Barry's teachings like all spiritual teachings are merely sign posts pointing you towards the truth. You already know the truth on the level that the teachings are pointing you towards. Keep going, we will all get there in the end and when we do we will, together, create a heaven on earth. The deepest love to you all.

I am new to Barry's teachings. I have only watched few and there are many interesting things and subjects he touches. Surely there is a lot for me to learn and I listen with my mind open. However I cannot resist the impression that he is somehow...angry. Or tired of explaining. I feel that spiritual teachers should never talk to their pupils in such way. I do like Barry's down to eath attitude, but again I have an impression that his is angry of these stupid questions and situations we ask him to comment on. Has anyone else got similar feeling? Anyone attended his seminar and would like to share the experience please?

+Agnieszka Zembron Yes I get that impression also, maybe it's because he realizes how unawakened/unconscious people are.. It makes me mad too sometimes.
I agree he's seems irritated at times when answering questions, however if you listen to his recordings (minus audience), there is wisdom, depth and insight.
The subconscious mind responds to commands this is why he speaks in that tone

Reincarnation is not a Buddhist concept.......the idea had been there within the Eastern wisdom even before Buddha. The concept of rebirth comes in Buddhism is different from Reincarnation. The other thing is that the Buddhist meditation is not to reach God.
We make this so difficult. There's got to be an easy path.
It seams he defines the ego in a way in which others would disagree. Is instinct ego? I've always considered the ego to be the sense of self, and even the emotions and rages are there to protect us (although they are un needed and thus we transcend the ego), yet he distinguishes those instincts to protect us as not the ego. Thoughts?
I play with amethyst crystals, fasting and tantra which may have led to this, but once I had this dream of my father and brother in one room, and an exact duplicate of them in the next room over, in the PAST. The weirdest thing is both copies were making the same exact motions, at the same exact times, and while I could see both, it was impossible for the doubles to perceive the other copy of them. It was like seeing through time.
Anyways crystals show things, thought I'd share.
The last 7 mins is more important to humanity. The ego, the self and emotions. there is where freedom lays. you folks should cut the video up where he starts talking about ego and self.
Sir/Madam, you say this is typical of his teaching method. I ask you have read his many books - including The Way In, Origins of Man and the Universe, Knowing Yourself, and his many videos/DVDs. Aside from a small section in Origins, it strikes me that he spends very little time denigrating other teachings.
What if it's just recycled, in stead of reincarnation,

Before I even read the other comments I also sensed this is an angry guy; doesn't seem to tolerate folks he thinks are fools. I used to NOT believe in reincarnation but thru getting older & educated I have changed my mind I do believe that we return. What form that takes who can say??
We are our memories.
Memories are the past.
Self is therefore past.
Past always manifests as the NOW.
Nothing (no thing inherent in itself) therefore ultimately reincarnates.
Yet the template of habitual pattern that we cling to changes ever onwards.
Barry Long called this 'Recurrence' rather than 'Reincarnation' as carnation involves the body and the body denotes possessiveness and the sense of personal identity.
Ultimately it is all semantics but Barry is speaking skilfully and usefully from his own higher understanding of such things.
Every master has to do this, because you have to pick your path. All spiritual teaching, even the one representing the truth closely, is a lie, because it is a teaching, and not your own personal knowledge from experience.
As such, each master is a liar, and each spiritual path is a lie, and if you want to get anywhere, you will have to stick to one path. If you keep being unsure and not commit, you never get anywhere. That's a trick of the mind. The master does what he must. So he lies.

There is no emotion is this man there is only passion of truth. Emotion exists in the sexual denial in so called "spiritual people" in the west. The self can't hear truth nor does it know it is a self.
Who picks the parents and the programming at birth and why!
What you have said is incredibly ignorant of what this man actually teaches. It would profit you and everyone else for you to look deeper instead of mouthing off your assumptions.
Answer: There is no thing such as reincarnation of the person we consider ourselves to be now. "A new person arises out of experience" according to the parts of a being which need to be illumined.
Not the same "person" who is incarnate here now.
So yes and no.
There is nothing "you" can do.
Find out what's happening now first, and the concept of reincarnasion will just seem stupid to you.
There is no such thing as reincarnation.
Simply... I don't agree.
