (literally) and I had no more infusoria made, and I have a dirty sponge or two alright. Goodness I was worried what to feed them! I gave them some BBS, they're at least a couple weeks old, but I'm glad to know this trick, thanks!

Another awesome video, well done Nick! When my tanks are finished cycling and I’ve got some $$ saved up, I’ll have to come and get some Cory’s off you and see what else you have.
I just got back into fish keeping this year and have to collect everything again. I will mainly be breeding L number plecos, Endlers guppies, corydoras, maybe shrimp and snails also. I’ve only got 16 tanks so not as big as your fish shop haha but it’s a start and It’s my hobby so I’m doing it for the love of the hobby. I am editing a video that I have done on my setup which I will upload to youtube but it is far from perfect and the quality is no where near as good as your videos, but I hope to inspire others to make vidoes on there setups to share with the rest of us fish hobbyists/enthusiasts.

Rice fish are so fun, they can survive under ice and the heat of summer. Bullet proof pond fish.
It is best to get eggs imported from Japan, at least that is possible for us in the U.S. There are sparkly medaka rice fish varieties that you have to get your hands on.
I also think wild caugt fish have a place in the hobby, but not for your average hobbyist. Reserve the wild fish for breeders so they can use the wild fish to diversify their gene pool, which help contribute to producing healthy fish AND the captive gene pool for the long term.
That’s the end goal!! Maybe not as many tanks but close to it!! Quite the set up my friend 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Beautiful tour Nick! I think your setup is just amazing. The idea of being able to "switch on" the rain water is a fantastic aspect. I am curious, however, as I breed a LOT of Pseudomugil luminatus but mine do not look at all like the fish your showed in the video. Do you know if there is more than one species of blue-eyes that are referred to as luminatus? Mine have a luminuous stripe that runs along the top of the fish from the dorsal to the caudal fin. The stripe makes it easy to distinguish from other blue-eyes. The color of my fish are a deep reddish orange throughout the body.
Always a pleasure to follow your evolution, I could watch this type of video for hours...

Also, one difficult question - because you focus on breeding, do you cull fish? Would you ever do a video about that tough topic and your experience? I am breeding corys and haven’t done it yet, and curious to hear your experience since it seems to be a part of the breeding process but ppl don’t talk about it much.

There are some helpful videos on how to culture Scuds, Daphnia, Snails, and Blackworms all in a 10-20 gallon tank if you want to save some money on food, I know live blackworms are really expensive!!
I wish I could visit ur shop… also I went to my local fish shop today and the pea puffers were $8.99. I guess I’ve been taking them for granted.

i would absolutely adore it if you made a pellet version of your fish food! it sounds wonderful but i don't breed and would rather give my fish pellets or flakes.
